Kev, i found anothr way to do sidechaining yannoe. What i found is that if you ad the instrument to a FX channel n add the effect "Gross Beat", ders a option on der kalld Sidechain n dat sounds alright. Erm, reply and telluz if dis helps? Thankz THPr0ductionz

@THPr0ductionz gross beat doesnt have the same desired effect it doesnt follow the same kick wave! peak controller because you are using a cloned kick as an activator it fits perfectly with the kick (if that makes sence haha)

cool... i always used it a different way. i didn't link the volume of the stereo enhancer, but the channel volume to the peak controller.... and i simply did never leave out the kick, and instead muted it with fruity mute, which has the same effect, but is less comfortable. i think i'm gonna use your technique from now on :)

best way i can use it in an example is radio djs when they speak the music goes lower sidechaining acts in the same way something is placed in the way of the sound and it ducks underneath so in this example on my video im placing a kickdrum, whenever that kickdrum is placed the bass will duck underneath it!

If everyone could have just explained it as good as you have.. :p Just as a side note, to get one less pattern "layer" for those who end up with more than imaginable, just set up both kicks into one pattern layer so that you have only one kick pattern bar to worry about. This way you can't accidentally forget one of them (speak from experience). :p

Believe it or not there is a simpler way to side chain in FL studio

Automate the volume of what you want sidechained and have it lowest on the kick and around 80% just before the next beat..then simply duplicate over the beats
