  • yea you may be able to give the HCCA's 13000 watts on a tone burst.... but those 2 6500's aren't producing 13000 watts that your using!! even if you are rocking 16volts. I run 2 SS 10k's and barely get 13,000, let alone 20,000 watts max. Even when I do get 6500 watts an amp out of 8k @16volts the SS's hate it. Let alone it's smaller brother do more than that. 13000 watts is a Good eye catcher for views though.

  • im gonna get a 32 ford what can you do to that?

  • I got your 4 inches of excursion right here big boi ;)

  • ur all gay i had a sony 10 pushin 3200watts i never blew it

  • @tsampsel1 No you wern't... As I said i another comment, your amp will only EVER push out 3200 watts when you turn it all the way up... The volume control is like a watt control... Your shitty Sony fuckwoofers would NOT EVER take 3200 watts... Be realistic...

  • That is crazy man... i was blown away..

  • how loud are they like how much blocks can you hear it from

  • i got your 4 inches of excursion right here ;D

  • Hey bro sorry if this is a stupid question but how much are the 10.2's? and do you have any idea where i can find 1 in so cal? thanks

  • LMAO at him saying "4 inches of excursion.... I smell bullshit

  • @VVillyVVonka You should really read up on your audio equipment. Granted he may not have peaked the excursion and got the full 4 inches but the Orion hcca is capable of it. So you may smell bs but is only you talking $hit.

  • love the lauph at 0:22

  • i would like to have 5 of the big speakers For my mini :P

  • Did you know why you see those woofers visualy moving slowly?

    - Because of the stroboscope phenomenon ..interacting with woofer & cam frequencies...

But can you believe that possible to create that effect with naked eyes?

    ..and even MORE.. - evjlight.com

  • how big is that box in cu ft, like what is reccomended size box for these in cubic foot thanks

  • lol 13,000 watts

  • Idk if you still comment on here or not but I might pick up one of these over my DC lvl 4 xl because i got too big of an amp. If you know Addictive Audio 500.1 the amp does about 5k@ 12v and almost 7k@ 14 so was wondering if this could handle that on a daily. I know box rise knocks it down a bit but yea just my QQ

  • @dwalls37

If you know how to watch your sub, and give it clean power you should be fine. Just don't go playing a 10hz tone or somethin.

  • ouch! That hertz! hahhhahahha...=/

  • I know a guy that had two 15" hcca's in his truck. It was a blow through. Shits crazy!

  • What would you suggest for 2 Hertz SPL Audio sitting at 2800 RMS, I cant decide what im going to be needing to run for the 2 audion amps , for power i was thinking just 2 1400 Watt batteries for it.

  • so it features massaging seats right?

  • i want this sub!

  • to everyone talkin about this dude puttin to much power to them, hes not. these things can take shitloads of power daily. i have one so i would know. i would be comfortable giving one 5K daily on a clean setup. props dude shits bangin

  • Hey man, I have a 12" Orion HCCA, big 3 upgrade, 5 farad capacitor, and a trunk battery. I'm wondering if I bought an AQ3500.1D amplifier, and ran it @ 1 ohm, it'd be seeing about 4300wrms, according to their website. Is this safe to run at? The amp is 1 ohm stable and will be broken in prior to using the AQ3500.1D amplifier. I just don't want to ruin my subwoofer. Thanks for the help!

  • those 6x9 on sides dosent do anything when the subs are going just sucking all the air and music out of them..

  • damn that sweep reminded me of the fucking sweep they use on the transformer movies nice ass setup man

  • I got that deck!! Wooooo haha

  • are you using those 6x9's as passive radiators or do they have their own power hooked up?

  • it isnt 13000 watts the orion HCCA subs can only do 2000 watts rms and 4000 watts peak

  • @shawn963741 Shawn, you need to spend some time reading buddy. Everyone that is really into this SPORT (which is not your 2 12s in a car rattling around) knows about RMS and peak power. We also know that the PRO audio drivers are capable of tone bursts far over the peak RMS. Orion worked with us on this build to make sure we wouldn't blow these a part. Keep reading buddy youll get it sooner or later.

  • @al1enjr completley true, im not an expert on this by any means, but i know a thing or 2 about it. like when the manufacturer says 4000 watt peak. thats not true. almost EVERY speaker company (good ones) underrate there wattage on everything . like rockford fosgate and orion for example.

  • @chrisfoster4 you name the killer brands keep shopping at best buy your killin the scene

  • @skateboardkid what ? i dont shop at besy uy for car audio ? i shop at professional car audio shops. i dont understand what your sayin?

