Solo Wild Camp

I would love to start this camping Idea but , watching this , I think this area I'll leave to the Royal marines. I'm looking for forest areas Preferably without some gamekeeper with a shotgun!

@saswales the tent in this video is the Vango Spectre 200, I use a Terra Nova Voayger Superlite now

@saswales I also have the hurricane 200 which I haven't yet tested in bad weather but I know itsw going to wipe the floor with both the superlite and spectre but its alot heavier. There is a big difference in the superlite vs spectre in weight and price all depends what you want from the tent I love the superlite cause it packs down so small but wish it had been an outer pitch first like the spectre would be the perfect tent then but its not...

@saswales Well the spectre and voyager superlite are 3 season tents all depends what weather you in really but unless you had them side by side to test I wouldn't like to say which was best there very close in winds it would be a good test. I like the spectre as its very quick to pitch and it goes up as 1 both inner and outer where I have pitched the voyager in gales with rain which wasn't pleasant and the inside of the tent was wet a nice coating covered the whole of the floor

I've found the best thing for noisey wind whyen trying to sleep is rum. Shit have enough and you could sleep on the grass. Nice vid show what we endure for fun. I think.

Well done great vid, I know what its like in rough weather. The last one I did I had to peg the canvas down when I was putting it up just to stop the thing from blowing away.

@joep4527 thanks for your comment it was a very windy night and day coming back from the spot where I wild camped I had to keep stopping and bracing myself for the wind would have knocked me off my feet, getting kept awake was all part and parcel of the fun I had great stories to tell when I got home

Nice vid mate i love watching fellow wild campers vids, i am into it myself, you think to yourself at the time i am totally mad what am i doing here, but at the same time feel a sense of achivement and when you get back home you are really glad you have done it and feel rather happy with ya self.

It also quite frightening when you get awoke in the middle of the night by yourself in blank darkness ontop of a hill with a massive gust of wind.

Thanks for the nice comment, it kept me up must of the night it never let up but a good test for the tent and my mental trust in the tent and it makes a real good laugh when your back home lol
