all you cs fans there is a new game coimg out called Counter-Strike Promod. iit was released two ro three years ago but is being released as someone took the code so they had to start with new code. It looks better then source but has 1.6 game play. Help renew the passion for one of the best games of all time by spreading the word. There is a steam group that is free for anyone to join. It free for download at the end of the month remember though it is jsut a beta. buggs will be worked on.
I play both games and i would probably play 1.6 more if the bullets went where i wanted, yes u read right! In "sauce" when i put my crosshair on a guys head and shoot guess what happens, bum hs! in 1.6 when i do the same thing the shoot wont reg.. and ive played around with tons of settings with both games so im not a noob at that =/ And to be clear im not talking about recoil. i just find the reg better in source.
As a 1.6 main player who switched to source, I thought source was going to be garbage, once I got there, I hated source, but as I played it more I started to enjoy it more and now I won't go back to 1.6, the graphics make it easier on my eyes, and the game play is now just as decent as 1.6 for me haha.
I like 1.6 for pubbing, but more competitively, I enjoy sourcebetter.

When 1.6 came out people was used to the easy movement in half-life. When Half-Life 2 came, they changed it to more realistic. No more bunnyhopping over every ledge. Why do 1.6 players the diss CS:S? IMO its because of two reasons, movement and gameplay were radicaly changed. You didn't have the same character movement you had in 1.6 and weapons like usp, they got kind nerfed. It became less accurate. I think those are the reasons why 1.6 players diss CS:S
physics plays a gigantic part in how bullets work in source and that's the main reason why it's so terrible. you should do some more research or try to look at it from both technical perspectives.

The first counter strike i played was Source, i used to say how good it was and that 1.6 looked shit. But now that ive been playing 1.6 for a while, the gameplay is a lot better than source. Its also harder to aim and the recoil is more challenging to control. Source is an ok game, the graphics are pretty awesome and its a fun game, but 1.6 is better if you play it competitively

Lol kid im not saying 1.6 is an exact simulation its still a video game. The recoil in source is SOOOO unrealistic. Bullets dont spread that lightly. The ak has like not bite to it. In 1.6 the recoil is still not that life like. But compared to the piece of shit amazingly beautiful game that is source.....yea.

all you cs fans there is a new game coimg out called Counter-Strike Promod. iit was released two ro three years ago but is being released as someone took the code so they had to start with new code. It looks better then source but has 1.6 game play. Help renew the passion for one of the best games of all time by spreading the word. There is a steam group that is free for anyone to join. It free for download at the end of the month remember though it is jsut a beta. buggs will be worked on.

I play both games and i would probably play 1.6 more if the bullets went where i wanted, yes u read right! In "sauce" when i put my crosshair on a guys head and shoot guess what happens, bum hs! in 1.6 when i do the same thing the shoot wont reg.. and ive played around with tons of settings with both games so im not a noob at that =/ And to be clear im not talking about recoil. i just find the reg better in source.

in source you shoot a guys chest and you get a dome shot
in 1.6 (as in real life) bullets dont spread so lightly. you shoot an ak for more than 4 bullets continuously you bet your ass its gonna go crazy.

As a 1.6 main player who switched to source, I thought source was going to be garbage, once I got there, I hated source, but as I played it more I started to enjoy it more and now I won't go back to 1.6, the graphics make it easier on my eyes, and the game play is now just as decent as 1.6 for me haha.
I like 1.6 for pubbing, but more competitively, I enjoy sourcebetter.

bad gameplay(average player in source = 7 year old kid playing 1.6 the noobest of of all)
and bad maps i know the graphics is good but whats up with all the barrels and destroyed cars is that realistic. NO!

for me the worst part of css is that every random shot is headshot ( i dont know if i made myself clear), the gameplay is different from 1.6, its worst, there all kinds of shit in the map like barrils and car pieces and you get stuck on him, you cant wallbang, is just inferior, better than condition zero tough

When 1.6 came out people was used to the easy movement in half-life. When Half-Life 2 came, they changed it to more realistic. No more bunnyhopping over every ledge. Why do 1.6 players the diss CS:S? IMO its because of two reasons, movement and gameplay were radicaly changed. You didn't have the same character movement you had in 1.6 and weapons like usp, they got kind nerfed. It became less accurate. I think those are the reasons why 1.6 players diss CS:S

physics plays a gigantic part in how bullets work in source and that's the main reason why it's so terrible. you should do some more research or try to look at it from both technical perspectives.

My opinion is. Source is much more realistic, but 1.6 has so many memories from it, in everyone who has played it.
Source can't give you that it has only been out for 4-5 yrs. I play Source and am waiting for updates for it.

WTH are u talking about. The veteran 1.6 players went to source and dominated the source players . Look at how TEAM 3D won WCG 2005 on a short notice to play source. They played 1.6 to qualify in WCG 2005 but later it was changed to Source in the actual WCG 2005 tournament

counter strike online came out like 1 or 2 years ago, it's on HL1 engine and it looks like CS:CZ. It's only made for asian players. But don't worry, valve is thinking about making cs2

I think the ONLY difference between the two is that one is easier to pick up and play, try picking up 1.6 and see how far you get if you've never played an fps before, you;ll get rocked by everyone whos been playing for like 5 years. source on the other hand is really easy to get used to because it has easier to control recoil, less glitches.. etc

Oh I like both. I do prefer Source for some reason. I just think its one of those deals where people who lik source will always say it is better, and people who like 1.6 will always say that it is better. Either way....all of these peoples opinion doesnt mean shit. In the end, its your own opinion that you actually count. So its no use saying it runs bad if people don't, and will never believe it. I do understand that some do though. Im just stating my opinion that nobody will ever be right.

The first counter strike i played was Source, i used to say how good it was and that 1.6 looked shit. But now that ive been playing 1.6 for a while, the gameplay is a lot better than source. Its also harder to aim and the recoil is more challenging to control. Source is an ok game, the graphics are pretty awesome and its a fun game, but 1.6 is better if you play it competitively

source is dead now that CGS is dead. all the pros moved back to 1.6. now why would they do that if source is better? they milked all the money off source while it lasted, and now theyre back to the game they love. source was a tool they used to make money. now its useless. its sad but true.
