DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) is a relatively new procedure for treating Parkinson's as well as Dystonia (though not many Dystonia patients will receive it because it is intended for Parkinson's patients). Both my mom and I have Dystonia, she had the procedure done this past summer and Im hoping to get it soon. It is a miracle. She went from being in the wheel chair 95% of the time to running a few yards at a time in about 6 months. It is truly amazing!!!
