I think there is some exaggeration. 1/20 is when Obama will be inaugurated, so 1/21 will be his first day in office, and his term will be very challenging (obviously) starting from day-one because of current crisis. I think this is what Biden and Powell are talking about.

The reason you don't want a CO2 tax in America is because you emit far too much above your fair share, sorry. The U.S. emits 22% of world CO2, the EU 14% while the U.S. has 300 million population and the EU 400 million.

China emits 18% and that's a country with over five times the population as you in the States. You're gluttons! The level of CO2 means: You EAT twice as much as the EU (and we're not starving - plenty of obesity here), you USE more, you WASTE more than than Russia+India+EU !

I'm not sure I care whether CO2 is warming the planet or not - CO2 is an indicator of other facts - you produce 6 million barrels of oil per day yet you use 20. That twenty is close to a quarter of the world's daily oil.. What the hell are ye doing with all the world's oil every day !

CO2 is NOT causing global warming. Every planet in the solar system is heating up and your suv is not the cause for temperatures rising on Mars and Jupiter. Also the temperature on Mars and Jupiter is rising 4 to 5 times FASTER than the temperatures on Earth and they are obviously farther from the Sun than we are, which is indicative of an outside heat source entering our solar system, not solar temperature increase! From here I will leave it to you to research. National Geographic is a start.
