  • I was at this show. It was at the Wilshire Theater in Beverly Hills, CA. It was the most unbelievable show I ever saw. This was the first time I heard this song and I couldn't get it out of my head for weeks. ;-)

  • I think that's Roy Bittan, Springsteen's longtime keyboard man, playing piano.

  • @Bignoise60 Yes it is!

  • Yes, it is Roy Bittan on piano and Benmont Tench from the Heartbreakers on organ. Great band!

  • Truly amazing - the best Stevie song ever - and there are so many to choose from. I love her!!

  • i'm a 50 yr old women that was blessed to witness many of her concert w/Fwood & solo simply amazing woman1

  • Great song but there's only sound coming out of 1 speaker. This version is exactly the 1 that I've heard on the radio in 1984. I recorded the entire concert and this song got cut because I had to flip the tape over. I think this show was released on video disk. It's hard to find and U need a video disk player.

  • I remember this concert very well. I believe HBO aired this concert on their network in 1983. I watched it every time it came on and even recorded it to a VHS tape which is long since been lost. I really wish it would be released in DVD format. I would snatch it up. I loved Stevie then and now, but this concert was soooo good and this was always one of my favorite songs. It was never released on any of her solo work until her boxed set.

  • I've never seen this video, and let me tell you, I could watch Stevie dance and sing forever! She has such a huge aura that comletely surrounds her. What a magical, mystical, woman she is. She wanted to become famous so badly and it worked out for her. It shows in her lyrics and songs. She has dynamic energy that can captivate any audience. She's untterly amazing. I could never think of what all of us would have missed if she was not in our presence! You keep rockin' out Stevie!

  • Look at her go!!! STEVIE ROCKS!!!

  • Loved hearing Stevie perform this!! Thanks for sharing!!!

  • Time for the gold and braid dance...

  • Simply put...she was brilliant. Unequalled then and now.

  • I remember when this came out on VHS in 1981 and I fell in love! For people that remember, Stevie Nick's dad introduced her on stage right before this song. I wish I could find a better copy. (I think that's Roy Bitten on piano?)

  • @antgatsr That is indeed Professor Roy Bittan from the one and only E Street band.

  • These eyes never did not love you. I did not run from you. In a "dream" I said to you that I'll always love you.

  • throw that tambourine, girl!!!

  • The Bella Donna tour was cut short after like 10 dates, due to her friend Robin being terminally ill.. At least thats how I remember it..

  • What a vision of beauty!!!

  • Great song -- such an upbeat rock n' roll tune. Why didn't they whip this track into better shape in the studio and include it on Bella Donna? It could have been a hit.

  • @beijoso i agree this song not on any studio albulm sharpegang1

  • one of my favorites of hers!

  • Hail to the QUEEN !

  • Now if they would just release the whole concert, I could die a happy man. ;)

  • @sln526 I have it on VHS. I WISH they'd put it on dvd!!!!

  • I MISS THE 80Z.... ive done my best dragging then into this millenium though

  • Somewhere I thought I heard that this song is about her Grandfather's encouragement for her to become a star???????

  • Yes I did thank you badfish1111

  • There's a copy on ebay, item # 120479193220. Hope you are able to get it for your mother.

    I think not.

God, I love her. Truly, madly, deeply!

  • Thisis absolute Magic...this performance is ..like Awesome

  • the band sounds like Tom Petty's and Springsteen's because some of their players were playing for her during this tour....guy on keys is from TP's band and I think the other is from E Street Band...small world...

  • Correct, Benmont Tench on Organ, Roy Bittan on Piano

  • russ kunkle on drums and waddy watchel on lead

  • Love this clip. Another good one from a great concert video. Stevie is so awesome in this concert.

  • cant we get stereo out this fiber optic world?

  • What a fun, upbeat song. Wish it could have been a hit single for Stevie. The band sounds like Tom Petty's band or Springsteen's band, kind of. I love it.

  • Go Waddy, & Roy!!!!

  • i LOVE that concert!!!!! Stevie's so rocking!!! And she looks so great!!! And this song is my absolutely fav!!

Stevie is on FIRE in this...the Rock & Roll Gypsy at her FINEST...

  • Isn't this song about how her grandfather encouraged her to become a rock 'n roll star?

  • very good song i like any thing by stevie knicks and fleetwood mac

  • i just love this song! thanks!

  • I'm only 24 but the way Stevie Nicks turns poetry into lyrics and the soul she puts into her performances is astounding, She alone makes me wish I was old enough to see her in her prime live,

  • Absolutely! (i'm 24 too) I also appreciate the fact that she never had to sacrifice her femininity to do what she loves. It amazes me that such a tiny lady has so much power & presence on stage... she's one of a kind.

  • hummingbird body style for sure.....tiny but powerhgouse presence an vocal

  • @rmlacy8423 I think Stevie is better than ever now!

  • this the best of ms. nicks EVER! kat

  • I apologize for the double-post. Ahem.

  • I love the homage to Riverdance at 4:51 - 4:53Haha. I love to watch the stunning Stevie dance.

  • no to riverdance! fucker! that was a "stevie dance"!

  • No flaming excrement, sherlock. That bit about the dance being a homage to Riverdance was a merely joke on my part... an ill-conceived one, apparently. Ahem.

  • I love the homage to Riverdance at 4:51 - 4:53. Haha. I love to watch the stunning Stevie dance.

