the reason he believed ireland and britain should be separate is because the majority of the people wanted that, because they didnt get the political reform they sought. and shall i say it once again, the majority of the people in 1916 were satisfied with political state (Home rule assured). not even the majority of the irish volunteers supported the rising (far from it). This is in relation to the video above categorising all these nationalists the same despite being entirely different.
