This is such a wonderful example of Bret writing another amazing love song! I prefer this version to the one with Miley. perhaps him doing a version with Miley is just another marketing scheme to cross over to another generation of fans...(this probably benefited her career as well to be taken more seriously among the adults) Michaels is real good at marketing himself .... lets face it... I wouldn't be surprised if he would do a duet with Justin Bieber

@missingjim When you become an icon, people know your voice then this is the man, until then..Not just anyone can be lead man and make it past Poision which so happens to be an awesome band...I don't think he needs a little girl to get him where he is going in life, when you get where he is then complain until then it's just lame. She has a lot of fans, he knows it and that opens him up to a new generation of fans. I grew up when 'Poison' was around, they were good. They were far from great, come one, most people don't even know who they are. Most people know maybe two of their songs that's it!

@missingjim Guess I was young enough and had a daughter that loved Poison, Cinderella, Skid Row, etc...being in my early 20's I guess I grew up with her lol...Now let's admit when Unskinny Bop hit, everyone in the sound of music heard of Bret Michaels and Poison..I am not a celebrity follower, but something about Bret as a person has kept me in the loop all these years, I have to say I also am A Bret Michaels Fan and yes mostly still live in the 80's as far as music goes..LOL

@missingjim Actually, he was in the studio recording this song when she walked in (she was getting the rights to Every Rose Has Its Thorn) and listened to this song. She said that she liked it, and would like to do some backup work on it. There was never anything pre-arranged. It was all spontaneous.
