  • Nice Video Townsville Rockpool That You Share , So Very Nice Thanks You

  • I Really Like The Video From Your

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing

  • Townsville is a great place to live

  • Looks like a cunt of a place. Thanks for the heads up!

  • Is townsville always windy?

  • looks so boring compared to europe or anywhere else with a little bit of passion.

  • ha ha ha the rock pools, should be called shit pool!

Townsville worst place in Australia! waste of time going there, the stand is it thats all it has and even that is rubbish! How do people live there????? Why would you go to university in Townsville when you could go anywhere in Australia? flights out and in are so expensive and the army is there aswell...

i could not recommend this place to anyone!

  • Oh, I like Townsville. I'm from Florida, but I'll move to Townsville next year.

Help me! I know it is a tropical city with warm climates, but is it so warm in winter? And if the days are hot, what about winter nights? Summers are very hot but I'm told they are also wet. How much moisture?

Could you answer someone who lives or has been there?

    (by private messages, please)

    Thank you.

  • @elisa375 Answered

  • @elisa375 i live there and its not really cold, the coldest it gets is like 14 degrees Celsius and thats only on rare occasions in winter. but in summer it is really hot and humid!

  • @misscoolishere Oh, 14 degrees is the colder? Great! Then it's a tropical city... Thanks for having answered! :)

  • @misscoolishere its not called tropical north queensland for no reason :p

  • @elisa375 Your better off moving to Gold coast, we get about 1-2 Cyclones in summer, and no fun parks at all really.. no surf... Gold coast has theme parks like wet n wild... its not to hot not to cold...

Just a better place lol but im from Townsville

  • @novocastrian100 I just got back from Cairns yesterday, ours are way cleaner lol

And you've just GOT to be a Cairnsite = and a terrible embarassment to Newcastle too lol

  • @tisaww Well hanging out on street corners would give one that perspective yeah

  • Townsvilles got the worst beaches in Australia eg mudflats and fake beaches. The beaches are so bad they have to make fake beaches. Go to S.E. QLD and NSW Their beaches are way better and have waves.

  • @freeskater7 First, Townsville Beaches are real and as for mudflats - all Cairns HAS is mudflats. Lastly, the southern beaches have great waves and Swimming in the Surf or Surfing is great, but that doesn't make ours bad!

  • @Gigolo8 Not totally true bud, Cairns has the northern suburbs beaches ONLY city beach is mud because of dredging in the past, it used to be all sand.

  • @Gigolo8

Townsville beach aren't real... If you go to the strand on a windy day you don't get sand in your eyes, you actually get dust. The so called sand on the strand is dirt.

  • haha that wind generator is no longer there! im in the video lol!!!

  • hey townsville ....this is a message from cairns...........your town is the bigest pile of shit i have ever seen. townsville???? more like brownsville it is so dry and shit..... it looks like that dry dog shit you see lying on the side of the road!

  • @123imnotracist Keep talking Cairns, just proves how insecure you are as a tourist trap!

  • @123imnotracist I'm sorry but Townsville Australia is by far the best place to live ever.

I mean there are other places I would move to but sorry Cairn (Or should i say that Hole they like to call Cairns) doesn't rate anywhere on my "Places I'd Willingly Move to" List.

P.s. What's Cairns known for? I mean I've only ever heard of it refered to as a hole and that's by people i know you moved from Cairns to Townsville

  • If this is Townsville, then where are the Powerpuff Girls? XD

  • so pretty.... would love to visit some day

  • @mosienko1983 don't it is a fucking shit hole.

  • @mosienko1983 hahahaha, that's a funny joke!

  • oh who was the girl talking? she sounds nice :) im new to townsville been here for 1month now! it's a nice place so far

  • It isn't really cool to zoom in on people and film them on the beach. It's a little bit creepy.

I suppose no one would really care much in Townsville (but you could be arrested for it in other places)!

  • i live here!

  • @ppaige77 i fell sorry for you you poor bastard.

