super,anyone reccomend some more obscure underground psych,not the usual suspects,i.e.country joe,quicksilver,etc,etc-proper obscure but melancholic.newish to the psych genre,but i find the more obscure gems sound the best!!?!
They are more edgy that other SanFran psych I've heard. Listen to the weird structure of this song - they must have listened to Cpt Beefheart. And they anticipate post-punk in this album too.
Beautifully insane psychedelia.Mad River were far ahead of most of their peers.I love this song and wish I could make out more of the lyrics, especially the background vocals in the last segment.
