  • I watch this clip almost every day, been doing for a while now :)

I wonder, were u able to sing this good in the beginning?

or somewhat close to it? did you take lessons and for how long ?

  • holly shit i Honestly did not excpect this when i clicked on the video holly fuckin wow lol nice job!

  • Did you have proper vocal training or did you just do it yourself? You did a wonderful job.

  • @ChrisKingsly I have proper vocal training.

  • are you a tenor? or possibly a high baritone? Someone answer.

  • @Zoe4631 My voice range would suggest that I'm a tenor.. though when it comes to barbershop.. I think I may make a better bari or lead than tenor.

  • does that high note hurt? lol thats ridiculously high

  • Posting makes me blink a lot too... Lol Great video! :)

  • music soothes the savage beast. thank you

  • Good job sustaining that end.

  • absolutely great! I became a fan...

  • The T in often is silent...

  • Jeez, you are SO good. The arrangements aren't simple either. You have real talent!

  • Oh third base... one day I'll have gone the distance, you'll see.

  • You have a fantastic voice and great voice matching...looks like you enjoy singing and performing! My daughter, 17, also sings and does voice matching for over 20 Disney characters at YouTube /Singing4Disney

  • WOAH ! THIS IS GOOOOOD !

  • PLEASE HELP!!! How do u do these videos!? tryn to get started! and ur very good bro!!!

  • you should just got to American or brittan or whatever ... just go in there like a BOSS and just (have a recording ofc of you other bas ect) and just win THAT SHIT LIKA BOOOOSSSSSS!

  • WWoooowwW..! you are incredible :d

  • if you ever need a deep bass send me a message

  • what program did you do this on been trying to find the name for some time now.

  • Is there any trick to being able to post that long? I just don't seem to have the lung capacity for it :(. Love the video!

  • genius <3

  • Dude, that was legit. Good job.

  • it took over 6 months of training... but I can FINALLY post on the end note for the lead part!

  • Are these photos all over your walls and ceiling? Looks cool :)

The singing part was good as well ;)

  • You have an amazing voice but personally not a fan of low voices but still props your an amazing singer

  • Holy crap that was incredible!

  • i put on the snow and i'm drowning the bottom 2 boxes :S

  • To be honest im not a fan of your voice. But your an incredibly amazing singer

  • @MrWhilis Aww you can't win em all

  • @daniscool99 But I have watched this video like 8 or 9 times and im not one to replay videos xP

  • @MrWhilis i agree not my style but no denying he can sing

  • @MrWhilis His arranging skills should make up for that. :p

  • For a heroes strength is measured by his FARTT

  • Impressive! How many octaves?

  • @Olithenotsogreat

    All of them. Haha.

  • You sound like you do what my brother does, when he sings he doesnt relax his throat and instead he purposely expands it. Regardless tho, defiantly some great knowledge of music theory and musicality.

  • "right where i beLONG" its sure is LONG XD lol very nice rendition :) i love it :D

  • Excellent job, Danny! :-D

  • My God, I feel like I would have passed out trying to hold that note.

  • @Brotteo No, he hit an A-flat, THEN a B-flat, then a slew of A-flats.

  • cool!

  • come on you are the best

  • This is awesome!!!!!

  • damn. amazing

  • Holy shit, this was stellar.

  • that was a big note....

  • I have to ask you this. In almost every video of yours you sing a really long note at the end. How can you keep breath throught all of it?

  • @daniscool99

Dan can you do Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap

Kerry Marsh's arrangement all 4 parts? It would be amazing to hear.

  • Yes.

  • this is awesomeee! but just wondering, why is it a video response to Girl's Generation's Oh?

  • I don't know what it is with all of these people hating on this amazing video! Not only did you do one of my favorite Disney songs, your singing is impeccable and I think it's just incredible that you can sing so many different ranges. You sire are the very essence of the definition of talent and don't let the haters get you down! I loved it and I'm going to share it with all of my friends that like music like I do. Great job.-Anthony.

  • @lasicrr You have to be ABLE to sing to enjoy doing it. But on a different note, I'd love to see you try it.

  • @lasicrr, let's see you do it!

