  • @weezilesq yeah that was funny.

  • the problem is this isn't off the cuff, he did this comeback retort at every show that tour. plus the woman shouted "water" at every show too.

  • coogan on absolute peak form!

  • Lynne, you couldn't present...a cat...!

  • 15 people come from Manchester.

  • @heavymetalboi bellend

  • Jimmy Carr completely ripped off this!

  • did you see that thing on the telly where they revealed it was matt horne who yelled this out here! it was when he was a student

  • back of the net!

  • @sobbsable

    I can be your bodyguard?

  • Wahh-toh.

  • @ilove4chanlolol huh? it's brilliant reaction!

  • @AlexisCapri he just gets really angry, a proper comedian would have said something funny and put him down

  • @ilove4chanlolol It's steve coogan playing an-ex bbc personality/chat show host so the realms of a 'proper' comedian don't really mean anything considering Alan Partridge was merely a farce and never a comedian in the first place.

  • @ilove4chanlolol This is all part of the act. Alan Partridge, (he part here being played by Steve Coogan), is probably the worst TV presenter/celebrity imaginable. He says all the wrong/inappropriate things when, 'hosting', a show. He desperately wants to do the right thing, but always fails with hilarious consequences. His heart is in the ight place, but just hasn't got the faintest idea, gets annoyed and insults everyone! Watch the TV series if you really want to know what he's about.

  • @ilove4chanlolol He's in character thats the way the the character he is playing would react. that reaction just shows how well steve can think on his feet without going out of his role which is quite a tricky thing to do.

  • @ilove4chanlolol he's not a comedian

  • @al28283 - And you're not a human.

  • @ilove4chanlolol looks@name, yeah this isn't for you, move along go watch herp de derp mudkips or something, you may find picture books more to your liking aswell.

  • @ilove4chanlolol makes me think what a facewank you are for being so stupid and wrong, hes using it for comedy how is that possibly taking it badly

  • Well done to the guy who sees the fish punchline coming and pisses himself! Awesome video

  • he is the man the man we think he is shit

you see cos when i see him i have this plasticine ball on a chain and when i throw it at him it has these hooks and itll take a big chunk out of his cheek

this video was the funniest ever

  • I love Alan but if I hear that "You can call me Al" music and the advertised fake site at the end of one more video on YouTube, I'll cook a cat.

  • of course we are in manchester...

  • pmsl "Yes, we've finished that bit darling" :-D

  • "Nazi's.. but with excellent facilities... as had the Nazis'

  • when that woman shouted water that genuinely couldnt have been better comedic timing

  • That is correct Gavin from Gavin and Stacy said gravel FACT

  • gravel, that was matthew horne that shouted that,

  • sweet tune at the end of the clip too

  • you can call me al. just if you didnt know what it was

  • absolute class.

  • I love it. Steve Coogan is a genius.

  • in off the red

  • heheheh funneh!!!!

  • Steve Coogan is one of the comedic greats but one of the prerequisites of appreciating it is actually HAVING a brain, so people that don't like him, there's episodes of Full House you can download.

  • lol! And also not just having to rely on a script and being to go off the point like this... stand-up credentials coming through.

  • @ChannelTG

Looks like he was reading something off his hand

  • Can you explain?

  • i know a few people that just don't get crap humour, things that are funny cos it's dumb and/or crap, like jon lajoie. i love it

  • comical genius

anyone who thinks otherwise is a moron!

  • You are quite right artwel123, Steve Koogan is not funny and alan partcage is not either.

However, Steve Coogan is hilarious, and Alan Partridge is genius.

    I'm glad we can agree.

    AHA!

  • I think you've cracked it! Cashback..

  • back of the net!

  • Text book

  • @edinburghskeptics Hang on what you saying? You think he is funny or not? I think he is

  • @edinburghskeptics That's brilliant! :')

  • @edinburghskeptics Haha! alan partcage!! artwel123 is a compleme mwam!

  • What a genius.

  • kiddin. why cant i find this show? was this 98 or 94??, dang gotta get a copy of this show

  • why?