  • my mums in this video lol :)

  • @tim0090 your mum is a sexy beast!!!!!!!!!!

  • I use to live near this place.

  • @DualWarhead smells like shit aye??

  • and sunday afternoons are the sleepy days

  • Damn, they've change that place up from where I used to live their.

  • From what i see in your vid, Townsville seems like a lonely place especially at dawn. I plan on going here to study but, maybe I have to rethink it. Thank for the video :)

  • @gsas602 Not at all mate, there are plenty of people we're just not overcrowded is all. We were fortunate that day to have lots of room. There's plenty to do for people of all ages and interests here and lots of friendly people to meet. The uni has a very active social and sporting or activity life too.

  • 0:15: MASSIVE!!!!!

  • they have nets there lol

  • Can you swim in the ocean at all? Or, are there too many things to kill you down under?

  • Outside Stinger Season, November to May, you can swim where you wish in the ocean. Don't worry about sharks as the crocs eat em all. LOL

  • @lakeseminole Nah its just townsville and north QLD were everything kills ya. The rest of Australia is awesome eg South East QLD and NSW

  • i think im in your little film lol

  • I met the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen in Townsville.....A wonderful example of Australian womanhood. I can still visualize her face. sigh......makes me wish the USA was closer to Australia....

  • i lived and worked at the boarding school for over fifteen years overlooking the strand have seen many interesting sights including dragging drunks off the road, drag races and of course families having a wonderfull time even better now good on townsville

  • You're a sick little man

  • You should put some of Thurrengowa's highlights up there since its now appart of the ville!! like the new sun plaza maybe (see im stuck in germany at the moment and im a little home sick for the Twin Cities

  • OK you're on! I've got some THuringowa stuff in my North Queensland playlist and more to come too!

  • Okay Thank you very much. I will be sure to keep an eye out for them!!

    Regards Ket

  • it is actually much nicer in real life, video does not do it justice

  • your a fuckin pedo mate.

lookin at kids and fat chicks

-_- you a disgrace to Townsville

    fuck off

  • I passed th camera around the whole family that day, but thanks for you're input. It's always nice to know that ignorance is alive and well here!

  • @Gigolo8 ignorance? at least im not some sick pedo fucker! you make alf stuart look good!

  • Come to the Middle East here my friend if u dont wanna be exposed to people doin what they do. or maybe ure here already if that scares you

  • @IPLAYWOW94 lol you play wow, you're a disgrace to humanity...

  • @IPLAYWOW94 #LOL

  • sooo great to see this place !! I showed this to my mom what memories!

  • Woo townsville

  • Can you swim in ocean in Townsvill? I mean is there any dungerous jellyfish around? As far as we could reach the north of Australia was Agnes Water..

  • October to May are the declared 'Stinger' or 'Box Jellyfish' months when swimming is widely discouraged due to the danger. Thing is the water is nicer in the Winter up here and the weather still suits swimming in the sea.

  • sorry for annoying)) Can you recommend any interesting places, crocodiles farm etc near Townsville, Mackay or Cairns. We're gonna trevel to north))

  • There are many and varied places to visit over such a wide area described. Near Townsville is the Billabong Sanctuary with Crocs and various other local wildlife that's won many awards.

  • man ur fucking weird

    videoing people at the beach

fat chicks and guys ha ha

    faggot

  • Read teh description and get yoru mid out of the gutter.

  • I love the strand and the rock pool, it was worth the 2 day drive

  • Yeah it's a great spot.

  • holy shit 0:21 is me and my cousins

  • Sounds like a family get together like ours that day

  • how old are u and u are saying ....LOL?.....

  • IF I laugh out loud at a comment I say so.

  • It's too bad when you drive 4 hours from Cairns and see a nice big sign when you enter Townsville "Townsville, the capital of North Queensland" It's not official, But it's saying how this City is more family orientated and puts families first, over the tourist.

When are they getting the old flying fox up and running again? I'm yet to have a go at it!

