Is it just me, or did the actor portraying Peter look a little bit like Neil Patrick Harris? I like the 1980 made-for-televsion version better. The actor portraying Peter in that film also plays Dorothy's son, Michael, on the Golden Girls.

The movie in black and white is the one of the best. I think that really shows this story best. Besides Anne Frank: The Whole Story. Those are the two best movies telling this story.

I didin't see the other movies about her, but all I can see is a 13 year-old girl afraid of all things happening aroud her, like any other teenager. But I don't know the other versions.

@Ealasaid17 you have to remember that she is 13 year old with 13 year old thinking. in other ways she is more mature. thats what so great about her, she is the average young teen caught up in a world of hate and violence.

@desiguy55 I said Anne WAS NOT as stupid as what as is portrayed here. And its true, she KNEW damn well that was going on in the world and never innocently asked her Father why they had to be quiet all the time, she wasn't blind for the 12 years she wasn't in hiding of course she would have known her Father's factory had workers BEFORE they went into hiding.
