@LoveshackProductions SEC fans have nothing else to mention but the buckeyes, yall say nothin bout Penn state who def LSU, or Michigan who def florida. what u got to say now??
@LoveshackProductions Let's see how Florida would do in Columbus or Madison or Happy Valley in December or January, when it's down to single digit temps with negative degree wind chills. Florida beat OSU in a DOME. Try outdoors in a winter climate. Until then, stay down south with the rest of the hillbillies and the rednecks. Up here, we laugh every time someone from down south complains how cold it is when it gets to 40 or below. Idiot.

ohio state is the most overrated team in college football, all the big ten does is eat eachother alive any big 12 or sec team could take them and man handle them
You might want to look at tOSU's record vs. the Big-12. Here's a hint: We own that conference. They are a joke. Only two teams in that conference play defense. It's like watching pee wee football. Even Northwestern almost beat Big-12 North champs Mizzou.
Don't make comments about things you know nothing about (i.e. where Tressel recruits), don't engage in hyperbole (you'll probably need to look that one up), and learn the difference between "your" and
"you're", and maybe then people will take you seriously. Otherwise, you just sound like some ignorant teenager posting lame smack on the Internet.

Trojan fan here, good luck in LA. Hopefully USC can get a shot at the dominant SEC, we are 4-0 this decade against the best. So I'd say a National Championship with USC vs Florida or Georgia would be much better television than OSU. I know its hard to imagine outside of Ohio, but thats what the VAST majority of college ball fans want.
Who cares what the fans want? That doesn't matter. It comes down to who the best two teams are. I suggest you worry about winning the game this weekend before you start looking ahead to the title game.
Oh, wow, the national championship matchup is determined by who the fans most want to see? Wow, I'd never heard that before! And here all this time I thought it was supposed to be a matchup between the two best teams. How silly of me!
...Hopefully the sarcasm there is thick enough for your slow Trojan brain to discern.
Thank you for the sarcasm, however what the fans want is the clear number one and number two for the BCS championship, and that doesn't include Ohio State with its weak bowl play against the SEC and mediocre schedule and conference. Sorry but OSU losing national respect from fandom and ESPN has to hurt a little. In '05 the nation knew Texas and USC deserved to be there, good luck ever getting that type of acknowledgement for OSU again. Sorry but your team and conf. is dying.
when your team, or any other team, stops losing to 41 point underdogs at home, then perhaps you can rightfully complain about not making it to the championship. wv lost to lowly pitt. usc lost to lowly stanford. (ohio state has lost 5 games in three years. 3 of those were to that years national champion, one to 11-1 penn state and one to rose bowl bound illinois... so what if you killed illinois the same year... osu didn't lose to a 41 pt dog at home)
Sure we blow it every once and awhile, contrary to what your coach thinks, we aren't perfect. We lose to teams we shouldn't due to our pride. Now when it comes to playing up to competition like say the SEC, who we are 5-0 against this decade and you are 0-9 bowl or regular games, your not really respected by the powerhouses. Whom do you think the nation wants to see more in a NC? USC vs SEC or SEC vs OSU? Youv'e had two shots, time to get a real game on.
Excuse me, your right its only at bowl games to determine how good your program against the SEC your 0-9. It must hurt OSU fans to know that the rest of the country thinks your program against real competition is a joke. Tressel should do himself a favor and start recruiting the south and California and not the rust belt. FIGHT ON TROJANS and lets bring on the SEC!
Did you just criticize the Big 10 for being a mediocre conference? If the Big 10 is mediocre, what does that make the Pac 10? The Big 10 is already superior to the Pac 10. If you took USC out of the Pac 10, the Big Ten would be FAR SUPERIOR to the Pac 10. The Pac 10 is weak. USC was the ONLY team in the Pac 10 in the top 25 for a VERY LONG period of time. I have NEVER EVER EVER seen less than 3 Big 10 teams in the top 25. EVER. Arizona, Arizona State, Stanford, UCLA, Washington teams-all weak!!!
Oregon, one of the best Pac 10 teams, barely beat Purdue who is probably the worst Big 10 team (they had to come from 21 points behind to do it I think). Oregon State got killed by 5 touchdowns by a Big 10 team. Cal is pretty weak. Most college football experts say USC should contend for a national championship every year but they are hurt by playing in such a weak conference. Lets face it--as much heat as the Big 10 has taken, it is still the 3rd best conference (behind the SEC and Big 12).
Wow, I've never read such self deluded drivel as I have today with your postings. Big 11 the third best conference?!? Post that on an ESPN chat board and see what your responses are please. Hell I'd say the Mountain West is putting out better teams than the Big 11. Granted the Pac is down this year, but it fluxuates on and off every decade. Big 11 however is just in a steady dive with little national respect, even from your apologist Herb Kirkstreet. Sorry, but football is meant for the south.
@alternapop Not to mention the Big ten has beat the SEC in more bowl games. didnt wisonsin beat miami this year? Ohio State beat oregon. Iowa stomped georgia tech, and ...oh yeah Penn State. manhandled lsu. sounds like the SEC is overated. hell after those wins id say the big ten is the best conference in college ball!
Person missed a block and Cordle got blew up, but the problem is the play itself. The defender who made initial contact with Maurice Wells was unblocked off the edge. No doubt if Chris Wells were in there, it would have been a first down.
Dear Jim Cordle, The reason you are on the field is to BLOCK for your backfield so they can eventually get in to the endzone. Thanks for all your effort on this 4 and 1 against Ohio University. Hope you can find it in your heart to fire off the ball a little harder against the trojans Saturday night in California. Because if you don't there are so many guys on that team that can replace you in one second including a tremendous freshmen class.
It's 4th and 1. You have a QB the size of a linebacker who would get the yard even if he just fell forward, yet you call a slow developing, deep hand-off to a smallish back-up RB who has never shown the ability to run through anybody, when your line hasn't been moving anyone all day, knowing full well that given the personnel and formation you're showing in that situation, that's exactly your tendency and everyone in the stadium or watching on TV is expecting it. Nice.
Wow! I'm dazzled by your "big picture thinking". Silly me. I thought the point was to get the freaking first down and not still be struggling with a mid-level MAC team going into the 4th quarter at home, but I guess I was wrong. It was all just a clever ruse to fool Pete Carroll. One would think that running the same play out of the same set for the last several years would have been enough to amply establish the tendency, but apparently not. Thanks for the incredible insight. We're not worthy.
Dude, there are upsets every year in college football, even though this wasn't an upset it was too close for comfort, games like this are close because it's how two different teams sync up with each other and their different play styles, and player & coaching decisions, the team my have the ability to dominate or keep it closer (speaking like USC), but it's the decisions they make right or wrong, in this game, there were a lot of bad decisions by Ohio State.
Pyror is not the answer this year. As for Mo Wells you he should not have been in on 4th and 1. Might as well just QB sneak that one if you are going to have Mo in there.