  • As far as I knew the Flying Fox was still in use. Maybe there's a safety issue with it. But as the largest City outside the SE Corner Smog, the city deserves it's title. Further, it's jsut as easy to visit the Reef to the East here; Outback to the West; Rainforests etc both North AND South; AND we have an affordable standard of living. OF course we're more People oriented, but tourists are welcome to share with us.

  • Why in god's name would you want to visit a hole like Townsville? seriously Cairns has more natural attractions then the industrial wasteland down the road... Townsville needs to just accept the fact that it will never be as good or popular as its pretty sister Cairns :)

  • LOL, ah I love it when Cairnsites stop by to share their loive for their sister city.

  • beautiful

  • Thanks, we love it here

  • I love Australia and its People

  • Perhaps you will visit again someday and this time visit our northern parts

  • i am planing on it

    it is a beautiful continent

  • I hope you do and I am sure you'll be very welcome

  • thank you;

  • I've heard you have a severe immigration problem,if you don't halt the flood, you'll end up like the u.s.

    p.s. I like your videos,take care!

  • I prefer not to discuss political policies on my videos mate.

  • i really like it at 5:30 when the sun starts to go down on the strand and i just go out and swim and maybe play some footy

  • Yeah, is a good time of day even in Summer.

  • mate is it that nice everywhere up there

  • Pretty much yeah.

  • me and mi mate damo go abseiling at the rock faces at kissing point (0:45) and last week we went abseiling and on the way back i slipped and dislocated mi knee cap it hurt so bad:(

    its a good place though

  • Hehehe, well don't let that stop you from abseiling mate, hope you recover soon.

  • lol when i was at school me and my class went on an excursion to kissing point and we had to look at shells and crap. when we were walkin back some bloke was sniffing paint in the bushes! lol he didnt expect a class of year 12's walkin past him!

  • LOL, Can happen anywhere these days mate.

So how about making some of your own stuff on here or maybe come to the innaugural NQ Gathering?

  • i havnt really been on YT long but wats the innaugural NQ Gathering???

  • Ít's just a simple get together of YouTubers from in and around Townsville and NQ. Most likely an Outdoor afternoon thing, a dinner somewhere perhaps and later on drinks for the adult attendees. I dont think we'd manage to get 30 people to be honest but it'll be something that's ours and a good opportunity to share ideas and to video.

  • ah k cool

  • lol! you almost got caught filmin that dude at 0:33

  • Townsville is the worst by far place I have ever been, yeh beautiful beaches, can you go in the water without beeing stung by a stinger even between the red flags and the nets NO what else is there to do yeh 1 ok swimming pool and a rubbish aquairium all the people there have the worst bogan accents ever and I'm a true blue aussie and it makes me cringe!

  • Hmmm, you sound like you come from Cairns.

  • lol!!!!

  • You aren't even australian in cairns

your all freaking asian fags :)

  • aw good video, this makes me miss living in Townsville! back to very very UN-tropical Michigan... :(

  • you can always come back ya know

  • someday... somedayyy!!! *shakes fist*

  • its always bloddy windy down at the strand, damn i miss that place, i lived there up until 1 month ago, now i live in a hole called adelaide.

  • I've been on the strand when there wasn't a puff of air mate. And nothing's stopping you coming back one day.

  • if i was there i would have my fishing rod in hand and done a runner mate straight to the rocks,,bloody nice looking spot mate,

  • There are areas set up for your 'comfort' to fish off the rocks mate and also that big long thing that sticks out from the beach is a fishing jetty LOL. You'd love it.

  • fer...yep i watched it..!

  • Cool!

  • The camera was handed from person to person. And the whole lot slapped together. I don't know where to go to read your commentary.

  • I like the sone in the beginning

  • Hah! That looks like a very nice place to spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon...and I see that you were "zooming" in on ALL the NICE LOOKING SCENERY! LOL.

    ~OrangeCaesar (Jules)

    5*'s.

