Just watched the new Spiderman part one tonightt a frineds house. I made the suggestion of putting Ice Man and Fire Star in the newer movies.

It's funny to watch this as an adult. I have memories of it being much more adult as a kid.

I like Firestar's character. She's basically Mary Jane which means she's a hot redhead, but on the plus side she's got super powers and doesn't nag as much as MJ. Peter actually states he likes her in this cartoon; Maybe they should've hooked up in the comics. Plus she likes geting her best guys jealous! Awesome!

Despite its campy nature; I actually wish this show lasted alot longer than it did. At least 10 seasons. It's just not fair there was no Spidey up until the 90's series which i'm personally not a huge fan of despite the fact i grew up in the 90's.

My understanding is that NBC did run this during the late 80's - very early 90's on Marvel Action Universe. But if it'd lasted it would've probably got better animation and music like the episode Pryde of the X-Men had.

He knew who they were but they didn't know his secret so to level the field he showed them and while they mighty not have had google in the70's he had the Bugle's archives so he could have done research on who they were as heroes. It was a mutual disclosure issue IE you say who I am and I'll out both your asses as mutants. Charles would mindfuck him swirly clean after that but he didn't know that then.

Iron Man: The episode was about the Spider-Friends. Stark was included most likely as a little fan tribute, thus no Iron Man to get involved in the fight.

War Machine: I'm pretty sure the episode was made before War Machine appeasred in the comics. Jim Rhodes was around, but only as a fill in for Iron Man and as Tony's friend.

That's Chris Latta, not Joe, and, yes, he does the voice for the Beetle here...he seemed to re-use variations on that voice, as he sounds like Cobra Commander, Starscream and whatever character he voiced in Dino-Riders.

It's funny how Firestar point out that Spider-Man was a crime fighter the longest,because Spider-Man debuted on 1962,then Iceman fought crime on 1963 (same as the X-Men),I guessing (following from Firestar's origin from the show,not from the comics or actully) she came right around between the 1960's I believe,but if I'm not right then I'm not right.
