  • its the idle air control valve

  • i actually know the problem but i cant remember cause its been a year since we figured out my friends problem, theres some sort of idle piece that has something you need to tighten and itll stop doing that

  • Comment removed

  • flux capacitor needs to be recharged just deflate the tyres half way and drive arounf with the boot open for half an hour

  • Cams may be worn.

  • Idle air control valve IACV

  • @Iwinyoulose7

that is correct. or air in cooling system but most likely idle air control valve.

  • Air intake control valve (AICV)

  • this happened at a dyno day to a newer teggy that ran a 50 shot of nos that kicked in the same time as vtec. They also kept in it to 9200 rpms and all sorts of hot firey stuff flew out of the car. It made like 200 on a mustang dyno so not bad. but it idled like shit for a while after each pull did the same thing as yours

  • You Need The Race-Sparks Dude

  • idle adjustment, loose belt idk

  • WYMIEN SILNIK KROKOWY IDIOTO!!

  • hi-cam?

  • check engine light @ 0:31 on and 0:32 off

  • It's clearly the loose nut behind the steering wheel!

  • replace the coolant temp sensor.

  • Try turning it off and back on, works with my phone every time !

  • Your blinker fluid is low

  • change your muffler bearing. with a left handed screwdriver

  • @sirkieran1986vtec... try iac vavle, tps. if those dont work, believe it or not could be thermostat/radiator..

  • youre misfiring thats why your check engine is blinking.....

  • iacv

  • vtec is a problem to a car..

  • eacv?

  • the battery plug is missing

  • worm the tranny horn up

  • Your whole engine sounds fucked. Idles like a damn tank.

  • Try puting a bit of diesel in teh gas tank, that might smooth out the idle .If that doesnt work, try some uncle benz rice.

  • you need a new rice cannon

  • check and clean out the idle air control, or you have a vacuum leak somewhere by the sound of it

  • turn off a/c

  • redline till it blows ..

  • replace ICV

  • Get a new iac(idle air control ) u should be good

  • Check and make sure all your wires to the ecu are in and make sure pins are in .. If they are take to the autoparts store like "autozone" and stuff and have them check your throtle position sensor or m.a.p sensor

  • hunting

  • just get it in the cut-off, you dont have to be in the idle, its a honda.

  • idle control valve (y)

  • Uprev: I WANNA GO FAST!!!

    Downrev: Shut DA HELL UP

  • ur driving a honda thats why

  • @MrRYANCHUNKY Honda is made by Japanese people. Enough said!

  • @Robben911back i drive a 1999 honda civic special edition, 4 door 5 speed, selling it for $1000,

  • @MrRYANCHUNKY Wow, that is cheap! In Norway cars are waaaay too expensive.

  • didnt know there was a problem with having a fucked up civic..problem should already be resolved.

  • Could you let it run for a couple more minutes? Not sure I saw the problem.

  • Idle Air Control Valve, or a vacuum leak

  • my freinds did this, it was a vacuum leak

  • It's a code 1. Idle air control valve or ecu, with it surging like that usually points to the iac

  • Just check out sensors (temp, etç), lambda (exaust), and cables. HONDA VTEC NEVER BRAKES DOWN.

  • it sounds like a sensor problem

  • thats code cel 10 iacv bad

  • this car is junk.lol

  • speed sensor no good no vtec

  • iacv

  • i had the same pro. is a sensor of temp. loll

  • try chaingin your blinker fluid

  • that red light says SRS.

    Meaning Airbag

  • did you try redlining it for a few hours?

  • got it, its a honda! thats whats wrong. its easy to fix to. just buy a real car

  • @steves7613 What??? Dude, get over with it, if you can't have one don't blame the company, blame your job...

  • @steves7613 wat is a real car? :I

  • @steves7613 hondas are fake cars?

  • @steves7613 ....... your ignorance is the problem, did you know its almost IMPOSSIBLE to blow up a honda engine with vtec? honda has sold OVER 17 million vtec systems and not one has broken down, people just think there vtec is broken because there ECU is in limp mode.

  • ya its a vtev thats your problem

  • c la valve gsr

  • just need a tune up i dont think its ur vtec cuz i have a switch on mines n when its off it does that sometimes but its bcuz of my exhaust too much oxygen not enough gas

  • it's not a VTAC problem. It sounds to be a smthg related with injection (candles, injectors head, fuel pump, etc…)

  • It looks like ur car just wants to run at top speed and start flyn lol

  • Your headlight fluid is low

  • @allturbo16 Dude are you retarded? it's his blinker fluid, idiot..

  • @oen921 Sorry I just got ASE certified, i was debating his headlight fluid or his dashboard was bolted in properly... Thanks for the answer :)

  • @allturbo16 more like ASS certified xD its his blinker fluid or his front right tire pressure.

  • @oen921 common honda problem! those damn blinker fluids are wierd to DOT 5,000

  • @allturbo16 actually its the muffler bearings, they commonly wear out around that milage

  • Clean your idle air control valve

  • flashing check engine light not good

  • Comment removed

  • Check front wiper :P

  • Maybe ur V-TEC broke

  • Mine was having this problem. I checked my coolant level and it was pretty low. Added some and Bam problem solved, but i would still check and clean your throttle bottle/ IACU and fast idle control.

  • maybe the problems the car has 150,XXX miles on it

  • @gti189 I have over 176K miles on my civic. Nothing is wrong with it. Even new parts have a way of going out early:P

  • usually happens when you make a homemade shitty swap with an engine built up of random honda engines. HAH dont be a hick and build ur shit in yo garage next to ur john deere

  • timing maybe?

  • check your fast idle control.

  • iac valve? or coolant temp sensor? check coolant lvl?

  • map sensor? O_o

  • Chek the enigen fault code!

  • lamba id say

  • idle problem

  • Almost always, when the check engine light flickers on and off its a sign of a misfire on one or more of the cylinders, so check if you have adequate spark to all cylinders first.

  • Big Cam for maximum horsepower!!!

  • @2000chevybeast in epicmealtime voice

  • what is the ecu code it is giving off? and is it obd 0,1,or 2?

  • i had this same problem with my accord it was a vac leak on the intake

  • sorry to say this but your vtec days are over my friend its all vtec-ed out :(

  • you have low coolant my car did that just needed coolent

  • maybe your vtec fell off?

  • Clean the IACV & also clean the FIV, then let it air dry before...back track your steps just as you removed it. BTW...also check VTEC solenoid for any leaks, or just replace the VTEC gasket all together after spraying it off with some carb cleaner, air dry that too!!!

  • I think you should just clean your IAC (idle air control) with an aerosol carburetor cleaner
