  • Playing this game with Gameshark codes - after you finish it at least once - is so funny. The enemies are all like:"Yeah, we're FREAKING STRONG AND OVERPOWERED!"

Player:"Oh yeah? My party is lvl 99 with the best equipments and infinite HP and MP."

    Enemies: FFFUUUUUUUU-

  • fixing to Re-buy this game for the PS, does anyone know if PS 3 plays other PS 1 & 2 games?

  • @sweepgomez Mine doesn't for some reason, but they want you to buy it on their network instead through the playstation store. Make sure you get the playstation version, and not the PSP version, I made that mistake and they won't refund me for tricking me with the pretext that you buy games at their store, to play on the ps3, unless they're games, not for the the ps3. Fucking Sony...

  • i used to kill chocobo's but then i took a meteor to the face.

  • enemy meteor chocobos in waterfall level: IMPOSSIBLE

Friendly meteor chocobos in plains: it dies within 3 turns

    Problem Ramza?

  • *prrrrrring*

  • The best... (nostalgia)

  • I've noticed everybody keeps complaining about how powerful choco meteor is. Has anyone noticed that choco meteor deals less damage than choco attack, which is a move where they simply peck at the enemy with their beak?

  • @SkyCloudPrincess The difference is they're ranging you with it so they're a bitch to get at.

  • @SkyCloudPrincess The ones to really worry about are the Black Chocobos. The triple blast thing is the actual strongest Chocobo attack, by a decent margin, though meteor still has the best range because of its vertical. Now if you just put all variations in one battle (that damn waterfall river), it's a pain in the ass.

  • 0:50 :D

  • Wiegraf...the first time you face a holy knight, he crush punches you and you die instantly...WTF throw the paddle

  • My first hour /2 hours of FFTactics:

    Acumulate.

    Don't move.

    Wait.

Rinse and repeat until you master Squire class.

Change to a more useful class (with Move+1, Gained JpUP and Acumulate)

  • @KlausBass Tailwind Tailwind Tailwind Tailwind Tailwind Tailwind until you got like 3 consecutive turns so you can Tailwind even more like 3 times in a row LOL

  • @KlausBass I mean "Yell" in the PSX version ^^

  • @KlausBass Same.

  • I was so overpowered at this point in the game the first thing I said when I entered the batlle was:"WEAR THE FACE OF DESPAIR!FOR THIS IS AN EXECUTION!YOUR EXECUTION!!!

  • i remember having lvl 99 agrias and she just wiped everything off the map.

  • @Cruzman3609 Why don't you just go and play your "decent" Call of Duty? Ugh, that name doesn't deserve to be remembered here. You would not have idea what quality even if it would bitch-slap you in the face.

  • I remember this random battle music well; I was up until the wee hours of the morning leveling up my calculator and this track always made me extremely drowsy.

  • @Cruzman3609 Ur a homo

  • Funny how I got through the game with nothin but warriors and knights til i started dealing with fuckin lances.

  • @RaiderMace Hmm.

I got that problem now:i am fighting lancers in the chapel, and i have a bad feeling that soon i will be facing someone even worse:Wiegraf.

  • @piromaniac9999 That battle was so fun I beat it like 4 times before I saved.

  • @Kimihro I defeated wiegraf and the bastard survived.

i was getting better armor and i really like orators.

  • Random Battle at Mandalia Plains

    ....

Okay some Kobalds and Chocobos....OH! A level 97 Archer and Black Mage in the black

Let's STEAL EVERYTHING THEY HAVE ON

  • @tribilyan I know, right? I always loved those rainy and dark battle fields, they felt so enchanting. ^_^

  • @Cruzman3609 If you are blinded by hatred, why are you on a FFT video in the first place? Makes sense to me to stay away...

  • @Cruzman3609 smh

  • @Cruzman3609 u mad bro?

  • @Cruzman3609 lolwut

  • I really wish they remade this game

  • The echo of my enemies death throes made this epic music even better. Not only did this game have an amazing soundtrack, but it is one of the best composed RPGs out there imho. Thanks for the upload.

  • I always felt bad killing chocobos. But when you've got Gafgarion and a nearly impossible battle to win, you don't have a choice in getting stronger. :-(

  • Sound effects of the Choco Attack are permanently etched into my brain I hear this.

  • Awwww such an awesome soundtrack. Never managed to play through this fairly hard game yet, but one day I will and if it's only for the sake of listening to this tune in game again. :D

  • 0:52 TSUNAMI OF CHILDHOOD MEMORIES =D

  • got goosebumps at 0:51

  • Man I love this song, brings me back more than any other track. Thanks for sharing!