  • So you wander around YouTube trying to find people you think are shit, instead of trying to find people you like.

You're quite literally, a fish out of water.

  • to be honest you must be a dumbass, if you you were as you say a "huge fan of steve coogan" why the fuck would you rip him? your either seriously thick or slightly retarded but hey what ever floats ya boat fucktard

  • artwel123, just be quiet ok? Your comment "I think he's shit" about someone you claim later to be a fan of makes YOU the dumbass, not anyone else.

  • Next time, admit that Alan Partridge is brilliant, that's why he is one of the most popular characters ever. don't say "it's shit" and then pretend you were making a joke.

  • legend

  • if you don't think Coogan is a comedy god then you're a thick prick!

  • He used the exact same comeback here in Melbourne the other day.

  • @allclasschris

I'd like to see you make a different comeback for all 200 shows you perfom live, if you can do better you should phone him and asked to be hired :)

  • soh funnay

    Alex Jones

  • If only I had your astounding proficiency with spelling, syntax and grammar; you've really put us Brits in our place...

  • Speaking as an American citizen who tries very hard to be a good speller and eloquent speaker, I hope to be a Brit one day!

  • Haha, thanks for the rhetoric! I should really apologise (apologize - lol) for the generalisation and failing to take into account all of the educated Americans. I do feel, however, that this would have taken the edge from my argument. By the same token, I should point out that Britain has some morons who could give yours a run for their money. Thanks again for vocalising some reason from over the pond.

  • Ha ha! My pleasure. I take all you said as a grand compliment. And I do actually want to live in England someday!

  • Should be 'we' Brits

  • haha look at his profile, i dont think you have a friend in the world you stupid fuck.

  • sorry, that passed me by, I only speak English

  • I'm going to see Steve Coogan live next Friday I'm so excited I can hardly wait!!!!

  • u do have to wait

  • was he good

  • He was brilliant altho he had bad reviews he will always be top class in my eyes!! x

  • haha legend

  • Hahah the orange guy!

  • Partridge has moved on, so should you.

  • SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Brilliant response.

  • well tell me then how does Partridge move on he's a make believe charecter lol

  • Because characters evolve over time.

  • ok his Partridge charter was the one that really made Steeve Coogan so how does the charecter evovle (he doesn't he is Alan Partridge nothing more nothing less he's in that green jacket because he does a spoof show lol)

  • Had to read that a few times... It has to evolve because he hasn't played the character for many years, so there needed to be something new to keep up realism.

  • No, I was talking about Alan Partridge, but I'm not surprised you had difficulty reading it to be honest.

"Alan" has presented his own radio show, then he got a chat show, now hes a motivational speaker. Hes moved on even like he was during the TV shows.

  • In other words you have no answer to my argument.

  • "You're", not "Your"

    :)

  • What!!!

  • what!!!

  • what?

  • Exactly when was this "Partridge Charter" signed?

    Is it still legally binding?

  • Did he do Tony Ferrino in anyone elese show who went to see him apparently he fininshed the show early when we went half hour infact :(

  • Saw him at the Birmingham NIA a few weeks ago, he used this exact comeback to a heckler. :P

    Brilliant stuff. =D

  • saw him last wednesday in manchester brill... i shouted where dan he said dead rip dan....

  • seein him monday:P

  • Seeing him next Saturday, looking forward to it :D

  • me to ! cu there !

  • whats he got against ross kemp he ripped him bits all show lol

  • saw him in manchester last monday.brilliant.'everybodys a bit of a cunt sometimes'

  • we went thursay at the apollo, wasnt too impressed with Saxondale, but the second half as Partridge was pure class. Ross Kemp took some stick!

  • Great stuff, classic Partridge :D

Saw him last week in Sheffield - brilliant show. He did Paul and Pauline Calf, Saxondale, Thickett and of course Partridge. After reading the reviews I wasn't expecting much but he delivered, well worth seeing.

  • I saw this show in ipswich the same day as you, mate

  • Ive heard his new show isnt up to scratch? How are the Partridge Observations?

