didn't get anything out of this video . have no clue if its an expensive guitar, but to me it sounds thin and like plastic . srlsy but u should demo these things with "real" acoustic guitars instead imho ..

@UncleJoey12 totally agreed, after trying my yamaha and ibanez guitars with the Dr-880 drum machine, with patch #41(Chorus acoustic guitar tone) I got compliments from people listening my performances. It simply sounds amazing. well to be honest I clean it at bit with my avalon U5 specially for recording, but for live use, my dr-880 is making a great difference even without the Avalon U5.

Cool Cool. Looking forwarding to adding the sounds of Acoustics that I really like but don't have a great hand fit. So now i will have the sound of my guitar, and a mix w/ the favorite of the other for any given song, OR just the sound of the other Gitfiddle......love it.

Uh...this pedal is a joke. When he switched to the Martin D-28, a real acoustic guitar player would know that thing does not sound like a D-28 not even close, Idiot! Get a Zoom A2 or Fishman Aura guys!

Hmm...I have to say that if this video is an acurate representation of what the AD-8 sounds like, my older AD-5 sounds much, much better.

@gmdinformation What about the Boss AD-3? I know it was the first version of these acoustic pedals. I want to purchase one of these, so I'm checking out what others have to say in compairing all 3 models. :)

@sargentppeper The AD-3 doesn't have the "body" control on it like the AD-5 does. That was an early kind of modeling, and it worked great. It depends on your pickup though. Some, like the old Dual Matrix system, sounded better through the Yamaha AG-Stomp.

A Carvin AC375 with the Fishman Prefix Pro pickup system and a Godin Multiac nylon/cassical string with RMC Hexaphonic multi senser pickup. What Boss pedal would you recomend? Just want to warm these guys up live. Thanks again! :)

@sargentppeper I had a Godin like yours. It sounded pretty good through the AD-5, but not great. The Fishman will definately sound better through that Yamaha unit I mentioned because it has a mini-mic, and those tend to do better through the Yamaha. It might work better on the Godin too. I never could really get a really good sound out of mine with the AD-5. I mean, it wasn't bad, but wasn't great either.

I guess it's because of the guitar, Guild is a high quality instrument it doesen't make sense plugging in this box!

any acoustic with a pickup, piezo-type pickup works best, most acoustics come with this type.