  • Great song. I love Stevie. She's my absolute favorite female singer/songwriter of all time.

  • you are soooooooooo right!

  • Stevie at her most beautiful..she hasn't changed all that much..Go Stevie!

  • all the musicians in her band here were phenomenal! just awsome, Stevie in her prime!

  • thank you!!!! this is the very best version of this great song. The one on Enchanted doesn't compare! thanks for sharing...

  • It's the same version as Enchanted, just a slightly different mix.

  • It's a shame only Edge Of Seventeen and Gold And Braid were offically released from this show (on Enchanted). I'd love a live record of this, or the Melbourne '06 concert.

  • I had such a huge crush on her when I was kid. I did get over her eventually, but I never even saw any of these videos back then. Thanks to Youtube, once again I'm crying myself to sleep at night, because I still can't have her.

  • I love this song because its upbeat, which i think is rare for stevie. Most of her songs are on the sad note(i lov 2), which seems a bit strange w/ her cocaine usage.Yeah ok,please don't jump on me for saying the "c" word, because I dont think u can seperate a persons virtues and faults, they are intertwined and we wouldnt know one w/o the other, right?

  • is that geddy lee from rush on guitar?? lol

  • no not geddy. so whose on coke now?! duh!

  • sara from this night is simply amazing

  • puts ashlee simpsons jig to complete and utter shame

    WOOT

  • This is her best performance by far. vhs hbo

  • Yet another fantastic song by the Queen of Rock n' Roll!

  • Take note young wannabes, no one will ever match up to this type of female proformance. Stevie at her earliest and her best. And the poet became the legand.

  • Tell it TRUE_______Heck Yes!!

  • you are sooooooooooo right!

  • never read that about Waddy...

    WOW!!!Powerful--all the Musicians here--just

Fire comin off them---Feelin it--High Kicks an all

  • I love the giant tambo, reminds me of that SNL sketch with Will Ferrel that answers this ridicuosly huge cell. Gotta love the Eighties!

  • She's so "classy sexy" -- when she sticks her rump out at 3:15 it's hotter than any half dressed female performer these days!

  • @ 3.15 I would have liked to have been Russ (drummer) LOL

  • O M G where are the VMA's what a classy talented songstress Celeb, who doesnt flash her cooch

    Bravo

  • omg what a wonderful song, just goes to show you what a truly gifted songwriter she is. WOW what a fantastic song, why this didn't show up up on an album is beyond me!

  • from which album is this???

  • This song was supposed to be on Bella Donna, but was cut. Stevie like the song so much and it transformed live so well, that she performed it on her first solo tour. She also performed it on a few Wild Heart stops and Enchanted tour. It is one of her best and needs to be done live.

  • Yeah it's a great song!

    Thanks for the ifno ;)

  • I like how this song starts, with the intense guitar chord playing over and over.

  • BEST. KICKS. EVER!

  • So, I watched this performance again. Man, this is a kick ass performance by all on the stage. Waddy Wachtel is tremendous! Looks like everybody really got into the spirit of this song.

  • Thank you KdLP ;-)

  • I've always liked this performance. It's a great song. Awesome stage presence. Animated tambourine dancing. She really seems to be having fun up there on stage, and her outfit is cool as shit.

  • I didn't know this song nor this video... Thank you very much to put it on Youtube.

  • I love this concert ~ i have the vhs tape... besides the mirage tour video, this is my favorite!

good, but not as good as "mirage"

  • tho they got the rights to Alien

  • Thanks for another great video.

    Very cool.

    Iz.

  • what a happy happy song, this concert was the best thing HBO did in the 80's

  • Always has great songwriting and usuually voice is spectacular. In this concert she also looked so fine. Captivated my teen years in 80s. Also, piano player is Roy Bittain from the E STreet Band.

  • I love this song; it is so fun and cool. Stevie is the Queen of Rock!!!

  • Stevie at one of several peaks in her solo career. Here she is at the height of her performance power in perfect voice and form! An angel.

  • she is the coolest chick ever.... Rock On Girl!

  • The concert, from the Bella Donna tour was taped in L.A. and a condensed version was broadcast as an HBO special and then sold as a VHS videotape. Would be nice to see whole concert. Recording exists on Enchanted boxed set but think it is the same audio as this.

  • Lets not forget Russ on the drums! Terrific studio drummer!

  • Roy is an fantastic piano player! go E street band!

  • this is a great ol' song, great memories from the '80s.

waddy is a brill guitarist, really unique style. x

"easy come the tears, she slipped towards the doorway, been waiting there all day, all these years"........ xxx

  • Why don't they release this concert on DVD? They need to because Stevie is so beautiful and awesome in this concert, as she is in all of her concerts. Stevie Rocks!!

  • Release the concert on DVD ???? .... where do you think I got this video from!

  • Some people have it taped from the HBO special.

  • HBO Special ??? whats that ....

This video is from "Stevie Nicks: Live in Concert" (CBS FOX 713650) google nicksfix and check the Video List

  • I don't know, someone else said that this was from an HBO special. I know what video this is from now though. Sorry for the confusion.

  • Is this the performance that is n Enchanted? Its a great performance I love it i love her soo much:)

  • Yes this is the same one you hear on enchanted set... She really seems to love this song to have included it in all her concerts and that box set I wonder why it was never on Bella Donna