  • I saw him in Southend and I was worried it wasn't gonna be any good cos of the reviews. But it was very good, not sure how he got such bad reviews.

  • I saw it in Birmingham and I really enjoyed it, it was all new stuff and I thought well written, the audience were all laughing! The media just doesn't seem to like coogan =(

  • Fucking great! Coogan is a genius!

  • Saw Coogan a couple of nights ago.

    PURE GENIUS!

  • That applause was for me by the way.

    Genious

  • genius,badboy.

  • whats the song called at the very last part of the video

  • It's 'You Can Call Me Al' by Paul Simon

  • thank you!

  • Coogan's a fucking genius

  • Audiences can be pricks, but he handled well - very well lol

  • mr ponko you're a twat. as is nah1hodge. its pretty much clear for all to see, what is even the point of being needlessly homophobic on youtube its not impressing anyone.

im off now to go find out if you have any dead relatives for me to have sex with.

    peace out, a-town

  • okay everything says 0:00 on the youtube thing where it times it and its still playing

  • GAY For the win...

  • No sorry my friend, I'm not homosexual. Perhaps you wish I was, but sorry, I'm not. I think its perverted and disgusting for two men to have intercourse.

Ooooh looks like Mr Womanly before has a new chum. Both of them think I'm gay only for typing out a youtube comment. You two enjoy yourselves now...

  • Dude. No-one thinks your gay. But i'm sure many people including me, think your needlessly homophobic. Anyways, how can you expect to not be called gay when you seem to accuse anyone who talks you of being gay, based on what they have on their channel.

  • Well done for getting that off your chest Mr Feminine.

Looking at your channel and what you look like, I don't think you are in any position to accuse anyone else being homosexual Mr Womanly. Your not exactly a Man Oh Man yourself are you?

So tell us Mr Womanly, you say I'm gay for only posting one comment on youtube . Ok then.

I think your lame channel and the exceedingly poor videos on it are more the proof that you are homosexual.

You take care now Mr Womanly

  • ponko is a bender

  • ponko

the audience could of shouted anything his act is designed to take whatever the audience shouts and turn it into comedy, as he does there is nothing specific in his audience interaction, listen to it, closely, the audience could of shouted gravel, scales anything the joke still fits because it is designed to encompass all audience responses

  • indeed

  • Pretty funny... the audience parts were proably faked though. Paid actors shouting that stuff out. It seems unlikely someone could think those jokes up like that.

  • Steve Coogan used to work backstage at a Manchester theatre years ago before he did Spitting Image and was by all accounts annoyingly funny. Taking the mick out of an audience member is a piece of piss.

  • So it wasn't you then Mr Ponko. You fucking retard!

  • Errrr.... ok. No it wasn't me moosey. I think I was busy that day.

All I'm saying is that I believe that paid actors were shouting that stuff out from the audience. It seemed scripted. I can't see how that makes me a retard.

I don't understand your comment at all. Perhaps you are trying (extremely unsuccessfully) to be amusing or clever.

For your own sake stop making a fool out of yourself. I feel embarrassed for you. People don't find you funny they are just think "What the HECK?!?!?!"

  • Everyone shut up.

  • Steve Coogan = Muhammed Ali.

    Peter Kaye = Prince Naseem.

    Different class.

  • Good point!

  • peter kay v steve coogan??? coogan delivers a knockout right uppercut in the first, kay down for the count.Basically i am saying kay is useless, even worse than his brother vernon

  • he's v gd in partridge roll but..kay is v funny in person as well as in charater.

  • steve coogan the funniest man in this country. peter kay isnt in the same league.love all his characters.

  • To be fair, Coogan and Kaye have very different styles indeed, and I think both are great in their own way. Trying to compare them would be like trying to compare a vodka with a beer.

  • more like comparing erotica with scat porn

  • WATER (Mancunian accent) LOL

  • lol i he is the best person ever on TV i mean he's very clever pity no shows are like his nowadays. I don't like the skech show now the funniest things are real life though you can simulate that on TV or t'interweb

  • seeing him at blackpool , kiss my face!

  • goin to see steve in october in sheffield cant wait. gona be immense
