Oh, and if you were interested in purchasing any Ben Nye/professional makeup products, you can buy them cheap at Naimie's Beauty Corner - just search the websites up in Google.
Is there a "best before" date for foundations? I ask this as I've noticed recently that my current favourite foundation is not going on as nicely as it used to. It might be that it's just better for summer than for winter (my skin is drier in the winter), but I have had it over a year now and thought that it might just be going a bit manky with age.
@resurrectedwreck normally there should be a jar with a number on it on the packaging of the foundation, and that number is the amount of months it's good from the day you opened it. I hope this helped
I've tried stippling my foundation on, but that just seemed to make my pours look enormous. Perhaps I was trying to get it done too quickly and was sloppy. I'll have to try it again.
I got the Ben Nye color wheel after watching your video and it is amazing! After applying it, my skin was absolutely flawless. I was so impressed. It definitely beats normal concealer, which I feel just "lightens" my skin. Thank you so much as this video helped me so much. :)
I have a question about concealers and color corrector. What is the difference between the two? Do you use both?
I have a lot of darkness (dark circles) under my eyes, bags under my eyes, black spots due to acne, uneven skin color (dark in certain areas around my mouth) and very oily skin which would make my skin dark. I'm African American and I just want my skin to match my original skin color perfectly.
I actually find this awesome that you show your bare face with all the flaws that almost everyone experiences. (Most makeup gurus will rarely do this).
I was wondering if anyone can help me. I'm trying to find a foundation that is the same color as the concealer as use. The concealer, I feel, matches my skin tone the best and I can never find a foundation that matches my skin tone at all. The concealer that seems to match my face the best is the sonia kashuk hidden agenda palette (the more orange color in the palette). If anyone knows any foundations that color that would be great. Please lemme know. Thanks. ^^ Oh and I have oily/combo skin.
The Ben Nye color correct wheel/palette is exactly what I need, but I haven't been able to find one , even online. Maybe I'm not searching correctly. Any suggestion where I can purchase this desperately needed product?
today I tried this and part two and the last one you did on eye brows and lets just say everyone said how cute I look and I think I have a new route lol thanks

@makeupmayhem957 exfoliate, and buy a buffer brush and use it to apply your moisturiser, it buffs the moisturiser into the pores and also gives a light exfoliation
Hi... I've been having an issue with choosing concealer... I have Olive tone skin... My only issue is my dark sleep deprived eye circles.. I would apply concealer, but it tends to cake up... I've used mac... Makeup Forever, and Tarte... but still... for some reason my eyes... not my face... tends to be more oily... is that normal? however, around what color in the color wheel should I choose? I feel like I have dark brown/black circles... is that possible?
@xSndyx Most big makeup stores (Ulta etc) have them, but we also have a year round costume shop, and they have them in their makeup section as well, I think by Mehron.
I know what Im going to be asking for on my birthdays and Christmas from now on...all new makeup brushes and makeup!! You give alot of hope to me regardless of my age, thank you so much!
i have very oily skin...everytime i put on concealer and liquid foundation after few hours my face will become cakey and oily...how i want to avoid that??
@adiraamynurul88 You might try looking for a "mattifying gel" type stuff, it gives your skin a matte finish before you put the makeup on. After the liquid foundation, brush powder on. AND, if you still find yourself getting oily during the day (I do), blotting papers are great, just pat them on your face. If you can NOT afford them.. You know the toilet seat covers in public bathrooms? They make good blotting paper in a pinch! Hope that helps! =)
if these super expensive makeup companys made there things more affordable for regular teens like myself they would make SO much more money cuz teens use alotta makeup!! way to expensive:(

hey erm i was wonderin what i could do for my skin cuz myfore head and cheeks and chin and nose is allways red and no matter what it dosent go away and if i put makeup on top it looks cakey or worse !! can u help ??
@sparkelbabe1009 you're probably just using too much m/u or what you're using doesn't have enough coverage so you have to use more. try using a green concealer, corrector, or primer (I've heard the L'oreal anti-redness one is nice), then putting foundation sparingly over it.
remarkable techniques. thanks, anybody tested Rimmel's new range of products? it's hard to obtain good makeup in Richburg yet i managed to receive impressive samples of make-up by checking out "GratisMakeupSamples", theyre cool!
Hi!, i just got my concealer case a few days ago so im getting the hang of using it but it has yellow part and im not sure where to use it, any ideas? or should i just stay away from it?
anybody used Max factors newest range of products?! their high-quality i keep get more! did you know u can get complimentary samples of make-up through "Gratis Makeup Samples". i the samples on 16/09/2010.
@anonymousvoicesx you should try a primer- if you have oily skin or combo, pay attention to silicones. i highly recommend clarins' perfect touch, it's a great product (a tad too expensive); try mineral foundation instead; another option would be to give your skin a 'break' from makeup (i have the same problem). Invest in a good coverage, matte finish foundation-estee lauder double wear works like magic. good luck!
@Gingers272 so pay attention to silicones, are they good or bad? aha sorry about the questions, yeah i have oily/combination skin and i use a body shop mattifying cream before my makeup, but will check out primers definately!
If you have time to answer, I have a question about the Total Color All Wheel. If there are only 2 different wheels-the SK100 and SK200 (I was looking on the site) then am I correct to assume that if the 200 is for fair complexion, then the 100 is for anyone else? It's strange that there are only two. I have olive-ish skin tone, not too fair. Thanks :)
I have a question.... do you ever find that applying concealer around your nose can look a bit funny if there's some dead skin there? Even after I've exfoliated, toned and moisturized, the concealer still gets between those little tiny particles of dead skin that are still attached to my face.
I've got a question: what kind of effect does spraying toner on your brush give to you? What's the difference between adding toner and leaving your brush without toner?
thank yo very much! this is very helpful and is nice to hear you, im mexican and it was so easy for me understand your english :D, you are so beautiful too ^^

