  • Uhh... you'd think Chicago drivers would be more used to snow than us Nova Scotians... I've never seen that many four way flashers going in a single snowstorm. Wow?

  • makes me home sick I live in Ohio now but I will always be a Chicagoan its where I learned to drive so I do know the snow driving ha ha got my licence in 1964

  • Seriously, all you need is front wheel drive and traction control. AWD really isn't necessary, and is sure to lead inexperienced drivers into temptation.

Remember, AWD helps you get going, but it does nothing to help slow you down.

  • Amen to that! Like my dad says (both of us are native Chicagoans) AWD & 4WD means that you have two more wheels that'll help you get out of control.. The only time I've ever spun out in the snow was in my brother's AWD Mitsubishi Montero Sport.. I've been in FWD ever since (in the winter)...

  • best car to use in snow is a subaru impreza.the 4wd system means it'll hardly ever get stuck and since its a rally car it was born in weather conditions like this

  • A proper drivetrain is important, but more important are the tires. Even the best 4wd car with summer performance tires will perform worse than a FWD car with winter tires and/ or snow chains. I like Audi's Quattro. I took an Audi Quattro with a 3.0 liter diesel (lot of torque), winter tires, and manual tranny into the Alps. A number of cars with snow chains struggled to make it up the mountain, but my Audi drove like it was driving over glue not snow, I didnt even have to put the chains on!

  • @ Tim.. If you know how to drive in it, it's no problem. It's the people that DON'T know that make it difficult. You know like jamming on the brakes at the last freakin second!

  • It's beautiful to me...Love it!

  • This was on my 18th birth. Ur flying man what kind of vehicle do you have?

  • I was driving a Nissan Altima with Winter Tires on.

  • looks fun
