I don't think it matters how you pray, whether you go to church, or if you're Jewish, Wiccan, or Catholic as long as you have some sort of faith in something greater than yourself. This is from a Catholic who formerly followed the Wiccan religion for over 20 years. Even Einstein believed in God. Just not a God that cares about the petty things we do with some sort of hateful system of checks and balances like Heaven and Hell.

I think Catholics have it all wrong...I know I'm gonna get some hate for this but here goes. Catholics don't go to church or sing hymns because they want to, its engrained in thier heads. They are so brainwashed that the only way you can get close to God is going to mass and eating bread and reading bible passages. THIER WRONG! What God want is us to be in a RELATIONSHIP with him! Things you will need to know are in that amazing book! What if someone who knew you believed in God came and asked you a question about some stuff in the Bible? What are you going to say? That was the main campaign for the Crusades, but it's also inclusive of the other things that happened during the 16th Century. They also killed anyone who they deemed a pagan.
Regardless, Christians still slaughtered thousands upon thousands of people, if not millions.

Non-Christians weren't allowed in church services and anyone breaking the law of the Bible was executed or banned from the area . Nowadays morals of Christians are much different. We welcome unsaved people to try and show them what they are missing by not having a relationship with God. My point is, yeah the stuff Christians did back then are crazy. But they were alive and burning for God, which is always right.

@nukebomb24 you're not wrong. However, many people lack the historical AND biblical knowledge and understanding to be able to explain that there was NOTHING genuinely Christian about the Crusades. They were a politically, culturally motivated power-grab made under the mantle of Christianity.
If something is genuinely Christian, it will stand up under the scrutiny of the scriptures. The crusades do not meet the challenge. They were in Christ's name, but they WERE NOT Christian.

my friend, i have been waiting for someone to say that. Being with the lord is a relationship, not a structured system of rules and duties... Instead of being a puppet to a false version of him, people need to see that he is willing for a relationship, instead of some picture that you follow a book of "rules" too..

@Lycanpaester what you say is true but that doesnt mean all Catholics are this way, i have a catholic friend and she has a closer relation ship then many other that claim to be christian but this all goes back to what you said its a relationship, and all it takes to be saved catholic or not is to speak with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is lord.
@Lycanpaester The Catholic faith goes right back to the time of Christ. God does want us to have a relationship with him, and that's what the catholic faith teaches. What better way to get to know Christ then by receiving the holy communion, and Christ dwell within you? Catholics don't want to, just like I doubt Jesus wanted to fast in the wilderness for 40 days. It's not about like or dislike..It's about the health of your soul.
@Lycanpaester I was raised catholic and another thing that they told us was you have to go to something called "confession" this is where you are in a very small booth with you on one side and a priest on the other, you cannot see the priest and he cannot see you due to a window right in between the both of you but you can only hear each other speak. You are told to tell him all of the past "sins" you commited in your life like disobeying your mother and father, lying, stealing ect.

Some of the highest rated comments on other songs like this are "I dont care if they are christian, i just like the song!" You can't win a soul through songs like that. no offense but this band just promotes my already negative views on Christianity. This song is about their belief that they can never die, just because they are in the cool Christian club. If something is genuinely Christian, it will stand up under the scrutiny of the scriptures. The crusades do not meet the challenge. They were in Christ's name, but they WERE NOT Christian.

@Lycanpaester The Catholic faith goes right back to the time of Christ. God does want us to have a relationship with him, and that's what the catholic faith teaches. What better way to get to know Christ then by receiving the holy communion, and Christ dwell within you? Catholics don't want to, just like I doubt Jesus wanted to fast in the wilderness for 40 days. It's not about like or dislike..It's about the health of your soul.

@Lycanpaester I was raised catholic and another thing that they told us was you have to go to something called "confession" this is where you are in a very small booth with you on one side and a priest on the other, you cannot see the priest and he cannot see you due to a window right in between the both of you but you can only hear each other speak. You are told to tell him all of the past "sins" you commited in your life like disobeying your mother and father, lying, stealing ect.

This is one of the things i hate most about christainty, and religion in general, the elitest and cowardly idea that there is something waiting for you after death, but not for others who don't share your beliefs.

Satanism is worshipping SATAN, obviously, and Satan is the definition of evil so by calling not evil you have no true definition of what evil is. Christianity has its faults, some big and some small, but we've become a mature religion and much more.... "relaxed" I guess is a good word. True Satanism includes practices such as human sacrifice. nobody said that anti-Christian haters have to come here and start a war over Christianity or nobody told Christians to act like whatever towards other people.here this is music folks...and do you know what music has done for our world?changed it more than anything else.
what is wrong with Christians being in metal bands anyways?the devil wears prada(Christian metalcore band) and they sing about God but by screaming.
if you want some opinion war go to a barny vid and leave us metalheads alone

@scottelgin4life U don't have to be a prophet to hear GOD's word. But, religion (which is wat a lot of the Catholic ways tend to lean more on than a TRUE & LOVING RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST) would put some1 n a high position. A CHRISTIAN is a CHRISTIAN. Theres no higher or lower class of them.
