  • This song is going to sound in my heart forever. Her melody, her voice and her lyrics are totally amazing. That's like a whisper in my ear, something that I would like to hear all the time! :) (sorry, I'm not very good in english yet.. I'm spanish xD)

  • Any worked out how to play this yet? Can't find a tab ANYWHERE. Pah.

  • Lovely, seen her last year at Hard rock calling London, she was superb.

  • Anyone figured out this version on guitar?

  • I actually like her version BETTER than The Editors. Don't get me wrong, I like The Editors, but this is outstanding, and rarely can someone improve on a song when covering it.

Sort of like the unplugged version of "nineteen" by Tegan & Sara although it isn't a cover, its better than the studio version when played acoustically.

  • WoW, she sounds like Norah Jones, very good!!!!

  • Great verses....but her take on the chorus sucks. I'm just sayin.

  • what is this from? does she have a cover album?

  • @ericsaywhaat radio 1's live lounge albums :)

  • @ericsaywhaat this was from her first album.. the double disc edition with the extra tracks

  • @ericsaywhaat

I think it's from the first volume of Radio 1's Live Lounge :]

  • Too beautiful.

  • Simple, but amaaaaaaazing song!

  • LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • Simply amazing... Corinne is incredible <3

  • It is true that it is a cover of the Editor's song. But this version is so softer and fits so well with Corinne Bailey Rae's voice that it looks like a brand new song

  • Love Love Love her...her style is soooo me....most simply beautiful voice I've heard.....Cant wait for more music from her

  • ~Like dis song 2.. =)

    ~Thnx 2 sum1 4 dis Lullaby..

  • One of the most wonderful voices in the U.K., and probably the world!

  • The line is 'People are fragile things', although I don't know what you mean by 'I hate to chourus' ...???!!

  • she simply means that peoples emotions are easily effected. We are sensitive beings so watch how you treat them.

  • @iLOVEjoyDivision yeah i think i know what you mean...chorus didn't retain the same kinda 'tone' as the original right? still love this version tho.

  • I love both versions, I didn't even know she had done a cover of this. Makes sense considering she was in a punk band for awhile. They are two completely different versions fo the same song though and shouldn't be compared at all.

  • It really doesn't matter if this isn't the original. She could read the phone book and I'd still listen. What a voice. And she doesn't have to take half her clothes off to impress like some of the sluts out there.

  • @holdencaufield200

    Nice one :)

  • @holdencaufield200

Great comment, and I love that your youtube User ID is named after the boy from Catcher in the Rye. Timeless book. RIP J.D. Sallinger. And yes, Corinne Bailey probably as the most unique voice i've heard in recent years.

  • @dbo514 Thanks, not suprised that someone who knows of or has read the classic's are drawn to Corinne. Intellegence and depth of character are usually the traits of her fans.

  • @holdencaufield200

Wow, I guess you're right, in a way. She sings for people, life...and reaches to touch our very inner beings, Holden Caulfield, as I recall how I imagined him, had a very unique, frantic, almost desperate view of the world that surrounded him, you see I red Catcher in the rye right in the middle of my teenage years, and it's been lurking around in my mind ever since, Corinne's songs really are making me see how fragile it all is, she sings like she cherishes something...

  • @holdencaufield200 *intelligence

  • @jkino78 Thanks for the compliment.

  • @holdencaufield200 yeah no worries ;)

  • @jkino78 *yes, no worries :)

  • @holdencaufield200 yeah is not a mistake, it's informal. "Intellegence" is (quite) a mistake and in the context, quite ironic. Bye now

  • @jkino78 Thanks mr. or mrs. correctall, I'll take my altruistic comments and the other wonder comments on this page instead of your petty comment and any subsequent comments that you may have any day......... If you are a CBR fan, please vote down his or her trolling comments once again so that the page of this wonderful artist can remain unblemished. Thanks.

  • It's not ''by'' Corinne Bailey Rae; it's a cover by Corinne Bailey Rae of the Editors' Munich

  • corinne, sos tan bella. :)

  • Great cover.. I love the original and this version has its own beautiful interpretation.

  • Very Good. Captivating... soulful! An enchanting experience that will live in me forever. Well done Corinne Bailey Rae, well done!!!!

  • so much better than the original... I mean come on.

  • Corinne does a wonderful job, but don't knock the original too much. Bands like the Editors tend to be acquired tastes

  • wow such a beutiful song (^_^)!!! if only someone would post chord charts for this version of the song somewhere (r_r)...

  • Such a good cover of an awesome song.

  • I love the original song (because I love Editors) but this cover is really good!!!

It sounds really like Corinne Bailey Rae and that's the best part.

    Great song!

    Great cover!

  • I heard this today. I didn't know what to think. It's so radically different than the original. It's almost haunting.

  • It's very different from the original, which is good! Frankly, this is the only Editors cover I like...Well done! =D

  • this is one of the lovliest covers of one of the best songs.

    x

  • i completely agree. and from one of the most beautiful singers of all time.

"people are fragile things, you should know by now.. be careful what you put them through."

    magical line:)

  • i like this cover. i like the original version. now is everyone happy? : )

  • She took a song that appealed to a certain group of people and changed it so it appealed to a different group of people. There's nothing wrong with it. It's simply the spread of good music.

  • Love it

Never a cover is better than the original, but it doesn't mean that can't be good.

  • good comment my friend

  • totally agree.

  • the original is better.......

  • well done

  • amazing! how did she think of this XD

    love this version!

  • omg! how do you get this?

  • theres alot better version and its by editors not her

  • yhea of course, she covered it!

  • alright don't cry about it

  • That, my ignorant friend, is why it's called a COVER.

  • this song is on hollyoaks in the city, series one, episode nine-teen, 00:48. thankyou and goodnight.

  • ik hou van gert en marie

  • you get more feeling and relation to the song in this version

  • I definitely agree. I love this song in camparison to the original.

  • Great version, a fresh and soulful alternative to the original.

  • i love your voice !

  • love it
