I was at this show. It was at the Wilshire Theater in Beverly Hills, CA. It was the most unbelievable show I ever saw. This was the first time I heard this song and I couldn't get it out of my head for weeks. ;-)
Great song but there's only sound coming out of 1 speaker. This version is exactly the 1 that I've heard on the radio in 1984. I recorded the entire concert and this song got cut because I had to flip the tape over. I think this show was released on video disk. It's hard to find and U need a video disk player.
Great song but there's only sound coming out of 1 speaker. This version is exactly the 1 that I've heard on the radio in 1984. I recorded the entire concert and this song got cut because I had to flip the tape over.
I remember this concert very well. I believe HBO aired this concert on their network in 1983. I watched it every time it came on and even recorded it to a VHS tape which is long since been lost. I really wish it would be released in DVD format. I would snatch it up. I loved Stevie then and now, but this concert was soooo good and this was always one of my favorite songs. It was never released on any of her solo work until her boxed set.
I've never seen this video, and let me tell you, I could watch Stevie dance and sing forever! She has such a huge aura that comletely surrounds her. What a magical, mystical, woman she is. She wanted to become famous so badly and it worked out for her. It shows in her lyrics and songs. She has dynamic energy that can captivate any audience. She's untterly amazing. I could never think of what all of us would have missed if she was not in our presence! You keep rockin' out Stevie!
I remember when this came out on VHS in 1981 and I fell in love! For people that remember, Stevie Nick's dad introduced her on stage right before this song. I wish I could find a better copy. (I think that's Roy Bitten on piano?)
Great song -- such an upbeat rock n' roll tune. Why didn't they whip this track into better shape in the studio and include it on Bella Donna? It could have been a hit.
Can anyone help me get a copy of this beautiful concert? My mom has limited days and it would mean a lot to her and i. I watched with her on hbo wen i was about 10 years old .
the band sounds like Tom Petty's and Springsteen's because some of their players were playing for her during this tour....guy on keys is from TP's band and I think the other is from E Street Band...small world...
This is such a great concert...unfortunately my VHS copy is about worn out from watching it so many times since I was 12 and got it for Christmas! haha
What a fun, upbeat song. Wish it could have been a hit single for Stevie. The band sounds like Tom Petty's band or Springsteen's band, kind of. I love it.
I'm only 24 but the way Stevie Nicks turns poetry into lyrics and the soul she puts into her performances is astounding, She alone makes me wish I was old enough to see her in her prime live,
Absolutely! (i'm 24 too) I also appreciate the fact that she never had to sacrifice her femininity to do what she loves. It amazes me that such a tiny lady has so much power & presence on stage... she's one of a kind.
No flaming excrement, sherlock. That bit about the dance being a homage to Riverdance was a merely joke on my part... an ill-conceived one, apparently. Ahem.
It's a shame only Edge Of Seventeen and Gold And Braid were offically released from this show (on Enchanted). I'd love a live record of this, or the Melbourne '06 concert.
I had such a huge crush on her when I was kid. I did get over her eventually, but I never even saw any of these videos back then. Thanks to Youtube, once again I'm crying myself to sleep at night, because I still can't have her.
I love this song because its upbeat, which i think is rare for stevie. Most of her songs are on the sad note(i lov 2), which seems a bit strange w/ her cocaine usage.Yeah ok,please don't jump on me for saying the "c" word, because I dont think u can seperate a persons virtues and faults, they are intertwined and we wouldnt know one w/o the other, right?
Take note young wannabes, no one will ever match up to this type of female proformance. Stevie at her earliest and her best. And the poet became the legand.
Lord I know---Isnt sheadorable here---Everyone is just Feelin this--

Can't believe this was an outtake from Bella Donna... it could have been a hit single. What a fun rockin' song and she looks great doing those high kicks!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that outfit she has on. She is sooo cute in the whole Stevie Nicks In Concert video. I never new this song before You Tube.