  • @al1enjr

u dont have 13kw to those subs in this video... we have a customer with 3kw+ on 4 gp3k at 16 volts to 4 HCCA 12.2 and we move WAAAAY more on the excursion...

and ur definately not getting anywhere close to 13kw on a stock alt with a couple batteries ;)

nice try tho dude ;) show me a clamp test then we can talk...

you have no right calling anyone out til then...

  • @sicaudiocolorado ? Are you sure? Because you can plug this beast into a wall which is a LOT more power than 4000 watts... 13,000 watts is how much it CAN do when you turn it up... Turning it up may result in the cone popping out... So yeah... When you're watching a vid and they say "20000 watts brootal bass!!!" It's a lie... People just add up what the numbers say on the amps... So in a way, you're right...

  • @666xXxXxXx666

positive...and 120 volts x 15A ( typical amperage of 99% of all wall outlets...) is only 1800 watts at most...volts x amps / efficiency = watts... 600 watt crunch ground pounder or 600 watt Sundown SA12can take a wall socket all day long too...

  • @sicaudiocolorado My bad man, I live in UK. The wall sockets let out 240 volts.

  • @666xXxXxXx666

IIRC it is still the same wattage since 240 volts only requires 7.5 amps ;) same math just different #'s

    240V x 7.5A = 1800 watts :)

  • @sicaudiocolorado Is it 7.5? Last time I checked there are 13 amp fuses. 240 x 13 = 2990. :/ Bit confused :(

  • @sicaudiocolorado unrelated but... haven't talked to you in a while man. I am gonna shoot you an email. :)

  • @666xXxXxXx666 and if a sub is wired lower than 8 ohms it will try to pull more power than 15a and blow the breaker.

  • @BENSYARDSERVICE Good Point!

  • @al1enjr Calm down, dude. Take a calculator and found: 13000W:14V = 929A. Do you have a battery in the car for 1000 amp? Read intelligent books himself, and then argue))

  • @shawn963741 actually when the sub wars came, i forget the vid name, but these things handled 6k a piece like it was rms power straight from the box! if i find the vid, ill come back here and post it but these speakers finally blew at 12k a piece, 4 times in a row. even beat the p2, t2, kicker l7, and every other sub there is thats famous.

  • @miketheredneckable "and every other sub there is thats famous." none of these are real SPL subs designed to handle that kinda power.. Bring on the DD's Fi BTL then start talking..

  • @lokiju314 well when my experience and research has shown that they beat dd, fi, and btl, i think they are better, plus the 4in voice coil is awesome too!

  • @shawn963741 u have no clue what the hell you talking about i push almost 3500 watts rms to orion 15.2's and they could take more without blowing.

  • @shawn963741 the hcca is way underpowered. It can handle easilly 6000 Watts RMS (but you've got to have a Very Good Amp with big damping factor and lots of TRUE RMS watts. Also good wiring, alternator and batteries. Do these and HCCA will feel comfortable with 6Kwatts)

  • @shawn963741

And watch HCCA vs Kicker solo X @youtube

  • @shawn963741 it is based on design, enclosure size that determines the amount of power that can be ran. he clearly has an immaculate design.

  • @shawn963741 Its True, most high grade subs can easy double the peak RMS, it only 6kw RMS to each sub which is believeable.

  • @MistaDeadSnow hey what about the SoundStream XXX

  • @shawn963741 Depends if you run it at the proper OHMS you could push 15k into it, you can't run it at .25 ohms with 15k pushing it without some kind of probelm like clipping or blowing it.

  • @shawn963741 wowww ur one dumbfuck that think they know it all...and prob think steve meade has the loudest system in the world! retard

  • @MrNielsen13 hey you shithead when i posted that i just got in to car audio and i think that Tommy McKinnie is the loudest

  • @shawn963741 your retarded dude! they cant take up to 5,000 rms

  • @MarioXtremeS10 i know that now when i posted that comment i just got into car audio.

  • @shawn963741 those subs can easily take 3000 rms a piece

  • @CP1124 i know i know i said the when i just got into car audio

  • @CP1124 Orion say that they can only do 2000 wrms. But that's a minimal figure.

  • @shawn963741 Sorry shawn, obviously you have no idea what the HCCA's are capable of

  • @crunkwun Like I said to some other people when I typed that comment I just got into car auido. I know they can handle alot more power.

  • @shawn963741

A sub that is rated at 2k can take over 10k watts in burps (if done right)

    @al1enjr

What amp(s) are you running? And how big is the box?