  • I love this song, and it's funny because no matter what I fight, I have never lost a battle with this song playing, no matter the odds.

  • Epic... one of the best soundtracks ever.

  • I can't enough of this theme. Like others, I just picture a vast green field. I like this particular theme as it's a nice break from all the other intense and epic battle themes.

  • When I hear this I think of Europe.

  • @mopbrothers Why Europe? :-)

  • @MrHoyQ The bells make it sound like a chapel in England/France/Germany or somewhere. I think of Sleeping Beauty when I hear this which also takes place in Europe.

  • Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, I wanna go back to 1998

  • The most memorable tune when JP farming at the beginning of the game. ohh the stress and happiness collide.

    " Meditator casts: Invitation:

    "Thbourne has joined the team!"

GOT MY FIRST CHOCOBO, HELL YEAH!

  • @Polomance862 too bad they keep hatching new eggs making more alot of useless chocobo

  • Chocobos are usually harmless, but FFT Chocobos? Do NOT mess with them, they can sic an effing METEOR at you.

  • @EXOmegaZero lol u rite. theyre not a threat in other FF games. even in FF7 u race with them but THIS game, these bastards can jump over buildins fly drop meteors..... n datz also why red chocobos make good fighters lol

  • @EXOmegaZero funny thing is sephiroth was trying his very best to summon that one meteor

  • @EXOmegaZero

Oh dear, FFT Chocobos... Bad memories...

  • i love this game

  • Yes! I've been looking for this one all over the place, didn't remember the name. This is my favourite piece of the FFT OST :)

I just love the crescendo of the "refrain" of sorts. Thank you so much for sharing this! Thumbs up & faved!

  • Imagine living in the ff tactics world. I would be a no nonsense rogue knight who wants to beat the crap out of the royal families and nobles with badass music

  • @WillC haha nice! I would be a Dark Knight, and just do stuff for gil be a hired Mercenary like my favorite character Gafgarion, He was very strong and smart.. he did what he had to do for money! and you get stronger fighting so much!

  • Yes! Ive been looking for this track...I really like this tune.. :)

    Job well done.. :D

  • Lol stupid berserk/confuse move

  • The most awesome tactical game ever and the soundtrack absolutely rocks.

This is my favorite theme though.

  • Mandalia plains + all enemies are chocobos = FFFUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • @RyhthmDefined Your life is Effed O:

  • @RyhthmDefined

Clever birds, healing each other and poking you with their beaks.

  • @RyhthmDefined i heard this when i got the rare 11 monk fight, even with my dad sitting next to me, i yelled FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!! not to mention i hadn't saved in forever -_-

  • I love this battle theme.

  • stupid aqua soul

  • My fav theme from this game

  • best battle theme ever. its just so awesome.

  • Amazing use of scales here. It's also a perfect sister song to 'Random Waltz', and I can't help but think of both songs when my mind drifts off to how much time I spent on the Mandalia Plains.

  • 1 person is a troll.

  • I love it

  • Amazing track. My father used to come in the room to watch me fight every time this song came on, because he loved the part from :52 and on.

    Memories...

  • I love how soothing this song is, even if it's for a battle. Amidst all the tension and drama between the storyline battles, just getting into a battle and hearing this song really calmed me down and helped me regain my composure.

  • wow if I didn't know any better, I would've thought this was from FFXII. Love the Ivalice soundtracks, the composer knows how to capture the same feel for the world in two different games. AND WOW 1:00 gives me chills. Anybody know where I can find the song that plays at the start up screen?

  • *Conditions: Defeat all enemies*

    *Battle start*

    *Aiguptos (Chocobo) moves*

    *Uses Choco Attack*

Damn, always put the Priest THERE.

  • Who did the music for Final Fantasy Tactics Advance?

  • I always love going into an random battle and seeing an enemy HUMAN. I always loved that because I can get powerful weapons and armor very early in the game.

  • This song is whimsical, and I believe has an accordance with critical hits, from the original ps version. I understand that criticals must be random, or generated through a percentage system, but I literally kept count, with every different song, replaying levels and studying patterns. While fighting during this song, I got 68% MORE criticals fighting in green dots, than any other song, and I researched for a week. Dunno if there's a connection, but I know I'll have criticals when it plays. :)

  • I'm sure it's just a coincidence but maybe you personally get luckier when this track plays. lol It's my favorite random encounter theme for the reasons i explained in a comment earlier. Who knows though lol

  • Great Music.. just great.

