  • unfortunately people tended to talk about The vocalist & violinist rather than the songs, great stuff tho.

  • mamma mia la violinista!!!!!

  • R.I.P. Gerry Ryan.

  • @metal1313 ..... not even Wendy James. Better than Wendy James and Debbie Harry. Awesome track. Stuff at end seems to drag a bit

  • I think We have another self aid again and Ceann Comhairle John O'Donoghue should be MC.

Then we could brick the cunt out of it with Rotten Tomatoes stuffed with Dog Shite.

  • Can't believe I had forgotten this song. Thought it was brilliant then and still is now.

  • Interesting how this is suddenly relevant/popular again

  • a pox on all your comments. All I can say is that I enjoyed them in katie reillys on the waterford tramore road. Yes I would have given angela de burca one. Still would.

  • I love this song! Great video!

  • Lesley - one of THE most attractive ladies in music

  • bruler68 grudges other men their fame? It would be sad, sad, sad if his partner had to cope with his fans.

I googled a great group - really happy to have found one. Saved as Favourites : )

  • this is what the world needs a frickin fiddle solo.

  • Im wondering if there is a video of " take my hand" singing by Sinead O'Connor, maybe somebody knows???

  • Afraid not. We can't even locate the demo she did of it.

  • On my iPOD, baby!!!

  • Best irish pop/rock song ever!!!

  • jasus i would love to c this band live again

  • Gerry Ryan still on RTE with the same type programme 23 years later. So sad. RTE, despite thinking they are challenging, are a bit like the Catholic hirerarchy of old, a monolithic, dogmatic organisation with archbishop type figures (kenny, joe duffy, ryan and even Fanning) pontificating.... sad, sad, sad.

  • the people get what they deserve.

  • Great band in their day!!! Remember seeing them do a blinding set at the Newmore in Carrickmacross!!

  • same here! the sad deluded bint thinks she is irelands answer to debbie harry when she isnt even wendy james.

  • i know it's crude but i don't care lesley dowdall's a ride

  • In Tua Nua's unreleased album 'When Night Came Down On Sunset'is now available on iTunes. Larry Gogan made it RTE Radio 2FM's album of the day recently.

  • Thanks for that Optophonic...but who went down... where....? Your taking me back to the car park outside the Fountain Blue in Longford but best say no more or we could find ourselves in the same boat as the Stoker did!!! Actually it is "When night CAME down on sunset".

    Singed, The Phantom

  • In Tua Nua's unreleased album 'When Night Went Down On Sunset' recorded for Virgin Records back in 1989 just before they broke up is now available on iTunes.

  • Whatcha mean 'Great violin playing Aingeala'? The violin is not as wooden as the playing. What a loss Steve Wickham was to In Tua Nua and what a boon to The Waterboys. Compare his playing on "The Pan Within" or "Medicine Bow" with this crud from Miss Narcissist 1987! Look at the 'look-at-me' entrance! She killed the entire group in more ways than that. But then a lot of people were "Briefly Acquainted!"

  • Ha ha, so everyone fancied Lesley then?

    Soooo good like...

I fancied her first tho, so get bent.

  • Lovely to see you again, Aingeala DeBurca, great violin playing. We were briefly acquainted way back when...KJ.

  • still in love with lesley. What da fu*k was your man on about - disco in europe??? DANCE??? Ha Ha!

  • I loved this song since the 80's ...

One of my all time favorites!

  • There are some rare in tua nua items on ebay at the moment

  • lesley youre a fuckin ride

  • Lesley and Angeala, now there's heaven! :D

  • optophonic 100 i declare u a saint

  • What a great video - what a girl!

  • Nostalgia! 21st anniversary of that gig is only a few days off (17th May)

  • Waited AGES for more IN TUA NUA. Thanks.

  • good memories. One of my favorite bands in the 80's. Thanx for posting it
