You give me cause to pause on the Baby Boomer generation and say well thre is one ho I know that is standing her ground and believeing that Viet Nam was wrong and can see the same happening in Afganistan and Iraq and the whole Middle east for that matter.
Keep going.... and many Baby Boomers should be ashamed watching their Grandchildren march off again.
FlopSide: thank you. I think us baby-boomers are pretty much divided amongst ourselves, and not everyone was the same. One should remember, that we are talking about an ENTIRE generation, composed of the peace-movement and warmonger alike. Although the term BABYBOOMERS is now being re-defined as something bad overall. It's all about labeling and branding...and utterly useless ;)
I just don't get it. People really thought that, the man would propose real change. Kissmyassenger took him under is dark shoulder way back. Zimbresky or whatever is name is, as a great part of that New American Century shit plan. Poor America.
if there is anyone left on the fence regarding the Obama administration by now, there is no hope for them. It would have been the same with McCain too. Both parties suck, to put it bluntly.
cv1122: yes, cv + I couldn't agree more! !! Just remember, that when shit hits the fan, right-wing popular resentment will be stirred up by the elites of BOTH parties. I can't wait for the stupid immigrant-bashing to start, in terms of immigration laws. Just remember, that the illegals are not the problem, it is the entities who employ them without any punishment whatsoever, so that THEY don't have to pay taxes, period. The elites in Mexico are the same as here: it's a race to the bottom.
I wonder if Obamas kids watch YouTube? Or his wife? I sometimes wonder how they, or his extended family react to certain things that they might hear about him.
Kaz : Yea. I will try to point out these contradictions out very specifically, in a future vid, maybe. Let's just say, that it was a cut-and-paste job, not only in terms of his speech, but in terms of policy as well. I guess the speech-writers haven't hit the unemployment rolls so far, nor has the Sec of Defense, Gates, a retainer from the Bush Regime. Not to mention Geithner + Bernanke. Meanwhile, Bill Kristol, the neo-con in chief, is PRAISING the troop surge. So much for 'change' heh?
Yep. It's all about the lobbyists money, not about morals, truth, or honesty. That no longer exists in the U.S. Money rules. Corruption rules. Fear and Hatred rule. And,,,,we have broken all the rules that we once were supposed to stand for. This country is lost.
I like Gerald Celentes political stand. He calls himself a political atheist, and I have decided to do the same. Somehow it corrects my personal situation and de-labels meat least until a real party stands up for human rights, and morals, by which decisions are made using these two fundamental pillars of human foundation. Empathy is indeed required if we are to call ourselves civilized human beings and progress as a species.
There is a aYouTube video ("9/12 Meeting--Misc vid") that may be of interest to you. It depicts (in my opinion) both what Noam Chomsky and Chris Hedges refer to as the ominous Weimar Republic tone of the present age.
This war in Afghan and the war in Iraq is all about natural resources and assuring control of a large segment of those resources by American Corp. In other words, it's all about money and Wall St once again.
I may be one of your only subscribers old enough to see your beauty..and generally I agree on Obama .. but you war position comes across as two party 60's in a time when all 2 pile paradigms are suspect..if not totally rejected.
I always love your vlogs...always so valid and delivered so level headed, not like some people I know that rant and rave and swear all the way through their vlogs ;)
though PNAC has been squashed to the size of a mailbox , their parent group American Enterprise Institute creates these talking points that many of the libertarians repeat on a daily basis which are totally false, but go unchallenged although MM recently squashed their talking point that the CRA caused the crisis.
both parties are owned by the corporations. I do vote democrat because they are the lesser of 2 evils. socialism is the only system that benefits people, and originally the original health care bill would have benefited a lot of people, but Mises, CATO, Milton Friedman, Ayn Rand, and all of the other Jewish organizations and people convinced the average layperson that less gov't is good. they blame the bailouts on too much gov't, when in REALITY, it was caused by DEREGULATION of regulations.
You're looking the wrong way. We haven't had anything but more government. Both parties increase and centralize power in our nation to their benefit. Regulations are created by the corporations to protect their monopoly. Bailouts, tax payer guarantees, laws that force us to do certain things etc, etc, are all absent in a free market. We have fascism, the merger of corporate and political power.
Reagan and Bush's expanded Gov. this is the result of that.
bailouts happened because of less gov't, but the bailouts themselves were more gov't. there is a cause and effect relationship.
regulations are created to protect monopolies? actually NO, again too simplistic. monopolies happen because ANTI-TRUST laws aren't enforced. there are companies that have received subsidies when they produced in the US, although lobbying groups have helped keep those subsidies alive. why do they receive them? because they produced in the USA.
"both parties are owned by the corporations." Yes they are and the health care lobby donated record amounts of money split evenly between the 2 parties. There was never going to be health reform. It was a circus for the people and has nothing to do with Mises or any other organization brainwashing anyone.
I thought it was a great idea. Sell Medicare at a slight profit, spread the risk pool out to include healthier people, and create some competition for insurance companies. The competition is why it got tossed out. Insurance lobby not about to let that happen.
We have agreed on almost everything. Certainly you remember that I was against Paul's free market nonsense but did not think he had a chance in hell of getting any legislation like that passed. It is not possible to go back to a gold or silver standard but if even 10% percent of the dollar was backed by metal our currency would rise dramatically against the Euro and the world would not be talking about dumping it as the reserve currency.
Do you recall the insults and grief you put on me because I would not vote for Obama? You made yourself look like an Obama worshiper. You were all freaked out about the votes in Florida in 2000. Texas is a republican state and my vote would not change anything. I told you that and you still harassed me. You are your own worst enemy. You either have a very bad memory or you deliberately misrepresent other peoples statements and wonder why no one likes you anymore.
"To wage war is to admit that you are too mean or too stupid to avoid it." I love it.
And the lessons learned from Vietnam, don't draft and don't show the dead and dying on TV, I would add to that as well, keep cutting taxes and don't ask people to tighten their belts. Just make them do it through financial crises and job losses that aren't directly blamed on the military industrial complex.
Excellent vlog, too bad you had to put Tiger Woods's name on it
that is what is going on both on tv and here on the net, i got so many videos removed here for supposed gratuitous violence, when all i was doing was showing palestinians being beaten.
The Obama can do no wrong people are ten times worse than the Bush's can do no wrong people. They were all for bringing troops home.. and now they are quick to give the same advice they hated hearing when Bush was in office..
Hes the president follow him.
I just wish people would get over the left right illusion.
4:37 too mean or too stupid... like shaking a baby. it defies belief, can anyone really be that mean or that stupid?

we haven't learned, or remembered, but 'they' did.
how to manage the masses via MSM, social programming, dumbing down, squelching dissentin, selling a generation that didn't go to war,
(my son's), and selling the adventure and romance
of the 60's and war. it took one generation to forget and be led like lambs.
