to the comments of mom bonding with the pups, we did what the Vet advised us to do, and she bonded just fine with the entire litter of nine pups...thanks !
It's too bad you didn't let the mom do her job with her babies.They're supposed to break the sack and all. Let her do what they're supposed to do next time. Better bond and the mom will take to the babies quicker.
Your arent supposed to do that to the pup the first one thats why she ate it. Dogs like to brake the seal themselves cause they dont like the scents she probably wouldnt have ate it if you wore gloves and gave it back to her
Not all bulldogs are SUPPPOSED to have a c section just depends on how they are built they are just like any other dog ITS BETTER for the puppies if they are born natural

we assisted in her biRth...her second litter which she just had was a c-section, so everything is different depending on the birth JUST LIKE WOMEN

Right now on this christmas eve our bulldof is in the early stages of labour.
However, she is not panting or anything and we are still waiting. It appears that your dog did not pant pre-birth.

She's actually a pretty decent specimen of a bulldog, and it's great that she can free whelp. Unfortunately most of then can't. Congrats ^.^
