I second the guy below me. I have actually used pretty much everything on this list competitively with some success in OU (and Dream World OU in battle simulators) with the exception of Delibird. However, competitive battling isn't all there is to pokemon, and while I really find it irritating that some pokemon have shit stats, the stats themselves don't really dictate how good a pokemon is overall.

and farfetchd isnt pointless.. go look up its origins, and the method of obtaining it originally

@Shadethedrawer1 In third gen it can learn body slam by move tutor. Combine that with either rock slide or headbutt and it's ability serene grace, you can para flinch them all the time. Transfer it to 4th gen and you get teach it roost to heal it up. It's not that bad of a pokemon, just a bit misguided.

In gen5 you should see audino it haz this move called heal pulse and it heals your opponent WTF!?!!? that's even worse the delibird even tho you can get alot of experience points by killing audino but still audino sucks ass

@googledude202 actually that move seems like it'd be useful for two vs two battles. Instead of wasting a healing item, you could just use that move on your pokemon. Granted that only works if you can still target your own pokemon.

@googledude202 Audino is actually pretty damn good. It's more of a supporting wall than a attacker. It's got 103 total base stat for HP and 86 total for both Defense and Special Defense making it really hard to take down. It has decent level up moves all of them which have same type attack bonus and it can also learn a large array of Tms. Heal pulse can be used on your own team in Double and Triple battles aswell and has two great abilities. Healer and Regenerator. Audino won't disappoint you.

It looks unique but what good is it if it's far outclassed by many flying types in Gen IV, learns very little moves on it's own (Half that don't complement it's Special attack), Cannot be taught very many TMs and it's base stat of a measely 411? I rest my case. Chatot is useless.

@MarshiMYG64 seriously? Those stats are horrible. Pokemon like Blissey are how the support character is SUPPOSED to be done. 103 base HP is good but 86 is barely above is not that strong. A strong fighting move will bring it down quick.

For a Gen 5 pokemon, it's valuable to train up so you can use it as a wall so if your best pokemon go down, Audino will take enough hits to get your pokemon back into the game. But yeah Audino is probably useless in competitive battling but I never battle competitively. I suck at it.

@MarshiMYG64 it can't be a wall. It's defenses are pitiful to be a wall. ANY good hit fighting or not is going to take it out in 1 or 2 hits. A good wall is something like Ferrothorn. Very high defenses and a good attack stat to back it up. Audino has barely above average defenses and garbage attack stats and HP. It's worthless for more than 1 or 2 turns.

@gamingeagle19 Why would you want to attack with Audino? I know it's Attack stats are abyssmal but i know that it is hard to take down because I tested that Audino does not go down in 1 or 2 hits. I used a Level 20 Gyarados (Docile natured so no buffed or debuffed stat) against a level 26 Audino using Bite. It would have took forever for that Audino to go down and Gyarados are known for their Attack power.

@gamingeagle19 Audino has base stats of 85 in both Defense and Special Defense. That's not terrible. For comparison, while Blissey has a SpD stat of 135, its Defense is only 10. Snorlax has 110 in SpD and 65 in Defense. And Ferrothorn, while having massive defenses, has mediocre HP and a quadruple weakness. Audino is clearly meant to be a mixed wall.

@paceetrate you can't have a wall with less than a 100 defenses and HP. It just doesn't work. And yes Blissey has horrible defenses but it has an ungodly amount of HP so it works out well. trust me. Hit it with a physical attack and it still won't lose that much HP. Same with Snorlax. None of Audino's stat's are all that great.

@gamingeagle19 Close Combat can two shot a Blissey, HP be damned. Hit Ferrothorn with a good fire attack and it's a OHKO. Everything has something that can take it down in one or two hits, it's called balance. You wouldn't use Blissey to wall a fighting type, so it's ridiculous when you say Audino is terrible because it couldn't take a physical fighting type attack either. Audino sacrifices being amazing at SpD by having better defense. It's Gen 5's slightly bulkier Clefable.

But just having the move itself doesn't warrant a pokemon of being terrible, when other pokemon can learn it as well, such as Blissey. Audino has bad stats, and may have a spot on this list, but it's rather creative and has SOME charm.
