I know Kevin Costner played Robin Hood with an American accent, and uses several americanisms throughout the movie. And there are alot of innacuracies throughout the movie. But despite that, this is a great movie and easily the best Robin Hood movie of them all!

This version is really good, and the 1938 swashbuckler with Errol Flynn & Basil Rathbone is also excellent (Rathbone was a professional swordsman in real life, and he boasted that he could have killed Erro Flynn, had the fight been real).

Ein gutes Beispiel dafür, wie entscheidend ein guter Filmsoundtrack, als auch die Hintergrundmusik eines Filmes, für die Atmosphäre eines Filmes beitragen kann. Das ist Abenteuer-Helden Musik...und man fällt in die Story hinein. Dies ist für mich die beste RH-Verfilmung! RH von 2010 ist zwar relativ historisch, aber größtenteils langweilig und gegen Ende auch recht lächerlich. An RH von 1991 kommen all die anderen Filme über die Legende nicht vorbei.

I was obsessed with this film when I was a little girl. Not only that, I'd pretend to be in Robin Hood's gang. This soundtrack was my first actual CD I bought and I don't regret it.

I don't care if the movie was poor, it's still golden in my eyes and its better than that Ridley Scott Robin Hood film.

This movie is awesome and great, no doubt. Unfortunately, they had to dubb the German version again because of the "new" scenes added on the DVD. New voices, stupid voices (at least when you're used to the old ones). The same with Jaws. Stupid new dubbings...

Apples and oranges, IMHO... that's the great thing about the Robin Hood story; it allows for totally different interpretations of the subject matter. I like both movies A LOT - both Russell Crowe and Kevin Costner have a very own approach to the role, which makes each movie memorable in their respective way.
