for people who cant sign in their router account just go to your router and put a pen in the reset hole and then wait for it to start up and then go to 192.168.1.1 on your browser and it will ask you for a password. your welcome

u need to port forward but if u have u need to put 25565 that is the minecraft code and it could say chose from some options chose TCP hope that helps :D

@yournumberful make a manual static ipv4 address by using a program on portforward << search it on google find your router find minecraft server and find a link for static ip and they will give a nice tutorial if your still stuck :)

First off I love you because we actually have the same exact modem. I've actually been to the modem setup website before but didn't know what to do. @theminecraftmistro You have the same ip because that ip that starts with 192 is a local ip, say if you have different devices connected to your network it will say:

Xbox: 192.168.1.1

PC: 192.168.1.2

@theminecraftmistro To configure your router, contact the people that make your router (wether it be netgear, linksys) (NOTE: a router is NOT a modem) and ask them what is the default pass and id for your router. (Its possibly under it, on a sticker) this will get you through the identification for your router.

@theminecraftmistro the ip that you're looking for is the server's ip which in this video is the one that starts with 174.X.X.X (dont be stupid and give that number away, that's like a credit card number so keep it a secret) once you make the server you want to put the server's ip.
