The part that pains me so much is how alone Asch looks when he dies. Even though he helped everyone so much, in the end he dies with no one around to see or to feel for him. It's really heartbreaking.

Dont believe me look at the ending again. after Lorelai speaks with him and the screen lowers look at Asch's hand (Closely). TOTA's ultimate badass lives. it just took them a while to rematerialize or perhaps he was absorbed by luke who knows

And the room is so big, with no life in it... Then there's his pale washed out face. God damn it, this is probably the best death I've EVER seen.

There were two statues in the foreground that looked the same, and then there were two statures in the background, one with short hair and one with long, and they were JOINING HANDS! WAIT A MINUTE! Did everyone see that? The moment Asch died, the camera zoomed out. There were two statues in the foreground that looked the same, and then there were two statures in the background, one with short hair and one with long, and they were JOINING HANDS! As though they were coming together for something...symbolism much? Asch didn't die, HAH! VERY CLEVER NAMCO!

@KudoKaitou Pause at 0:48. In the front, there are two statues, and they are standing apart. Behind Asch, there are also two Statues, one with long hair and one with short. Those statues are joining hands. It's symbolism for Asch and Luke coming together in some way.
