@delmo369 im really glad i didnt buy the version 2 and saved 400 dollars(which is a high end aeg in itself just with the savings) and btw the BARREL DOES NOT MOVE WHEN SHOT!!! ITS BULLSHIT!!!!! it moves when u bump it or some shit. version 1's are discont. but if u can find one take it for 850 in a heartbeat. 400 dollar difference is not worth a monpod and a recoil barrel. and it only took me 2 months working and extra 3 hours a day to get it, but my job is as fun as shit so it didnt matter

Alright, for one we can't shoot our friends with a "real weopon" Because that my friend would be homicide. It's called a free-floating barrel. And yes, it GREATLY decreases recoil in terms of real firearms, especially one that generates so much like the real Barrett M82A1, A2, or the M107.

i thought a free floating barrel was that the barrel was only atached to the reciever and nothig else to improve accuracy over a period of time

It is, and it doesn't touch the end of the barrel. It may improve accuracy because it doesn't desturb the barrel by producing friction, but it reduces recoil because a portion of the recoil is pushed into the barrel rather than the entire frame of the weapon. This push makes the barrel move downward and then upward into the original position. Great reviews by the way, I watched all 3 right in a row. 5/5

@AirsoftManJohn Most bolt action sniper rifles have a free floated barrel and yes it increases accuracy! But it helps nothing with recoil!

@xxxScoutSniperxxx Free floating barrels are used only for accuracy porpoises( the less the barrel touches the more consistent the shots). However, the real M82, M107 etc has a recoiling barrel and a straight stock design similar to a M16 which reduces recoil.
