  • theres no yellowfin in the yarra

  • Hello

just wondrin hat the xact location if this fishing is as im planing to do some bream fishing in the yarra meself

    thanks

  • In Shark Bay (WA) you get yellowfin on the shore.. this is salt water.. spin a soft plastic on the beach through rocks, in water no deeper than 40cm and you'll get big ones, but the little pink snapper are a pain. Stand still for a minute, and the schools will brush past your legs. :D and if you move about, you can get dozens of 50cm+ flathead. crystal clear water, fish everywhere.

I don't think im ever leaving WA.

The estuary is so full of pink snapper, drop bare hooks in they'll take it.

  • Xelon6k i used 2 b like you i couldnt catch fuck all in melbourne its not meant to be a personal attack but maybe your not doing the right shit i mean weve recently caught 6 kilo snapper off local piers you need to read books about fishing get the right tackle and target specific fish at the right time of the day and month

  • you have one point yes you can catch stuff but compared to other estuaries in Victoria, Port Philip Bay and Western Port are crap. They are not healthy and are overfished, in that i mean you should be able to at least catch tilddlers, i find at Port Philip and Western Port jetty fishing is horrendous.

Im a massive fisherman, i love it, but when it comes to fishing i usually cant be bothered in Melbourne and i wait till I go to Gippsland

    Much healthier systems down there..

  • love catchin fish, but melbourne is the worst fishing ever, i mean its just horrible, the last 4-5 times ive gone fishing i have not cought anything, its just rediculous, my dad cought a fked up lookin crustation and a flat head on 2 of the ocasion... and 1 banjo shark, and i caught a crustation lookin thing with a gold ball attatched to it ? :)

  • at 00:10 thats where they found that wrapped up body my cousin went for a walk past that place the night before the body was discovered

  • Yeah I know its scary! I saw the lady wrap up in the carpet or somthing with news cam and police everywhere. Lucky where I fish is no way near that side. The pic is just for show but thanks for reminding me. Give me the maps and I'll try it out. cheerz mate

  • you dont really need a map, just follow the river and you'll go right through warburton OR

    How to get there

Warburton is approximately 1.5 hours from Melbourne. Travel north-east along the Eastern Freeway, then the Maroondah Highway and turn right at Lilydale onto the Warburton Highway.

  • why are the fish contaminated in that river?looks like you had a great time mate.

  • Because of the near by factorys and lots of dirty rubbish I think. Signs have been put up saying not to eat more then 1-2 fish per week. I love catching fish in the yarra because its so near as well as easy too. I personaly wouldn't reccommend eating any fish because of the surrounding pollutions pouring into the river when it rains.

    Tight lines!

  • mate come up to the yarra valley to warburton we got good FRESH fish rainbow trout, brown trout, black fish and fresh water cray's and yabbies the water gets real polluted when it passes lillydale

  • yeah yarra valley way to go. live there :)

  • Be warned, if you like mercurry, isocynyde peroxide, lead, PCP and phenol chlorides, THEN EAT THE FISH!

That is if all the biohazards don' eat your guts out first!

    Thanks EPA Victoria.

  • Thanks but no thanks. I don't eat fishs because I dont like to.What I catch they all go back to where they belong.

    Thanks EPA Victoria.

  • wat bait u uese, and wat rig? cheers matii

  • Hi dude

If you want to catch only Bream then I recommend you using Bread as bait and berly. It seems to work Best in around here. My simplest rig is a slit shot sinker on a 2/0 hook. They start to feed just before sunset so Good Luck!

  • Hey ! I think you need lessons in the usage of English ! Or were you ripped at the time ? Glad to know you don't sacrifice your guts in eating those fish.

  • well played mate, very good video do you catch brem all year round at this spot?... i go around down near the docks which is realy good...what was your bate or do you youse spiners or soft plastics...

  • Yeah they come and go but as long as you berley 1hr before you'll get a fish for sure here. No I don't use any type of spinners I just go for the cheap dough which works very well.

I heard docks is quiet at the moment?

    Cheerz. =)