  • Well I think the 'zooms' had something for just about everyone, but I wasn't the sole cameraman for this one - the whole family had a go hehehe.

  • Good stuff

    Cheers Aussie Steve

  • Thanks mate!

  • I rememebr when there was nothing there, and stop zoomin in on the cute guys LOL

  • All the same city, jsut different parts - it's sort of spread out.

  • wow! Looks like a very beautiful place.

  • It is mate!

  • Queenslander Ranger Show me the Beef!

    typical daysun noonafter underdown!

  • Thanks, and I hope your dyslexia gets better soon hehehe.

  • I was up there a year ago and I like the heat it gets hotter in Sydney than it does in North Queensland but I wasnt prepared for the humidity as I am Asthmatic I was having great difficulty breathing

  • I would beg to differ depending on what time of year you go. go there in February & feel the heat..33degrees with 85% humidity. Its a killer. you are right though, Sydney gets the heat-waves up over 40's but is easier to handle. I love it up there in winter though.

  • Our Autumn/winter/spring, otherwise known as the Dry Season is brilliant - nothing but sunshine and warm days and balmy to refreshingly cool nights with the odd dip into being cold at night - but that's it. The Wet Season is to be avoided by those with breathing problems unless you live here and get used to it.

  • Yeah it was Febuary I was there actually

  • I raped a goat there once....

  • I'm sure the goat barely noticed Kieren.

  • whos kieren

  • well is it Keiren? That's what you're caled by some on yoru profile comments.

  • I could've sworn that was your sister..

  • I'm dissapointed in myself for living so close but having never been to Townsville. I only hear great things about the place.

  • Then come for a beer or ten!

  • Geez how do you guys get anything done in that humidity? I think I'll stay in Tassie ;)

Nice shots mate...the evenings must be beautiful.

  • IT doesn't take ling to get used to it.

  • It would take more than ling for me...we had 35 degrees the day before yesterday and I just sat there and dribbled. 11 degrees forecast for Sunday...now yer talking ;)

  • 11C and I'd not get out of friggin BED!

    LOL

  • You Queenslanders...always whinging about the cold ;)

I remember back in 1986 being served petrol in Rockhampton by a chap wearing a jumper! It was about 28 degrees and he said he was 'freezing'!

  • Getting some rain up there huh? Pool looks good!

  • LOL, the pool'ssea water mate. But raining it is! And we're lovin it.

  • Are the pools filled with water from the ocean?

    Australia is so SO beautiful!

is this close to your home?

  • Yes, it's filtered sea water so that in Summer we can avoid marine stingers(Jellyfish). And it's about a 20 minute drive from my home. I live up-river toward the mountains.

  • Can your family adopt me? I wanna live there!!

  • LOL, nah we're trying to give up kids over the next few years - had enough of em after all this time LOL

  • Gigolo8 ypur country is quite nice. Hope you can keep it from being overrun by the muzzies.

  • Muzzies?

  • We hear many issues surrounding mulim problems in your country.

  • Ah I see.

  • I love the strand

  • Cool, let's hope we keep it as a 'people's' place and not sell it off to hotels hehhee.

  • aw geoff mate that is the life !!

    5/5

  • WELl you can always visit, there are even better places hehehe

  • you're all rednecks faggots.

  • And you're proving what by saying that?

  • Wow...what a beautiful place. 5* :)

  • Thnaks!

  • I watched in hopes that I could feel the warmth of that sun.

Here it may be sunny, but it's deceptively beautiful. Bright sunny day and it's 27 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • well I"d prefer 27C thanks hehehe

  • Such a lovely place: The lawn, the ocean, the palm trees, and the eye candy make this a fun

    video!

  • Yeah and free hehehe

  • The places where you need to pay to get in are usually overrated, I find...

  • You're probably right there.

  • Great vid Geoff, with some great sights! The landscape's nice too ;-)

  • LOL, Thanks Rob

  • Fantastic footage. Aus looks beutiful!
