  • Of course, women are inferior! It must be true, because my penis is to small, so I can't handle strong women! And because I'm a insane rapist, I need them to cover their whole bodies, so I'm not rape/torture/kill her.

That's what religous men basically tell you, when they say, that women should shut up and be subordinate and/or wear potato bags.

  • Does Faircloth remind anybody else of an evangelical?

  • 3 people are adherents to the end times death cult.

  • Mr. Faircloth is accurate about the religious right (theocrats) taking over the U.S. gov't. Hell, it's already happened and it's just getting worst. It's no wonder as a Canadian and I'm sure a lot of northern Europeans feel the same way, that America who was very much looked up to, is now being laughed at because of their religious leaders, especially those in Congress.

"If you talk to god, you're religious. If god talks to you, you're insanely delusional". Remember George W. Bush? !!!

  • The USA is under a far bigger threat of socialism than it is of theocracy, and I say that as a confirmed atheist. A government that is too big is a problem, be it for socialism or religion. Either way, it is bad.

  • Morality is doing what's right no matter what you're told. Religion is doing what you're told no matter what's right.

    Let's stop theocracy!

  • Harold Camping disliked this video.

  • Theocracy in itself is a wrong term.

It would imply a god/gods ruling. It's a retarded thing to say, actually.

It's ruling by religious people present and past.

  • @SuperAhmed1337

Theocracy is what you described. It doesn't mean there is a deity in control. It means that our rule of law is based on theology.

  • FUCK RELIGION

  • I just bought Attack of the Theocrats on iTunes. Faircloth is on to a topic of increasing global importance, the terrifying power of theocrats. Optimistically, the religious charlatans are due to be once again squashed by intelligence, reason, and freedom; the proponents of which are quite angered and energized by the insidious religious campaigns against government, science and the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. This book hits the bullseye.

  • I am happy to live in Sweden, where politics and religion have nothing in common. Good luck with you efforts.

  • Well then, I must read it!

  • The right to believe as I wish about the unprovable -- religious matters -- cannot be denied.

It stops with each single individual. "I am a cult of one." -- Thomas Jefferson

Individuals have religious rights, not religions, though.

No religious view that is not also a secular view should be made law. Churches should be considered corporations and taxed accordingly.

In my opinion there should be a "don't ask, don't tell" policy about candidate's religion.

  • LOVE this guy. Chatted with him a few weeks ago at the Dawkin's book signing when Sean signed his book for me. Very friendly and certainly someone I want working for us in politics! I had never even heard of him before, but I was immediately drawn in by hearing what he had to say and how well he said it. Got the book (signed, yay!) and LOVE it. : ) (sharing video in hopes others will educate themselves on these important political issues!)

  • When one person suffers from a delusion, it's called insanity. When many suffer from a delusion, it's called religion...

  • Where can I get that scarlet A pin?

  • @KingofKings1885 richard dawkins dot net > store

  • The more time that is spent talking about things like Gay marriage, the less time we talk about things that are really important, like ending world hunger, nuclear disarmament. Its almost like they are using religion as a means to distract us from the real ways we could make the world a better place for EVERYONE

  • @craigaroundtheworld Whoa! You just boomeranged me fella! Religion has ALWAYS been a distraction...opium of the masses and all that.

  • @craigaroundtheworld

I am not sure if you are talking in general, or specifically about what he said, but he didn't mention gay marriage. He mentioned the preaching of hate. A theocratic state is a danger to the rights of the people, there are a lot of examples in the world that shows this. Religion is not a distraction for real issues, it IS an issue that has to be adressed for the sake of humanity especially if politicians are going to make decisions based on their baseless faith
