@BodyPerformanceTV ...... I disagree... English is not my native language, and I learned English by myself so I may be wrong. I think that workout is complete set of activities that you do when you are doing for example your resistance training in a day. So, when you are doing chest, for example, that is a chest workout. Exercise is an element of workout, for example, bench press is one exercise and incline bench press is another exercise. Again, maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I got it.
thanks man lol .. I would always wonder how I could run for 25 min straight at a 7 mile per hour rate and not be out of breath .. I thought I was doing bad cardio and needed to hit it harder .. but when I when im doing it right .. thanks alot for the information
I need to say you are great.Your videos are very helpful and motivating! I think some people do not realize that this is your knowledge that you are passing on and they don't appreciate that somewhere else they would have to pay for professional tips and advice. I enjoy watching your videos and get a lot of helpful information that I need for my training. Some of the things I already knew but your videos 've refreshed my memory. Your answers 're always short, simple and cover everything. Thanks
Steve, I've talked about this on one of your other videos. Are you no longer reading the comments?
1) "Aerobics", in fitness parlance, means a state in which you are using oxygen to power muscular contractions. Simply because you have oxygen in your body does not mean you're "aerobic". If that were true, then it would be impossible to do "anaerobic exercise" since you're never anaerobic - you would ALWAYS be aerobic.
So when you're sitting there talking to me, you're anaerobic, NOT aerobic.
2) "Aerobics means using fat as a source of energy in the presence of oxygen" - you can burn glycogen or fat in the presence of oxygen, it doesn't matter. "Aerobic" refers to powering muscular contractions with oxygen, not what macro nutrient is involved.
3) When the body takes in enough oxygen, that is, is aerobic, its NORMAL source of fuel is not fat, but glycogen. Fat burning happens only after aerobics have been achieved with a 60% VO2 uptake or higher for almost an hour. When you walk, you burn fat. When you run, you burn blood sugar.
Come on, I've said this on other videos. You're making new vids without learning the new information.
4) "you have to run faster to train your cardiovascular level" <--- this is true, however, is that the goal? We were talking about burning fat. If this is the goal, you're better off with a brisk walk than a fast run.
5) You're giving seminars now? I guess you have to weigh whats important. You're better than a lot of personal trainers I've seen, I'll give you that, but I somehow doubt you have a Bachelors of Science in fitness, kinesiology, or biomechanics. Do you really think you're qualified? You actually do make quite a number of errors in your youtube videos.
I know something about aerodynamics, but I'd never consider giving a lecture on the subject to flight engineers. Imagine how many planes would crash. Now granted its hardly as dangerous to give wrong information to a fitness enthusiast, and no one's going to die from it, but its still something you should consider more carefully.
@KaseyAkira body fat is burned if your body uses more calories than it takes in(calories in/calories out). Therefore it is not relevant whether you use carbohydrates or fat as main fuel, it is important how much overall calories you burn. Aerobic exercise uses up bigger amounts of calories in the same amount of time, therefore it is superior if you want to lose body fat(which is what we actually mean when we talk about BURNING fat)
Why do you watch these videos and clutter up this comment bored if you are so "knowledgable"? I've got a bit of knowledge, but it's possible I might learn something here, so I listen and move on, not try to make an argument after browsing google.
I'm donating my time to teach people something, just as the person in the vid is doing, with the difference being my education and qualifications to teach this subject. Some people are grateful and write me with their questions, which I answer in full. Others cant seem to understand the concept of volunteering ones time for a good cause when its done on a comment board, but dont have a problem when its done in in a vid.
Don't you have a channel or something, can't you post your own vids? Or if not make a forum or something. You tend not to agree with this guy so this comment board isn't the appropriate place for your "insight".
Desperate, haha, poor choice of words. Yeah, I'm Steve... get of my channel... NOT! It's just annoying to filter through your crap to read the posts of interest. If I was Steve I could just block you... problem solved.
Steve, I live in Australia in an area that has easy access to gyms. But I am moving the outback and I would like your opinion on what I should/could do out there when there is very limited resources. I go running and do my sprints so I am really referring to weight training.
If you can carry a pair of adjustable dumbbells with you, with enough plates for them, you could get a LOT done that way.
To effectively hit your chest and legs though, you are going to need a bench and a rack of some sort. If you can find a way to improvise for these things, or if the place you're moving to has enough room for store bought ones, you could pretty much hit every major muscle group just as well as you could in a gym.
can you show us what exercises are the best. like how and what to do them. cus some of us are lazy or dont know where to find a fitness center, that we stay at home and we only buy our own fitness equipments. hoping for your video.
I have a problem, I was under the impression that if you run a mile you burn around 100 calories. Now if I walked that mile would I burn that same amount. I think you burn less. Can you help me?
i've recently moved from 13 % body fat to 10% body fat. I am still on my diet and my goal is to get down to 7%. On my diet i take in about 1600 calories a day. When i reach my goal of 7% body fat, im i going to need to keep my calorie intake that low to keep my body fat that low, or can i raise it?
For your knees, not cardio. From my experience, running and walking are both better than jogging, but that's just because the motion of jogging puts a lot of stress on your joints, just my experience.
Thank You For Yet Another Informing Video Man You Rule!!! If I could I wish I was your son Loll you taught me so much about health and I just wanted to say thank you for all the informational videos I will try to do a lot more cardio work out. thank you!!

So getting out of breath is like increasing the weight you lift.
After 6 months you might be able to lift 20KG more, just as after 6 months you may be able to run at a quicker pace for longer.
Makes sense.
