the producers should bring back the classic cybermen so they and the brand x cybermen could duke it out in a sort of race war. the fighting could get so bad and desperate that it would attract the attention of other parties like the shadow proclamation. plus the winning faction would probably use tactic so horrible that the doctor would probably wind up helping out the losing side

When the new series introduced the cybermen didn't the Doctor say something about knowing that someday someone would recreate the cybermen, implying that the original were wiped out at some point.

@ZoneFighter1 As I recall all he said regarding the Mondasian Cybermen was that and I Quote: "There are Cybermen in our universe". Note "there are" not "there were" so to date there's no evidence that the Mondasians are gone. It's also widely speculated that the Cybermen Rory squared up to in A God Man Goes to War were Mondasians.

I don't understand why the current series always seems to use the Cybus Cybermen, the "Mondasian" Cybermen were never fully destroyed, unlike the Cybusmen who are always completely annihilated yet irritatingly always find new and increasingly unlikely was of surviving. Why can't they bring them back. I thought that the Cyberman in Vann-Stadten's museum was something of a hint, plus Tennant's use of the present "There ARE Cybermen in our universe" in Rise of the Cybermen... Come on Stephen...

They are BOTH the SAME Cybermen. Lumic must have got the design of his Cybermen from from the remains of Mondas Cybermen left on Earth from the story "The Invasion." In "Rise Of The Cybermen" Cybus owned "International Electromatics" (Cybermens' allies in The Invasion) and were using their lorries to collect homeless people to convert into Cybermen. Lumic's plan to control the population with mind control devices was EXACTLY the same plot as "The Invasion" so he must have found and copied!!

@dutchycooper apparently mondas cybermen will be in series 6. Not sure if its true though, but I saw a photo of the eleventh doctor holding something that looks like a cybermat. Not sure if its photoshopped though, so mondas cybermen could just be a rumor like apocalypse in 2012.

russle tried to start the newcybermen teh same kinda story as the first apearence as they were made on mondas which was a twin of earth and these cybermen were mad on a parrlel world so ots realy kind of the same idea