  • @lasicrr four thousand four hundred twenty two people disagree with you

  • @lasicrr Bro, I'd like to see you try to sing this. There are very few people on YouTube that can sing a song like this, in this particular arrangement, as well as this kid can.

  • @lasicrr Fail troll is fail.

  • @lasicrr AHAHAAHAHAAHAAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAH wait...

LOOLOLOLOLOLOOL ur an idiot. get some ears

  • Wow. This is beautiful. Great job! Especially that last note. :)

  • Simply fantastic!

  • Great Job!

  • You seriously held that note for just under 30 seconds! O.O WOW!!

This is astounding, i love it - you have a wonderful voice! :D

  • @jonescalypso Wonderful voicES!! ;D

  • ive lost count on how many times ive commented on this video. its so beautiful.

  • @MrFuturisticman the likes on my comment will eventually agree otherwise

  • @MrFuturisticman ....What does that even mean?

  • Oh, I'll just watch Danny one more time. No, one more time. No, one more...

  • standing ovation man

  • aaaaannndddd BREATH! :D love this!

  • Key change<3

  • 101 people can not go the distance

  • My friend, i bow to your talent

  • Undislikeable.

  • Great video, color me impressed at the last held note, a lot of times its hard not to fluctuate a bit on those, but you held it steady. Amazing work!

  • You really had to do this song? This was the worst song from Hercules.

  • actually it's the greatest on hercules soundtrack. It was nominated for an academy award

  • Wow its amazing how long you can hold that note

  • ok, let me start again. lol. Danny, you are a great and talented singer. I respect you. but the Bass kind of throws me off. it don't sound like you singing if that makes sence, which led me to my previous comment. but i dont blame you IF you did audiotune. If i myself did a 1 man quartet song i would definatally have to audiotune the Bass.

  • Dan-

My big band director knew Gene Puerling. We were listening to some of your music the other day and he thought that the soprano line was Gene HIMSELF singing (i didnt tell my director who the actual singer was, nor that it was the same talented dude layered 4 times). if you have the ability to make my director put your voice on the same level as Gene's, then you sure as hell got some chops, brotha

    -Frank

  • @MrMusicdruggie Cool! Thanks Frank!

  • Not even worth to comment, this is just f*cking super awesome !

    Get famous quick !

  • Could you sing this song without....your other counterparts? I mean, this is beautiful, but I want to hear you, without your sound effects, you have such a lovely voice, and i think the solo version of this would sound beautiful. Just a request, you don't have to, but it would be nice to hear just you... :)

  • OOOOHHHH I LOVE IT.

Do you know where I can get a copy of the score? This is something that'd get me back to the good ol' SPEBSQSA

  • It sounds really good, but i cannot fathom on how Audiotuned it sounds =(

  • @jaydudeGDX Apparently you can't because I didn't use any autotuning. You must be confusing autotuning with tuning properly, or skillfully, with experience and practice. I could point out at least 10 points in this recording where I'm out of tune that autotuning should've fixed, but it wasn't there to fix it!

  • @jaydudeGDX Aw, now you've opened that can of worms again.

It may sound too good to be true, but it isn't. As a fan, I can tell you Danny has commented many times on the evils of artificlal perfection. It's a pet peeve, because he believes in real music. There is no autotuning or other vocal trickery going on here except for reverb, since spacious acoustics didn't come with his dorm room.

You are hearing talent, training, and a lot of hard work. It's OK to be impressed here. Join us.

  • @leNolaBoy Thanks. All I can say about the autotune comment is that I'm flattered that you think it sounds that perfect. Though, there's still a lot of room for improvement on this recording in terms of pitch center. So while some people may be amazed or accusing me of cheating, I still wish I sang it more in tune.

  • Comment removed

  • @jaydudeGDX At 1:32 the bass line of "time" seems just a bit off, just as an example, and autotune would have caught it. I only found that after really listening hard for any mistakes though. This guy is GOOD I'm amazed.

  • Love the New Zealand poster in the back

  • Danny, I absolutely love your videos. You are an AMAZING singer. I loved this song before, but you have done it so beautifully that I listen to it over and over any chance I get. Please, never stop singing. :)

  • @AuroraScene I won't stop, and thanks a lot. If you haven't yet, check out my newest video! More Disney, more barbershop posts, and more a cappella fun!

