two things:

1. The king looks like a mexican mario

2. How the fuck does the princess send mario letters when she's locked up in the castle?!

she did not captured till about world 8 after u saved all the kings. It's right after you got passed world 7 you'll get that letter from bowser saying hahaha i captured the princess while you're running around.

then why the hell is mario running around all these worlds?

toad told princess peach that the koopalings are causing havoc throughout the mushroom kingdom by transforming the kings into these animals. So that is why mario has to get the wands to save the kings.
