  • This is such a good video. I've been told many times irl that I've got to keep my head on the ground, and I know I have to. But it's hard changing just by knowing what to do verbally. But from you showing the difference between your head being on the ground, and your head NOT being on the ground, I can really understand the change in the windmill form going from lower hips to, high shoulders.

  • you'd want to have your forehead touching the ground. that way ur hip will naturally be elevated. it's also good to have your head on the ground becuz it prepares you for moves like headmills, halos, baby mills, etc.

  • I'm trying to to do windmills but I can't seem to put my legs into motion. When I try to kick, I never spin hard enough to make a full rotation. Also my legs never stay straight.

    If your foot is hitting the ground it means the pathway of your foot goes into the ground. You will have to concentrate on sweeping your leg around above ground level rather than into it.

    Try doing Forearm Mills instead of Turtle Mills (turtle method). dont use the palm of your hand roll over your fists or forearms. with turtle mills you can get away with foot hitting the ground...but forearm mills will emphasize the legs. your hands are no longer the generator, now you will have to rely solely on the legs to generate momentum. which means youll have to clear the ground with the pathway of the foot.

    Try throwing your upper body into the direction of your roll. throw your shoulders into the turnover ahead of the legs. Most windmills are from your back to your back, not front to front. kno wut i mean?

    get your back around back to your back ahead of your legs. its called a torso torque. not only is there a hip torque but theres a torso torque as well. is emphasized more with no hand windmills.

  • Naw, but Push Ups, Crunches, & Pull Ups sure help!! Dips and squats to. I do "creative push ups" which is like side to side, front to back, and in circles or spirals up...theres a few more ways too..