  • You have an amazing range. Absolutely beautiful. I wish I could do this. I can sing but nothing to this ability. Thank you.

  • Hello, my name is Paul. Let me start by saying damn, you got skill. Secondly, I recently started an acapella at my school and this is a song I was looking forward to doing. I was wondering if your arrangement is available.

  • 2:57 in the circle, in the circle of lifeeeeeeeee

  • It's 7 AM and since it's been a few weeks, I thought I'd start the day "on the right note" with a quick listen to my favorite thing in all of YouTube before hopping in the shower.

That was 20 min ago. That last chord just leaves me weak-kneed every time. This time it was 5 times in a row (not a record). Thanks to you, I am still stinky but now have no hot water and my coffee is cold.

Damn you, Danny Fong, and the unicorn you rode in on.

  • @leNolaBoy Sorry.

  • Simply amazing!

  • meeeh this is great :D love hercules <3

  • you have an awesome range!

  • 31 second hanger... nice Danny.. very nice. I applaud you!

  • i got chills listening to this!!!

  • hey danny are u circular breathing for that long note?

  • @MegaHoneyCombs No, t's impossible while singing to circular breathe.

  • @daniscool99 did u take a breath or something cause i couldnt hold it out that long

  • @MegaHoneyCombs he probably has more experience..

  • @MegaHoneyCombs I can hold a note for that long, but thats just because iv been in choir for all my high school years and iv been singing ever since...it takes practice but its possible

  • @daniscool99 lol i wish it was. then maybe everyone could hold a 26 second note -_- amazing rendition btw.

  • Hey Danny, I sing in a quartet, and we are interested in singing this arrangement of Go the Distance. Can you tell me who arranged this song and where i can get the music? It would be greatly appreciated. :)

  • @justie1220 It is arranged by Aaron Dale. Probably available through the BHS website.. but I wouldn't know for sure because I transcribed it.

  • wow! that was great. If i may make a suggestion, open up a little more on the higher notes and bring the sound forward on the lower notes. the higher notes sounded like you were singing out of your nose if you know what that means. the lower notes however sounded muffled and swallowed. So yea, keep doing what your doing but dont sing in the back of your throat and try to open up so you can lift your soft pallet on the higher notes. That will also help to hit those notes so they dont go flat

  • Just the fact that you did all parts of the chord full voiced makes you my hero dude ha very awesome video :)

  • Dear Danny,

I love you. I want to have your children. We can make a new race of musically inclined babies who sing instead of cry.

    Love,

    Kristelle

  • @VitaKristelle I love you as well and am flatteedr by your gracious offer to bear the fruit of my loom; however, I was recently involved in an accident that left me completely infertile. Don't worry, I'm okay. The baby thing might not work though.

    Forever yours,

    Danny

  • @daniscool99 Darn it. You're not serious...? But really--my friend and I fan over and admire you in the countless amount of time I spend in the choir room. It goes a little like this: "Have you heard Rendezvous lately??! Ohhh myy gosh. Oh. My. Gosh. That Danny kid is so amazing. He's just...he's so...he's awesome. I want to marry him."

  • @VitaKristelle Naw I'm not serious, just joking around. That's a good question "Have you heard Rendezvous lately?" Because I haven't. We're temporarily on hiatus for the next 2 weeks (and then again for 10 months while Brodie is out seeing the world with a *gulp* different a cappella quartet. Two members of Rendezvous (Andrew and Rob) are still enrolled in school, and I'm spending time doing learning tracks and other music related jobs around Toronto. I want to hear Rendezvous soon too :(

  • @daniscool99 I still love you though. Whatever happens, Rendezous will have my full support! You guys have been friends for a really long time, haven't you? So I'm sure you'll be able to pull through this minor setback. Friendship's one of those things where if you develop it thoroughly enough, it'll last and be very hard to break:)

  • cool cool

  • Nicely done! Good job.

  • singing is my passion, and ive wanted to do this song. but the only problem is that im a bass II and my falsetto sounds like crap, so im trying to get some of my other chorus friends to do it with me haha :P

  • @yazg6 Falsetto takes practice too, just like your chest voice for control and support. However, every quartet needs a good bass too, so you should go ahead and be that good bass for your quartet!