  • @shawn963741 yes rms is legit but a subwoofer can withhold alot more power they jsut say reccomended peak power so the subwoofer lasts longer an fi btl n2 15s rms says 2500 wen it can handle 11000w

  • id say hes only got 1000 rms. and your only getting 2 inches of excursion you need to double up your power, 10000 watts lol hahah the sun visors barley even move.

  • @lilceazy87 .... you obviously have not seen any of the other videos or have any clue on pro audio. Before putting your level of expertise against mine you may spend a few more years reading up and with practical applications. Intelligence says;.. 2 soundstream XXX 6500d amps are probably a lot more than 1k total. Next.. If you had any intelligence you could have gone to Soundstream's website and looked at the specs. No offense but you have no clue about this stuff. Keep learning tho

  • @al1enjr 2 soundstream xxx 6500d's eh sorry bro but no orion can handle that . thats 3 times the rated power sure it MIGHT handle the bursts but not your daily driving . But dont worry some people might beleive you have 2 soundstream xxx amps

  • @lilceazy87 ... Look at the other videos genuis!

  • nice set up, what electrical u runnin? like XS, Kinetiks, Mechman, irraggi, etc?

  • @ixiBoneCrusheRixi

powermaster batteries (d3100s), and bmw alt.

  • @al1enjr how much rms? or are they getting 6.5k rms each?

  • @al1enjr you are stupid to think youre getting 13,000 watts with a stock bmw alt damn some people wont fall for your b.s

  • this is definitely not 13k, more so in the realm of 5k... & that would be pushing it..

  • You are right, not 13k RMS is 10,500. If I bumped to 16 volts it would be 13k. Feel better?

  • how is the sound quality? sounds like it has an electricity sound to it... im not sure if thats just the camera mic

  • I bet your hot wire from your battery is about a 1 guage. Lol

People have no idea how loud 2 of those hcca 15's are because i have a 12.2 runnin on 4000w and everyone tells me its the loudest bass they've ever heard. I have a 5.7 cubic ft box tuned to 40 hertz.

  • this guy dnt even reach 4 inches of excursion

  • I'm guessing your box is tuned at around 45hz from what i can see :)

  • He has 13000 watts running to them because he can..lol..i have 2 -12.2 hccas running 10k to them.. and yes they do handle it..very cool video gotta love those ORIONS..Havent seen another sub take what they can....sofa king loud..lmao

  • what amp(s) are you using to accomplish the 13,000 watts? also what does your electrical consist of??

  • jesus fuckin christ....

  • i think u need a better camera to show excursion, the frame rate is low

  • haha go put this on tv!

well goddam there sir thoughs subs are monsters!

  • do you have a soundstream amp kicking those?

  • I am not sure if anyone has asked you this already, but why do you have 13,000 watts running to those subs?

  • I guess the question we should ask is, Why not put that much power to any subs capable of performing at that level?

  • @al1enjr is that 13krms? 6.5k to each?? or 3k to each?

  • hey what amp and what kind of box.... cu feet ect

  • what amps did you use

  • @Mattmahn11 it s not impossible to crack your window with a sub;) and btw the myth was about blowing up your car with a sub;)

  • True- they actually if you recall had blown out the sunroof enableing air pressure to be released. Plus they had some crazy thing running off the transmission. You really can blow a window from bass. T3 audio van I have seen fold it out on to the hood. I did find after wards taht the metal connecter on the rearview mirror vibrated so hard it caused it to crack.

  • Comment removed

  • Acutally yes you can be harmed by the sound pressure. During DB drag events you are required to be outside of the vehicle for that reason. I am not sure on the specific range that can cause medical conditions however the 165+db range comes to mind when I think of this. As far as I know it can irregulate your heart I am sure there is more. I also know that spl can effect a person that has a pacemaker to help their heart as well.

  • Comment removed

  • @YousufBayoumi mythbuster did do sumthin real close to that. type in mythbuster subwoofer

  • @954cityofdahood no im talking about being INSIDE a sealed box lol, mythbusters just had a large cone with a motor

  • @YousufBayoumi Correct, The Mythbuster test i was very dissappointed.. Just having a speaker move is completely different from sending a signal through it causing vibration to move... the vibration level is what will destroy a car... not the sound pressure so to speak... Any body get that? I put permanent dents in people cars rofs with 1 10in solo X sub.... can't imagine with multiple subs...

  • @rbmarius What the hell is the definition of "blowing your car up with a sub", seriously are you 6 years old or something? Please go into more detail.