Thank you so much for this video my wedding is in 2 months and I am doing my own makeup.. I just ordered the ben nye concealer wheel II (the one u have) and Ive been searching on how to use it so I know how once I get it. I need a flawless finish and to colour correct! THANK U *SUBSCRIBED* :o)
some of us actually have dark eyes/circles, you don't have to repeatedly remind us you actually have light eyes and just have hay fever, we get it! you want to let us know, you don't usually have any red/dark eyes. we're not judging you
@H4N4B4YB33 I was trying to comfort the girl, she doesn't need to point out her flaws repeatedly, I wont judge her whether she naturally has dark circles or if they were induced or caused by other sources. I came to this conclusion after watching and listening to her video. It is you who is using dirty language and yet you consider me to be improper
Did she use it over the places where she'd putted on the colour corrector, 'cause i can't find that anywhere. I don't use foundation, so it'd be nice to know.. (:
Hi, Well the colour concealer is exactly the same as normal concealer just coloured. So basically when you put foundation over it, the colour of your foundation should cover the colour of the concealer. Sometimes though the foundation isnt very thick so it wont cover it well, thats when you need to put a skin coloured conealer over the colour concealer lol
Im not sure what she did exactly but thats the general way.
If you dont use foundation than its harder to cover coloured concealer
I live in Canada and for the longest time i was woundering the same thing. I recently found that Shoppers Drug Mart has some. The brand name is Quo they have 2 different pallets. Hope this was helpful.
FINALLY! I've checked countless concealer videos, and no one covers how to correct the colors on your eyes-- they usually only cover the dark circles below.
how do you get your foundation from rubbin off onto clothes? i use powders but it still does that...=/ so many say its "transfer resistant" but i havent seen any that has not gone onto clothes . =(
That so weird for me to use a brush for foundation, like liquid anyway. And so the colour wheel thing was the concealer ? Intresting, cause I use a liquid type conealer aswell, and I get okay results, but it takes a long time. I have to apply alot of conealer tho, cause I have really dark cirlcles.
Hi , this is the first video of yours that i have watched and i have fell in love , i have just subscribed and hope you keep doing videos as awesome as this one love lisa xxxxxx
This video is one of the best tutorial covering all the basics..and thanku for pulling ur hair back...I hate it when others have their hair in their face and have to always stop to finger it away so thanku for that!..very good @ discribing ur every step..just sub !!!!
can u plz tell me what nail color u have in this video. u are one person who always always names ur nail colors in all ur videos but im nt seeing it up in the info section for this video :( can u plz tell me what color and shade and brand it is???????
i think it's best if you find out for yourself which is better for you.. try getting a few samples of certain primers that people rave about on makeup forums, and see what works for you
an excellent face primer I use and love is Bare Essentials Prime Time found at Sephora stores! But ask for samples when u go to any Sephora stores in case ur skin reacts to some of the products!
This is a great vid! Random thought: Am I the ONLY woman that puts her hair back, out of the face, when applying makeup??? On nearly every single MU vid/tutorial, the girl always has her hair down. I just cannot work that way.

After colour correcting your under eye circles, do you put on a concealer over it, or just leave it?
natthosch 2 years ago
she used concealer, u just put on your foundation
karly2393 1 year ago
Did she use it over the places where she'd putted on the colour corrector, 'cause i can't find that anywhere. I don't use foundation, so it'd be nice to know.. (:
(thank you for the answer)
natthosch 1 year ago
Hi, Well the colour concealer is exactly the same as normal concealer just coloured. So basically when you put foundation over it, the colour of your foundation should cover the colour of the concealer. Sometimes though the foundation isnt very thick so it wont cover it well, thats when you need to put a skin coloured conealer over the colour concealer lol
Im not sure what she did exactly but thats the general way.
If you dont use foundation than its harder to cover coloured concealer
=)

andallya925 2 years ago
FINALLY! I've checked countless concealer videos, and no one covers how to correct the colors on your eyes-- they usually only cover the dark circles below.
Very informative! <33 C:

how do you get your foundation from rubbin off onto clothes? i use powders but it still does that...=/ so many say its "transfer resistant" but i havent seen any that has not gone onto clothes . =(
mybeautyaddiction 2 years ago
i recommend trying to use minimal foundation. some people put on a thick layer and it melts off really easily because of that.
if that doesn't work, try Revlon Colorstay. works like a miracle for me ^^

What is a good Face primer?
fexi411 2 years ago
i think it's best if you find out for yourself which is better for you.. try getting a few samples of certain primers that people rave about on makeup forums, and see what works for you
