I think 2D art work ie painting and drawing is creating an image using perspective etc to give a visual illusion of a 3D reality ie something that you can touch hold walk around.

On examining the tactile picture Buna was sure she was touching a raised image of a hand. She was led into all other "discoveries"

A raised image copy of a 2D illusion of a tent is in no way like someone totally blind having the experience of a tent. This is a show of someone really trying to please.
