Assassinate isn't horrible. I can still pull off 7k scores, but it takes 15+ kills. If deathmatch isn't fast paced enough try it out. But being stealthy will only screw you over.

You can throw a smoke bomb before they get to you so you can stun them or you can use Mute so they can't do anything so you can stun them or you can use the Body guard and it might stun them. Otherwise the best you can do is take a stun swing at them and get an honorable; it'll knock their bonus to discreet and you'll get 100 points. That's pretty much it.

Deathmatch is a fantastic game mode, I was hooked after a couple of plays on the Beta. It's fast paced, intense, you don't have to chase little bitches all the way across a huge map and roofing is pretty well nonexistent. You can't beat it. I'd love the chance to play a couple rounds with you on the PS3 when you're online sometime, so you need to set up one of those open lobby nights so we can throwdown Shenmue!

In Brotherhood, I hated Assassinate with a passion. I think Ive won only one match. In Revelations, I win with 15+ kills almost every time. Its more fun when you dont get your ass handed to you :-)

Sir Shenmaster, firstly, I love your videos. Just wanted to say I've been having moderate success in Assassinate using the typical smokebomb/poison setup with the 550 7 killstreak, kill buffer, and overall cooldowns... And i'll say that not the low points per kill, but rather the ability to throw smokebombs and the ability to drop smokebombs mid-kill are the things I've found to change the dynamic of the mode the most and are what take the most getting used to.

What do you think of the contract system? I'm having a hard time with getting in the lead in the beginning, getting 3 Pursuers (which I expect, that's not my complaint), but every Pursuer I get ends up RIGHT next to me. And my contracts always end up being across the map or someone with multiple Pursuers, usually because it's the person I just had as a contract. Killing NPCs won't give me a different contract, either. Any tips for this, since you always seem pretty flawless?
