Think kirsty wark comes across very well and professional. Interviewing rockstars is unfamiliar grounds on Newsnight, so for them to even do something like this at the time was surreal. Although it did highlight how notorious he was within the media, for the wrong reasons. She is sharp and straight to the point, and asking him to play one of his songs looked to me like she showed some interest in what he does best, rather than bullet pointing the obvious subjects.

The bigger an 'indie' band gets the more they're hated by people who don't like that sort of music. I think the reason why Indie gets flack is simply because it isn't good enough. Sure, Indie tunes are catchy, but nothing compared to other genres in terms of musical talent.
