  • Sonic is the best in the subcompact class now with the most hp, torque, and one of the nicer looking bodies.

  • @Thecarguy1254

Its also got a really cheap interior, questionable reliability, and poor resale value...

  • @xoquixxoqafxo Interior quality is not measured by how "hard" the material is. The Sonic's interior is put together very well. The 1.4t has already proven itself in the Cruze, and GM's resale value is improving by the day.

  • @Thecarguy1254

The plastics feel flimsy and brittle, and 1 one on the market is not enough to prove reliability for a vehicle

  • I already have a Fiesta but I want to test drive a Fit for comparison. My dad is getting a new car soon and he likes the Fit so mabey we will have both cars together!

  • @Filup93

I have a 2012 Fit, I highly recommend it, especially with the manual transmission :)

  • I agree the fit is friskier. It definitely has a firmer ride. That is why I chose the versa rode a lot smoother. I wonder which one is actually quicker? I do respect CD and the fact the fit has always made the ten best list

  • 2012 sedan model is INCREDIBLY roomy but also incredibly slow. has 38 inches of rear legroom

  • I have a 2010 versa hatch. It is an S model with 4spd auto. I to did not like the CVT when I drove an SL. I drove a Fit and really wanted one but my payment was going to be almost $100 more per month. The Fit was around $19k and I got my Versa for $14k and change due to a $1750 rebate. Yeah its kinda forgettable and a lil silly lookin but this mother has a huge backseat and the hatch is great. It feels a lil quicker than the Fit and rides somewhat smoother. Fiesta tiny inside & a lil noodlearmed

  • @joegolden481

I just bought a 2012 Honda Fit Sport M/T... for me, its worth the extra cost bc its a much better vehicle than Nissan's Versa...

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

How is it better I like the Versa better to each is own and also CVT is faster than 4 speed auto no pauses shifting.

  • @broskiskunk

I just like the sporty driving dynamics, stying, interior flexibility, and better reliability of the Fit. I'm a driving enthusiast, I don't like CVTs and cars that are boring in corners

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

I wouldn't necessarily call a Honda fit a fun car around corners either its not sports car.

  • @broskiskunk

Compared the the Versa, Yaris, Accent, Rio, and xD, the Fit is plenty fun to drive. Havent driven the Mazda 2 or Sonic yet but I know the Fiesta drives sporty. Have you even driven the Fit? It has a well known reputation for being fun to drive in the corners...

  • Oh wow. They failed horribly. Chevy sonic would blow that away.

  • how come they brought it back to an automatic tranny? i remember being in one and it had a cvt. i guess too many people complained about it. i personally like the auto better than cvt

  • @thweepz

The SL models have a CVT. S trims have a 4AT.

  • @xoquixxoqafxo oh gotcha thanks!

  • @xoquixxoqafxo the cvt was only offered on the hatchback version of the versa SL

  • next year they are reduing the nissan versa and i think it looks great for a cheap car.I heard the might bring in the jukes motor, which is 1.6 litre 4 cylinder which produces 188 horse power which would certainly give it the pep ur looking for.

  • @electricwonderbars1

from what i saw at the NY auto show blogs, the 2012 Versa just has a 1.6L with 109 hp... plus its really ugly too lol

  • @xoquixxoqafxo yeah but thats just the sedan. I meant to type the hatchback. It hasnt been released and leaked images have pictures of a turbo badge.

  • @xoquixxoqafxo that's gonna be the base model, for budget consumers. The 2012 Tiida hopefully will come out soon in the US, looks sharp!

  • @xoquixxoqafxo the hatchback may be different according 2 the versa hatchback released in other countries with a nicer interior and exterior..

  • @xoquixxoqafxo thats the sedan version though...

  • 4 Spd it is. Kinda rare for me to say that, At least 1 would get more satisfaction out of it. Wasn't too bad at all but yeah this car looks like a penny on a sidewalk that nobody cares to pick up.

  • @Intechdude300

lol I'd say this car is more like a quarter on the sidewalk. A penny would be an Aveo, a nickle would be an Accent and Rio, a dime would be a yaris, and a dollar would be a Fit and Fiesta LOL

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

In that case I'd pick up the dollar hahaha... But I was leaning towards looks as it is forgettable looking car, especially the sedan.

  • @Intechdude300 I think the hatch looks pretty hot for a 5 year old design

  • Nissan is redesigning this next year, I think they are bringing the Micra over from Europe. The current Versa platform will be used for the next Sentra.

  • @2004NissanSentra

I certainly hope Nissan makes it more sporty to drive

  • @xoquixxoqafxo The current Versa just uses cheapened down suspension from the 01-06 Sentra, which was pretty fun to drive. My 04 has a perfect balance between sporty and comfortable, more like a fluid feel to it. Hate to see Nissan take something good and cheap it out, at least the Micra will be a whole new platform so I know it will be a huge improvement over the current one.

  • @xoquixxoqafxo The Fiesta hatch is sexy. I was just at Honda and I saw a fit. Not very pretty but as you said, up there...

  • okay....my car is faster. lol

  • @SubieSean

I got 10 secs to 60 for this car, I'd say your is def a bit faster lol

  • @xoquixxoqafxo I tried doing a 0-60.....but I ran out of room. I dont have a straight empty road anywhere, where no cops would be.

  • @xoquixxoqafxo got 9 sec on my 04 sentra 1.8 w/4 spd auto when it was stock, now it's 8.4 sec w/K&N filter

  • @2004NissanSentra a filter is not going 2 knock the time off like that. i use 2 eat sentra for lunch when i had my versa lol

  • lol, my mother has a '09 Versa Hatchback

  • @KingEastCoast

I mean they are decent sub-compact cars and a good value. Just not very sporty to drive but they are very roomy in the back seat. Like I said I'd rate this car 3rd after the Fit and Fiesta which battle for First place lol

  • @xoquixxoqafxo Love the hatch, my grandma has an 09, it's a base model but it's a great little car. The sedans are kinda bland and ugly though. It definitely feels cheaper than my 04 Sentra.

  • @2004NissanSentra

Yeah i was bummed when i picked this up and it was the sedan, it looks soo frumpy next to the hatch. The hatch also offers 50 cu ft of space i just dont understand why someone would choose the ugly sedan next to the hatch.
