I feel the pain. I do this all the time... but I don't bother with vehicles. I just get the smallest vally in the path and fill it with road side bombs. But as I get to my watch spot, I always try to crouch to get out of sight. But I'm on PC and I always press the alternate trigger button trying to crouch. Boom. there goes all of my explosives. :'(

Best tactic for convoy missions is not a road block but make sure you have somthing to hide behind set up a crap load of sticky mines that you can detinate when ever they get ontop of them or use proxy however those blowup when not wanted and make sure you have a shoty & rocket launcher. Don't forget your getaway car!
