Bukhari, that was a very nice upload of PTV verion, if you rememer a DVD from Burhan " Tribute to Noor Jahan " they have added 2 songs of Lakht e Jigar. Please check it out. Yaar you have mentioned that, TipTop might release this Gem soon. Any update? Thanks again for this great upload. Love it..Please post any update or any new releases in the market. thanx.. Burhan wala version ab jhankar mein available hay..TipTop ko complete movie ki offer Rs.60,000 mein hay ..still negotiating..along with Baji, Mehndi walay hath, Beqarar and Gulnar..All have reached in Multan..

Corrected copy of JeeDaar Cd-I is out now..but they didnt withdraw old copies from market cuz all of them were sold like a hot cake, as expected :) so u have to check n buy from shops.

Bhatti sahab's Kochwan is released by TipTop on Eid in DvD. Its also available in VCD by TipTop but both prints are different. VCD has dull print and songs have skippings where as DvD has great audio video and no skipping :-)

indeed it is..derubala (sister of great Madhubala) I remember i had a habit to sing high pitch songs some 25 years ago..and believe me i could manage a lot from Rafi sahab, Inayat Hussain Bhatti & Masood Rana and others but three or four songs i failed..this was one, 2nd was MK's "Na moonh chhupa k jeo" 3rd by Rafi in Vasna "aaj is darja pila do" and a few from 80's n 90's like one by Asad Amanat Ali Khan "Awaz wo jadu sa jagati hui awaz" and One by Roop Kumar Rathor "Aey jatay huay Lamho" V.Tuf

Every country has their cultural icons and Noor Jehan is the icon of Pakistan. The US had Judy Garland, France had Edith Piaf, Egypt had Um Khatoon, Iran has Googoosh, etc etc etc. If you want to understand those cultures, a great starting point is to learn about their icons.

I agree Mani.. this is highly under-rated but am hopeful that the true music lovers like you will spread this fragrance to next generations..cuz hum log to ab apna kaam kar chalay..do check all my Noor Jehan uploads this month plz. You may come across some good songs i hope...cuz i repeat "you are the one who knows the value of great music" :)
