Man..... you still have it??? that is beautiful, wish i still had my DB Viper - also a Formula One .... had two of those.. cracked the first one then finally two ELF frame/fork ... gave those away for virtually nothing after high school in 89' Racing was my life !!
I ride my Hutch Pro Racer everyday to work and back. Everyone laughs because I ride a 20" BMX, everyone always ask why I don't get a mountain bike. I love the damn thing and have too much fun on it. I decided to weigh it today, 21.8lbs with the handlebar pad on it.
I just posted a vid; my first as a matter of fact. Flatland on a chrome 1984 Hutch Trickstar frame (kore forx). For my fellow Hutch lovers. Just click my name to view, laters.
It was the weirdest thing. After racing on a Huffy for about six months I was lucky enough to get a HutcH Pro Racer for Christmas and went on to earn 76 trophies in my time. Greatest race bike of its time...then I sold it the the kid next door and he had it stolen out of his garage 2 weeks later! Price: $90.00. Man, To this day I wish I had never sold it...It even had Hutch pedals. :(
still have my HUTCH Pro Racer with all its original parts. its a lil beat up looking. the very first of the USA HUTCH bikes no serial number, hutch bars and forks. UNI seat and the very first Shimano Platforms the month they came out and to this day those pedals spin like crazy
Isnt that the awlays the case??? Boy finds "Hutch trickstar"....meets girl. forgets about Hutch. Boy grows up has cool car, motorcycle, snowmobile. etc.. meets wife! get a minivan! man ill tell ya we get no breaks at all...lol
Damn, this brings back some awesome memories... I rode so many bikes in my BMX career {14 novice through 16 expert), but my favorites were my HUTCH Pro Series and my pink Mike "Hollywood" Miranda Pro Series. Both of which were fully equipped with all HUTCH parts. Those were the best days (racing BMX in '84-'86) of my life, and I would give almost anything to do it all again!
Thanks for the awesome trip down memory lane, gents!
HUTCH, the best bikes ever. My father bought me a Pro Star back in 1985 for 12000 Francs that I have raced in France then later to the caribbean (Martinique). I kept the bike until 2006. I had it entirely re-chromed and sold it in parts on eBay. Feather light and never broke a part. Sadly it was not equipped with the Hutch cranks as too little went in production and had the Redline 401. Up to now I can still feel the holes in my tibia (sorry don't know in English) when the beartrap clawed me!
are there any relevance with the new hutch bikes?

I, to this day, still have a 3 inch scare on my right shin from Hutch pedals that I got when I was 15 years old...and I'm 40 now!

Bro, both of my shins are "bear trap" scarred! I even managed to sink those damn teeth into my shins through my JT leathers!
