  • That was a complete show of ill-regard and disrespect, and this video is a prime example as why falconry gets bed public views in the first place!

I have worked with birds for many years and would never treat one so poorly.

  • You must let that hawk bird. You may only take juvenile birds not adults. You can tell adult from juvenile by their tale. Adults have red tails hence the name and juveniles have brown.

  • haggard?

  • WHAT DO U TALK ABOUT WITH FIRST PLACE

  • WHAT DO U TALK ABOUT WITH FIRST PLACE

  • why would you trap them in the first place???

  • @abhiginimav it is required by the state to become a falconer. You have to trap a juvenile and prove to the state that you can properly take care of it and train it to hunt. Only 20% of juvenile red tails make it past the 1 year mark, so after the falconer has proven themselves competent in care and training, they can either release the bird (and now it can hunt! which proves to be a feat for the RT w/out being taught it or learning the hard way) or they can keep it and use it as a hunting bird.

  • i let it go cos. the bird was old red tail hawk if you can teal she had the red tail and the color thats how u can see if is old or kid

  • nice catch

  • @monstergreen64 you don't have to... but, it distributes the weight on the bird more evenly and steadies it, rather than it falling back an forth

  • Too bad it was a haggard...that hawk has some fight in it!

  • @silverleapers

why did he let it go,, the red tailed ,,???he was old or what???

i could not understand it ,,how can we see that the bird is young or good one to hold on ???

    thx