  • @Mattmahn11 apparently you havnt seen the compition vehicles, Look at singaboy311, he can demolish a windsheild with 2 18's, and his new setup 6 18's.. :D

  • nice bro

  • Those are fucking insane, good vid. Thats a Giant full powerd amp then?

  • 13000 watts or not their fuckin slammin why do all u fags really care its ok to be jealous...anyway goodshit bro im gettin the 12.4 soon savin my money up cant wait

  • "put it on tv"? youtube i guess...lol

    nice setup..

  • @al1enjr why did you reply to me lol... i was addressing suzukirider.....lmao

  • i don't believe theres 13k going to those subs ..... seeing is believing buddy ,,.. show the 13k your so called claiming ...,...show the setup.....

  • There isnt. Im only at 14 volts now so there is 5300x2= 10,600rms. Versus the 13k at 16 volts.

  • @al1enjr and as for the 13k thank you for the clarafication

  • no prob. I several other videos with all of my new stuff also which I show the entire system with a ton of other mods to the car.

  • 13kw huh? what amps?

  • (2) Soundstream tarantula xxx6500d

  • so your running 18 volts? cause if your not, they dont produce anywhere near that power.

  • i cant believe some of the comments to this video, theres even a meade fan boy postin up hahahahahaha lmao

  • 6500 watts on 1 orion ?

    that's sick,

  • damn this is sick

  • @ al1enjr

Im not saying these subs are crap. I actually think they are awesome. But im saying that the mechanical resistance as well as moving mass prevent these kinds of subs from being as agile as a 10 or 12. Especially because they are spl woofers. That is all. I dont see how this is Misleading its simple konwledge

  • Why are you denying that smaller subs move much faster than large subs? It is simple physics. I am not trying to put down people, and i dont remeber calling you an amatuer. My comment was directed at people who are looking for some sound quality in spl 15's.

  • Why are people commenting on how the sound quality is? They are 15's. they have too much moving mass to be able to reproduce notes on q. Unless they were some old school super efficient low power subs then you wont get any real sound quality. And btw these are spl based woofers, so go get some 10's or 12's!

  • As I posted on your site. You have no grounds to put down other people, you also dont have a clue to music. Again as I mentioned on your page. Highs with subs make music. If I turn my bass down it is amazing that the subs sound good when matched with the large amount of speakers on vocals. I am far from an amatuer and do not appreciate unnecissary comments. Thanks for not posting ignorance again in advance.

  • this is coming from the guy that posted on my page..... "Highs with subs make music". In your long ignorant rant.

Now i know why you dont know what sq is. Sorry for blaming for not knowing what your talking about.

  • dude insane 4 15's in a bmw? holy shit

hey dude u should bump drum n bass and put those baby's to the test :D

btw like the dude below me what are the best hertz for a 1999 4 door explorer?

  • @rudyf2387 I would love to see them flex to some dnb, or dub, would be good shit. BOH!

  • You cant really give an idea on HZ. There are way to many variables. Everything changes the frequency, for example a cd case on the seat, a hand on the window, etc. Mostly it depends on your box. We use a term lab and run sweeps then tweak our cars before comps. Most vehicles I would say run int the 40-48hz range.

  • @al1enjr

Yes.. Hz levels in cars really depends on the size of the box.. Vented or sealed.. And the size and shape of the car..

For an example: a twin 12" ground zero subwoofer tuned to 46 Hz in a Volvo 740!.. The box is about 120 dm'3 or 120 litres. with a twin bassreflex port..

    Perfect for that car..

But i've tried it in a bigger car.. The frequenzy level was at its best @ 35 Hz

  • It depends on the vehicle, soundproofing and enclosure size. All of the above determind HZ levels. I would try in the 40s for starters most are usually around there anyhow.

  • thats a stupid question, why would u get the sub if u have no idea how to use them prperly

  • 4" of excursion?!?!?!?!?!? holy fuck!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah all Orion HCCAs are capable of 4" of excursion

It just takes a shit load of power to get there, haha

  • "shit load" of power. These barely move at 2k, 3k looks decent (I recomend) 4k makes you smile, 5k makes your jaw drop and them smoke from time to time. (4k rms tho)

  • awsome set up

  • wow, retards, not the guy in the vid, everyone else.

    Bills

  • Now, how would these compare to Fi ?

  • louder, but less sound quality

  • hmm, sound quality is definitely more important. for me at least.

maybe meade should get some of these ?

