this documentary has no credibility! Based on their own criteria of addictiveness and deaths, tobacco should have been number one. Secondly, crack and cocaine should not be judged together. Obviously crack is more dangerous and cocaine would not have fallen to number two on its own!

Best decision of my life was deciding not to use any substance anymore for any reason whatsoever. I learned to get much more pleasure out of the simple things in life. Of course I'm not forcing others to take the same course, but it works for me and my family, and thats enough for me.

There's a lot of things I disagree with on this list. I think Tobacco should have been ranked more dangerous, and alcohol less dangerous. Then again, I don't live in the UK, so my perception would probably be different.
Tobacco is more addictive than alcohol, but in terms of net personal and social cost alcohol is worse. This isn't surprising, since alcohol abuse is socially acceptable. There is no drug whose effects are easier to see and there is no drug whose effects are more commonly disregarded.
Even if you never touch a drop of alcohol in your life, you'll still spend much of your life working to pay for other people's alcohol abuse. Taxation means that we are ALL victims of alcohol.
I think they only have amphetamines in Europe dude, at least that's all i've ever seen here and have never been offered meth in 4+ years of living in different European countries. Meth is pretty much confined to the USA, Canada and Mexico.

Methamphetamine is not really a problem in the UK- that being said a friend of mine whose a police officer said they had to watch an informational video on it and its effects (increased risk of violence from users etc) because a few years ago the 'experts' anticipated it was coming here in a big way.
Yeah, the crack market really isn't that big, heroin is still the biggest problem by far, but there's a lot of people who use both- paritcularly prostitutes who are heroin addicts but need to be awake all night so they use crack and then use heroin to take the edge off the crack comedown.

Factoring deaths per annum into the study completely fucks the list. Making something legal (i.e. tabacco) increases it's use thereby increasing deaths. The reason there aren't many deaths from alot of the Class A's is because they're illegal. This affects their availability and people's moral stance towards them..

this documentary has no credibility! Based on their own criteria of addictiveness and deaths, tobacco should have been number one. Secondly, crack and cocaine should not be judged together. Obviously crack is more dangerous and cocaine would not have fallen to number two on its own!

Best decision of my life was deciding not to use any substance anymore for any reason whatsoever. I learned to get much more pleasure out of the simple things in life. Of course I'm not forcing others to take the same course, but it works for me and my family, and thats enough for me.

interesting documentary one that doesn't play by the usual standard , I have tried cannabis and like most people was around it at a young age i first smoked it when i was 14 and i never really got hooked and it never done anything for me , i drink once a week and am a social smoker i probably average smoking a 10 deck a week , and very rarely i have cocaine maybe about 3-4 times a year on special occasions just for the buzz and if im honest i love cocaine n booze as long as ur in control its ok

Right, but there are risks with weed, like any drug. Smoking is never good for the lungs and weed is known to worsen schizophrenia. And I've known people who have gotten into accidents while driving high. Of course, these effects are much milder than alcohol or harder drugs, but they are risks nonetheless. But what are the physical or psychological risks of shrooms? Are they in any way toxic?

There's a lot of things I disagree with on this list. I think Tobacco should have been ranked more dangerous, and alcohol less dangerous. Then again, I don't live in the UK, so my perception would probably be different.

Tobacco is more addictive than alcohol, but in terms of net personal and social cost alcohol is worse. This isn't surprising, since alcohol abuse is socially acceptable. There is no drug whose effects are easier to see and there is no drug whose effects are more commonly disregarded.
Even if you never touch a drop of alcohol in your life, you'll still spend much of your life working to pay for other people's alcohol abuse. Taxation means that we are ALL victims of alcohol.

I think they only have amphetamines in Europe dude, at least that's all i've ever seen here and have never been offered meth in 4+ years of living in different European countries. Meth is pretty much confined to the USA, Canada and Mexico.

In EU Meth didn't exploded like in USA, It's the as for crack, In US they were smoking tons of it but not in Europe. Here they used heroin and went to the rave drugs. I think it has to do with alcohol prohibition in USA.

amphetamine is much less addictive (it couses awful hangovers so its nearly imposible to do it every day). I guess meth doesnt cause hangovers, its much stronger and much more addictive. I watch a documentary where bunch of junkies were telling their story and they claims that they do it 5 days not spleeping and eating, and after they are sleeping 3 all days...
I know ppl who tried amphetamine and none of them is addicted now. But personaly I know also its quite seducting when you tried it once.

Methamphetamine is not really a problem in the UK- that being said a friend of mine whose a police officer said they had to watch an informational video on it and its effects (increased risk of violence from users etc) because a few years ago the 'experts' anticipated it was coming here in a big way.

Yeah, the crack market really isn't that big, heroin is still the biggest problem by far, but there's a lot of people who use both- paritcularly prostitutes who are heroin addicts but need to be awake all night so they use crack and then use heroin to take the edge off the crack comedown.

Factoring deaths per annum into the study completely fucks the list. Making something legal (i.e. tabacco) increases it's use thereby increasing deaths. The reason there aren't many deaths from alot of the Class A's is because they're illegal. This affects their availability and people's moral stance towards them..
