some of this is right but a lot of it is not. traffic laws are there to protect the general public however the consequences for breaking these laws should be different. instead of fines, you should receive a documented warning and if caught again a years ban and a mandatory re-take of your driving test before your allowed your license back. just a suggestion :)

A few years ago a couple of cars down my street had paint thrown over them by some drunk idiots.One of them being my wifes car.The police were called and a police woman came to my house.She came in and started to ask questions.Not about the incident or ask for a description of the people who did it.No it was all questions about me.Date of birth, what did i do for a living etc etc etc.When i said that it was not important and if she got a move on she would catch them she went .off in a huff.
Also worth mentioning. Policing in the UK is no longer measured performance. It is measured on confidence and satisfaction. You have the right to say nothing apart from in certain circumstances which will be explained to you. Easiest thing to do is obey the laws set and if you have an issue bring it up with your MP and don't try kick up a stink with a bobby it wont get you anywhere. If suspected of an offence tell the truth and you will be fine!
A couple of points worth mentioning that would be quite important to know about. If an officer suspects you of committing an offence he/she will ask you for your name, address and date of birth and you are required by law to give that information. You will be arrested for failing to do so. Drink driving is dangerous hence it is illegal and you don't get a ticket, you get a ban. Seatbelts are a safety device there for a reason, takes 2 seconds to put one on!

It was an awful abusive experience, and when I debated the issue with the states attorney, I was told there is a new law that when a crime has taken plade, anyone within the area of the crime is a suspect and has no rights.

A little over 7 minutes in he says that you are crazy to answer their questions when they tell you "you have the right to remain silent". Well, guess what? They don't give you the Miranda warning any longer. THEY DO NOT READ YOUR RIGHTS ANY LONGER! You simply have to know them yourself and do not talk to them about anything. This includes witnessing something. I could see a carjacking and I would not assist the police any longer. The system is the problem, nothing more.

I haven't done anything wrong? I was not given a ticket but officer asked for my driver's license and registration I complied while he glanced through the window into my car. Maybe you should ask people that have been pulled over for no reason and see if they agree with you..

The reason police officers give out tickets is because they know that people will not listen if they were to just get a verbal warning. You have to hit them where it hurts...their wallet. The reason police officers want to pull people for speeding etc is to prevent loss of life because hey, lets face it, who is the one who has to scrape the body parts off the road and inform the family? You got it, the police. Show some respect people. Its a tough job. tickets are more then just revenue...

police try to get my information and harras me all the time and always fail, tho it sometimes ends up in the station (illeagally) lol.
to deal with them, its pretty simple, do what they do. they will always ask you questions, you dont have to answer. all you have to do is ask them questions, like what gives you the authority? (often chuck statutes at you) Statutes can only be given the force of law by consent, i do not consent.

The worst police in AZ are the Sunnyslope police. They would not pursue my attacker despite my indicating I could show them where he was and I was covered in blood. They were more interested in searching and breathalyzing me. They said the breathalyzer was broken because it registered zero as i had not been drinking.
Police are not there to serve and protect !! That is a load of shit!

A few years ago a couple of cars down my street had paint thrown over them by some drunk idiots.One of them being my wifes car.The police were called and a police woman came to my house.She came in and started to ask questions.Not about the incident or ask for a description of the people who did it.No it was all questions about me.Date of birth, what did i do for a living etc etc etc.When i said that it was not important and if she got a move on she would catch them she went .off in a huff.

Also worth mentioning. Policing in the UK is no longer measured performance. It is measured on confidence and satisfaction. You have the right to say nothing apart from in certain circumstances which will be explained to you. Easiest thing to do is obey the laws set and if you have an issue bring it up with your MP and don't try kick up a stink with a bobby it wont get you anywhere. If suspected of an offence tell the truth and you will be fine!

A couple of points worth mentioning that would be quite important to know about. If an officer suspects you of committing an offence he/she will ask you for your name, address and date of birth and you are required by law to give that information. You will be arrested for failing to do so. Drink driving is dangerous hence it is illegal and you don't get a ticket, you get a ban. Seatbelts are a safety device there for a reason, takes 2 seconds to put one on!

Ask a "Peace officer" if you are "Obligated" to answer anything if you have NOT breached the peace. I was recently arrested for obstruction of justice, because I tried to resist unreasonable questioning about a crime I had no idea had even taken place. It was an awful abusive experience, and when I debated the issue with the states attorney, I was told there is a new law that when a crime has taken plade, anyone within the area of the crime is a suspect and has no rights.

So true. It's usually about "closing" a case instead of "solving" a case. We were really sold down the river when all these forfeiture laws took effect; the feds and some states can seize one's property without even charging one w/a crime. In the civilian world, that's called "stealing". But they give one a form to sign waiving prosecution in exchange for not contesting the asset forfeiture.
