@reck101101 They don't have it all done at all. This film came out in theaters in '09 in Japan, if that's anything to go by. That, and the fact that they animate these previews before they even start the actual film.. So it'll be a while, still.

What about Shinjis screams when he was injured? And when the dymmy plug was activated and he asked his father what was happening? That was simply superb voice acting! Not to be mean or anything, but if these dubs was horrible, then i really wonders what it takes to please you two.

@valkyria20chronicles I don't think the dubs are horrible (although I don't know what the other guy thinks). Yes, the voice actors have talent and I would never be able to top them. However, when I watched Funimation's Evangelion 1.0 dub and then watched the original Japanese dub with subtitles, I found I preferred the subs. The dub just felt a little bit... empty to me. Everyone has their preferences, I suppose.

Hopefully things will go faster once they actually do start animating since Anno has already spent so much time ironing out the kinks of 3.0's story. Anno was still working on the story while they were animating 2.0, so we can hope that things will go more quickly this time once things get moving.

@onimotoko They animate the previews before they animate the movies. If you compare the 2.0 trailer at the end of 1.0 with the actual 2.0 movie, you'll see that they're slightly different. For example, the scene with Mari standing and looking at the cross explosions was different in the trailer and movie.

Basically, the previews just mark bullet points of what MAY happen throughout the plot. Nothing should be considered final.

0:10 While just a fan theory, it's worth noting the two armor pieces you can see on Eva-08's back in between her shoulder pylons. Two openings for entry plugs? Perhaps Eva-08 is duel-piloted?

Another theory is that Eva-08 is actually a reconfigured Eva-01. Notice how they say it's 'quickening'. At the end of 2.0, Shinji and Rei were absorbed into Eva-01, returning to the womb so to speak. Perhaps Eva-01, as Eva-08, will 'give birth' to Rei and/or Shinji at some point?

Again, just a theory.
