@3eneboy application: you can use this tech for more than just the position property. one such is rotation, make your object spin, slow down, then hold spin for a few secs, then spin in a different direction. something like that. if you don't it, then it will immediately spin back in the opposite direction.

in short: if you want to stop something for a period of time. then continue movement later. use hold.

How do I do so that I hold a object at a certain key frame until a ceratain point in the video, then makes it move along a line. for example, I want to hold something at 2sec and keeping it there up untill 5sec and when at 5sec I want it to start moving.

I don't think the rove function is for removing the easing but for allowing the MIDDLE keyframes to stay RELATIVE to each other as the outer keyframes are moved forward or backward in time or to allow moving one keyframe and the other follows a bit. So, your animation can be shortened or lengthened w/o having to manually slide each keyframe. Just set to roving and then move the last keyframe and it will, in essence, stretch the entire animation across time. I think. :)
