  • Obama supports the bipartisan New Energy Reform Act. McCain opposes it.

The New Energy Reform Act has four basic components:

-- Opens additional areas for drilling.

-- Dedicates $20 billion to R&D on alternative fuels for motor vehicles.

-- Creates tax incentives to save energy.

-- Closes tax loopholes for big oil.

I guess if you can afford $520 Ferragamo shoes, you can afford to play politics with the energy crisis. I for one am glad Obama is looking for a real solution today!

  • NIE CZYTAJ TEGO!!!!

    JA PRZECZYTAŁEM I ZAŁUJE!!! WYBACZCIE!!!!

  • When humans can combat earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis I'll listen to the Environmentalists.

  • Your right

  • It's a shame and you deserve better but it looks as if you're stuck with that labotomised fossil McCain. Mind you we've got Gordon "Charisma" Brown. Happy days eh chaps?

  • G'Obama GO, G'Obama GO! Yeaaaaah !!!!!

  • Obama doesn't know how many states we have so how is he going to be President? If you count Fla & Mich, Hillary would be ahead. Last time I counted, we have 50 states not 48. He doesn't sound like a great speaker to me!

  • Listen to the entire speech he meant to say 47 instead of 57. He said he had one more state to visit and wasn't allowed to visit Hawaii and Alaska

  • Not only that, but he apparently thinks Hillary Clinton has an advantage in Kentucky because Arkansas is "in the same region" as Kentucky (Missouri and Tennessee lie between them), but he doesn't know that his home state of Illinois actually borders Kentucky.

  • We need renewable energy and the only candidate who is willing to make it happen is Obama.

    Obama '08

    Change for our future.

  • If he is such an environmentalist, why did he help pass the Bush-Cheney energy bill? Actions speak louder than words....

  • Gee interesting and they say Obama offers nothing but speeches it seems he has a solid lead over McCain when it comes to actual solutions to help the environment.

  • Wat a smart President wud Barack Obama be to the World. from UK. OBAMA 08.

  • SOBERING FACTS for *Hillary-Suckers*, who think West Virginia meant anything at all: Obama has WON 32 States, to Hillary's 16 States. He has won 2:1. Actual Primary Results: Idaho: Obama 80%, Hillary 17% Kansas: Obama 74%, Hillary 26%, North Dakota: Obama 61%, Hillary 37%, Wyoming: Obama 61%, Hillary 38%, Colorado: Obama 67%, Hillary 32%, Mississippi: Obama 61%, Hillary 37% Lousiana: Obama 57%, Hillary 36% Georgia: Obama 66%, Hillary 31% Virginia: Obama 64%, Hillary 35%
  • Isn't that cool? He's just saying what we are thinking, folks.So this is the way to go;

    OBAMA 08

It's just sooo simple to agree and vote :-)

  • He needs to be our new President.

Just listen to what he has to say.

For you that have a problem with his skin.

    Shame on you.

    No doubt about it.

  • Go to Kansas City MO, My Grand parents live there!

  • Addressing issues like only a real president can.

  • Question for Obama: he says that illegal immigrants don't take jobs from black people...which is true...but the 2nd, 3rd generations and so on do. I'm from the south and I've personally seen this many times. I've seen children of illegal immigrants go to black universities as well...this is not good for black americans. how does he plan to handle this?

  • No one talks about the fact you can get ten times the amount of ethanol out of hemp stalk than corn.

  • Good job! ethanol will be an excellent option for America.

  • It's funny that Obama's not talking about Clinton anymore. He's moved on!! Go Obama!!!

  • Nice

  • As much as I like Obama he's wrong on ethanol. Ethanol takes far more energy to produce than it returns, making it worse for the environment than even many nonrenewable options.

  • Barack thank you soo much for bringing up the issue of food based ethanol! That is not the way to go, because when we divert crops that go to feed people a few things happen 1) The price of food goes up 2) People find new land to grow food crops (i.e. the rain forest etc.) You have solidified to me why you are the best person for the job... you are willing to tell people what they NEED to hear, not what they WANT to hear! Obama 08!

  • tired vibe----today

    Obama wins -yes he will

    everyone wakes up!

    good luck Mr Obama..

    America needs you

  • I hope you win Obama <3

  • Those are not the same chills you get when you talk about John McCain.

Ask the people who are they gonna bet the ranch on.

  • Obama you need a speech that give you the nomination in hand. I realize the pressure to get into the details with Mc Cain. Cindy Mc Cain can buy the election if need be. You need to start speaking to those whites in rural America without an education.

  • Today, yesterday was tomorrow.

This is why we talk over the FUTURE, it's up for grabs!

    OBAMA 08

  • Wow is this a change of tack on biofuels! they have been a disaster! do you agree with the UN who said they are a "crime against humanity"?

Fantastic idea to make them out of what is currently waste. Presumably that is far more sustainable, and the farmers will have 2 income streams?

    BRILLIANT!

  • OBAMA 08!

  • Cellulosic ethanol requires more research to make it commercially viable, but it'd definitely help a variety of problems.

  • This is how a president should think about when making decisions. Obama 08

  • This is how a president should think. I have always been impressed with Senator Obama's thought process, I just makes sence.

  • I agree. Renewable energy is the most efficient way to go.

    Obama '12

    Yes we can !!

  • very good with the ethanol comments keep up the good work obama

  • ...ethanol from corn takes more energy to produce than it creates.

So yes, not the most efficient.

food processor cars? not just corn! expand!

  • yet again, another example of barack being super awesome concerning energy policy, among other things. lead us into a brighter future, mr. president. he's had my vote for awhile now.

  • 1st :P