  • This one kind of takes me back to getting that perfect team put together. They're all different from one another, some being radically different... but they come together to work as a unit and win the battle. This song has several layers that are all over the place but each section of the song comes together in an epic moment that's just stunning despite being fairly simplistic. I don't know if anybody will get what I mean but yea.... Love this game, love the music lol

  • I've arranged a piano version of this, anyone who wants it can email me

  • i played the original and im undecided if im getting a psp just for this game (even tho it is AMAZING!!!) so far im leaning towards buying it but can someone tell me if at least most of these songs are in the War of the Lions as well?

  • I'm also considering getting a PSP just to replay this game, and I certainly hope it has the same music!

  • get it. I LOVE THE NEW SCRIPT!!

  • @aksnyper

Hey dude I'm not sure if you made your decision yet, but yea I'm pretty sure all the songs are in it.

  • thx for the input but i got the original on the ePSXe instead xD

  • What a lovely song! I was watching my boyfriend play this game when I heard this. He's a big Tactics geek. Now I'm interested in giving this game a try!

  • 本当に良い曲です。

  • ah i just love this track especially the beginning and 0:53

  • i love this song. it's very enchanting. but i wish squaresoft would have included most of the battle songs in random battles.

  • interesting

  • working on a piano arrangement of this, will post when done

  • God, this music is just beautiful....

  • i think this song is one of the major reasons why I got this game. I remember loving it years ago and I still do.

  • Know what's crazy. When you're in love with a soundtrack, then in love with like 5 others (radiant silvergun, dragon quarter, ffXII) and then realize it's the same dude. So awesome. Love this tune. Maybe because I trained right before the execution so much.

  • Sakimoto is without a doubt one of the greatest game composers today. I think he also has a very distinctive style. I gotta look for this Radiant Silvergun soundtrack, haven't listened to it before.

  • @PeyserConley Yes indeed. Sakimoto's style is, in my listening experience, unique to him.

  • No, I loved FFXII music, it defines Ivalice perfectly. There's nothing wrong with it at all, but I guess that's just your opinion, I can't really fault you for that. xD

  • I have to agree, you're right about Phon Coast, heh, not my favorite track. But things like Paramina Rift, or Ashe's Theme, The Great Crystal, Salikawood, Necrohol of Nabudis, Nabreus Deadlands, and the overall theme of XII, and the track used in the 1st part of the ending, they're all beautiful pieces that represent what Ivalice is perfectly. FFTA2, FFTA, and especially FFT also represent Ivalice is such a special way, depending on the timeline of Ivalice. FFXII suits the Golden Era nicely.

  • I love the pirated tunes in FFTA2. I just wish the story wasn't for 4 year olds. In some respects I think Square is getting lazy with the GBA rpgs. I want a new FFTactics for the major systems that isn't for kiddies. Speaking of stories, FFXII really fell apart toward the end, and Vayne was the lamest villain since Kuja.

  • Really? I agree Vayne was lame, but I think the Ocurria was the perfect touch. The whole thing with Cid, Venat, and Gabranth are just fine. I think Cid or the Ocurria themselves should have been more added in as more important enemies in the game, rather than Vayne.

The FFTA2 story is so childish compared to FFT, but if you allow yourself to just enjoy it and take in Ivalice some more, it can still be quite enjoyable sometimes.

What I like to see is a 3D Tactics game. That would be somethin'.

  • never really payed attention to much of the story in FFTA, but I did like the gameplay. no more farmin for job points, but now we gotta farm AP xD

  • @Kicks42: You forgot Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant story.

He did a lot of works as well. Check out wiki for info

  • @Kicks42 yup and FF12 and FFT are in the same universe also (ivalice) :D

  • @Kicks42 dont forget vagrant story!

  • @Kicks42 I know what you mean. I loved this OST in an anime called Romeo x Juliet (so much it made me watch it-- disappointment though... but yeah, pwr of the music..) and I realized it was the same guy who composed FF12.

I like being able to tell in this playlist when it's Sakimoto Hitoshi's work playing. Definitely going to check out his other compositions.

  • FINALLY I was looking for this one forever!

  • Favourite song in the game. Too epic (especially at 0:52) for the only minor playtime it got in the game.

  • mandalia plains+rain= great memories

  • @ramza675 I'm not the only one! I too spent hours of leveling up and skill grinding on the Mandalia Plains. I remember entrapping a frog that used to be a chocobo and grinding JP as long as was necessary for that skill...Two Swords! >=D

  • @ramza675 Hahaha, yes! I was about to type something to that effect. Mandalia Plains in the rain, with this sweeping, airy track playing........the memories of that wonderfully enveloping atmosphere unique to FFT will remain with me always!

  • Great!

  • One of my favourites. Thanks for rating. :)