  • idk, but im gettin 1 for the trunk of my grand am

  • which, orion or fi ?

  • orion, 4shure. Better value. they hit waaaaaay harder.

  • great choice from my personal opinion. However dont underestimate them, They want power. I dont recomend less than 3k on a 15

  • If you've got the power to push these they are better/louder than the FI's but the FI's require less power.

  • this statement is 100% correct. Not to criticize FI either. they are great and so is the company. (Props)

  • @blown4six orion's r 1000 watts rms, fi's are 2000 watts rms, and if u ad the extra stuff fi offers to put on the sub, cooling flatwire etc they can take alot more

  • @blown4six nvm wrong orion model, the hcca's take 2000 rms

  • 200$

  • these are NOT 13000 watts are they?(ireally dont know.but ive never 13000watts 4rm just 2subs)

  • The amplifiers produce 13000 watts at 16volts not the subs. Hopefully this helps. Thanks

  • This is unacceptable, if you have a comment to make feel free however the language is unappropriate. Children watch and read these videos also. This will be removed in 24hrs. Feel Free to leave another appropirate comment. However if you actually read the tile it states "13000 watts ON the HCCAs" this would indicate the amplifiers. Do u think out of 11,000 viewers you are the only person that knows they are 2k rms and 4k peak? From this poin forward make sure to read first and dont be rude.THX

  • a big ? for u my friend can u do a hair trick ?

  • Havent tried specifically. Im sure that It can but prob not like an suv. I just dont have the air space and ported enclosure. I will try to give it a run sooner than later

  • yes. I finally tried with a borrowed cd. Posted in my videos link. Not the best but not the worse. Definately great for a BMW tho

  • Compared to a normal trunk style install, what does it sound like having the speaker right behind the seat like that? I'm asking because I'm working on putting two 18 Fi SSD's in the backseat of a Ford Taurus.

  • What does it sound like??? Hmmm my best comparison would be to listen to your music with your entire head inside of the port. NO B.S. Im not sure on other applications but for the power that I have and all 4 subs it is painful at times. One thing to keep in mind is the size of your box, my car wasnt big enough for the proper size box, that is why I have so much power.

  • My 2 15s were just as loud as the 4 I have now because of the box size, but the 4 can play all day long without issues. So I had to chose my poison. Good luck make sure to send me a link to the build when it is finished so I can see the artillery. Thanks

  • Thanks for the reply man. I've never stuck my head inside I port but it does sound like a fun idea.

If you check my channel you'll find videos of the build. It will be about a month before I'm finished. The enclosure is 14 cubes tuned at 33hz. Each speaker will get about 600RMS. Not a ton of power, but it will get them moving nicely. Maybe I'll upgrade the amplifier afterward. One thing at a time.

  • were can i get that sub from cheap or at lease a lower price

  • th e loiwist i saw was 600$

  • ebay for like 390$

  • do u know what is sick about dis video it was made on my bday lool nice job bro added 2 my fav take care 5******

  • and how good is the sound quality

  • what kind of box do you need to be able to hit that range of frequencies? Maybe it's not even the box....i don't really know. I still don't know much about this. But I have 2 12's in a ported box tuned to 25hz, and I can hit from 25-about 50hz fine, but above that it sounds shitty. These were hitting 25-80hz just fine. Maybe it's just because they're bigger?

  • did I reply to this yet?

  • nah you haven't

  • To everyone that enjoys the videos, I appologize that I acted rude to the last commentor however there is a line between commenting and this. Moving forward the winter will bring a slightly new setup for next season and some features to the car as well, a full body kit, rims, exhaust, intake and suspension are all to come. COME ON SUMMER!!!!

  • dude do you know how many subs it takes to break your windshield haha and at 13,000 supposed watts that is fucking weak dude sorry but a 13000 watt system shoulp be pushing 160.0db at 35 hz too much money not enough basss

    whack

    jl w7 all the way

  • Wow everyone should remember this guys email apparently he is knowledgeable about car audio at a 7th grade level. He genius you were wearking diapers when we started blowing up spl. Im glad to see you know more about breaking windshields than subs!!! Anyway since you didnt ask and showed your ignorance like a fool... NO THE SPL DID NOT BREAK THE GLASS!! The glass was broken by the rear vies metal attachment smashing into the window. Do you feel better? Everyone knows that you are a tool! -ALLEN

  • hahahaha you are a "Poser" you dont even have a system and you think you can criticise others. are you a highscool kid? - go do your home work your mom would be mad if she knew you were online without permission.