  • @yazg6 you dont need to falsetto for this song, even if youre a bass.

youd much rather sing this song in the mix voice or belt voice (mix is highest priority).

  • Oh my god! that is the coolest thing EVER!!!

  • Ive seen this video alot, still wondering why i dont get sick of it...

  • C'est toi qui écris les harmonies ? C'est absolument magnifique !! Je suis prof de solfège et choriste, je travaille beaucoup en studios d'enregistrements, donc, imagine comme je trouve ça merveilleux !! J'en reviens pas !!! ;-))))))))))))))))))))))

  • hey this deserves 364 million views :)

  • Where have you been all my life??

  • That was just beautiful. I love the ... gentle? tone to your voice, and the mood shift in the last third was unexpected and lovely.

  • it sounds like u just changed the voices of vocal spectrum.....

  • that was AMAZING WOWWWWWW!!! youve got a great range too! :)

  • What equipment do you use?

  • you are freakin' awsome!!

  • This is fricken awesome!

  • its ok but! mada mada dane

  • I LOVE IT! Very good!

  • do you edit your voice?

  • Comment removed

  • Oh and while I'm at your 'tube', let's watch this one again for the, what, 100th time? And one more time, and one more time....

  • how old are you?

  • Are you circle breathing on that last note or just taking a big breath and holding it?

  • Comment removed

  • how can you sing 1 note so long?!!!OMG

  • Where did you get the music sheet for this song?

  • oh and did u falsetto the tenor note at the end or is that ur chest voice or head voice?

  • @435msmith falsetto

  • holy crap bro this sounds awesome! U have an amazing voice range and a great voice quality as well! Nice job! Did u EP this?

  • ._. I'm going to kidnapp you...<3

  • Jeez man, way to sustain the note at the end. That was just impressive. Seriously.

  • you have an awesome voice! and quite a talent :) keep it up!

  • this has to be one of the BEST! A Cappella barbershop songs i have ever heard!

    WELL DONE!

  • hayyy!!..ur so handsome <3

  • @edencaga haayy! Thanks!

  • Absolutely amazing

  • How come there are so many talentless people who have fame for nothing (cough, cough Kardashians) when people like you should have so much more than them based on your incredible talent?? I wish you the best of luck.

  • I think I'm in love with you.

  • @MZY2053 I think this is going to work out.

  • Danny, this is probably the best i have heard this and you have instired me to continue singing songs like this and maybe i'll put my own acappela multitrack on the site and i just hope you can be one of the first to see it

  • Danny, would you please do me (and yourself) a favor and listen to this? I think you'll appreciate the harmonies in it.

    youtube.com/watch?v=_l3SLKMy6XI&feature=related

Thanks Danny. Let me know what you think of it.

  • Dang he held that note for like half a minute.

  • @Emaster03 i know

  • Wow! You are absolutely great. You have definitely got talent, unlike most famous acts of today. Thank you so much for sharing your voice with us. Check out some of my videos. They're old but still pretty decent. I'm working on a song that shows a lot more of my current feelings and influence. Be sure to check it out. I'd really appreciate it. Give me some feedback too. Thanks so much. You're a great artist and I hope you continue what you're doing.

  • I like your voice, but I think you might be creating too much space in your throat (if you're following me). Are you taking voice lessons? It might be something you should consider--to advance your technique and skill.

  • Hey man,

can you use this as a begining of rap?

  • @laxmandas No, No he cannot.

  • you have to low of a voice to be singing this song

  • @kpositive2014 No he doesn't. He sang it, didn't he?

  • @MrEaseondowntheroad well he sucks at singing at it

  • you look alot like Danny Noriega! haha ammmmazing arrangement x

  • This is the ultimate form of forever alone xD

Listened to this song about 97 times, and yes i am away of rendezvous. :D <3<3

  • hot DAMN You can hold notes long!!!! :O great job, Dani!!! ^_^

  • ... this has an amazing buzz.. you are doing something right

  • Dude!! That was great!! You have an amazing voice and range!!! Sounds amazing!!!

  • anyone else notice that he is holding the last high note for 24 seconds?

  • Is there any way to get sheet music for this? I would really like to perform this with some buddies for dinner concert my college's concert choir tour at Disney!

  • That was really awesome. where did you get that arrangement?
